  1. Very nice!
  2. No clue. It was the first time I registered. Never made a post or anything. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  3. So I registered an account on RG and waited for the email from the mods when the account was created. The email never came but my login works. Problem is I can't see or do anything. I use taps talk to view the forums. So I login RG and be a message saying I've been banned. I have no way of reaching out to the mods to say WTF either. With that said, RWG is for me!
  4. No, but I've been in contact with MD2020. Once I make my mind up, he's been gracious enough to help me out. From what I've been reading, I'm in good hands. How about you? Any solid contacts in the area?
  5. Sure am, Upper Marlboro. You?
  6. Understood. Excellent point.
  7. Is there one in this hobby? I have my projects, but I'm noticing that upgrades will exceed the price I paid. Logic says to 1) sell what I have to, 2) fund the purchase of better pieces. Although it takes the fun out of upgrading and repairs, if I purchase the right pieces from the right trusted dealers, my odd of getting a better quality piece increase greatly. What are your thoughts?
  8. Well, they say go big or go home. @Ricardo. I want to be as close to 1:1 as I can. What do you suggest? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  9. I'm new to the hobby but I've picked up a few pieces with hopes of making future upgrades. I love panerai's so it was only logical that go with them. I took advantage of some really good deals while I was overseas. I'll have to make more upgrades and corrections than I originally intended but that's all apart of the hobby, isn't it? I won't be doing the technical work myself; MD2020 is gracious enough take care if this for me. I don't have a detailed timeline but will get things completed over the next year or so. I'm in no rush. I'm open to suggestions of corrections I should make. They say 4 eyes are better than 2, so my odds tremendously increase with your help so let's get started. First up is the PAM441 ceramic. The case isn't bad IMO, but the blue AR coating should be removed. The dial lume isn't terrible either but the hand are, so I'll do both with the correct lume color. I didn't take a pic of the crown guard because it looks correct, flush all around. The crown and spacer (between the crown and case) seem correct as well. Outside of this, I'll get the movement serviced and upgrade the strap. I'll post more here soon. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  10. @ ExtraExtra - Who have you selected for servicing?
  11. I'm home for Thanksgiving R&R and my little boy has been asking my wife and I to go to Chuck E Cheese for months now. So, we went...and he had a blast!
  12. My next project.
  13. My little man is turning 3 in about a month. He already has the bug; always wants to wear daddy's watches. Good times, gents! Good times.
  14. Wow!!! I'm impressed. It's gorgeous.
  15. This does look amazing. Outstanding work!
  16. It would be great if your friend would let you do side by side shots.
  17. My name is Craig and I'm brand new here. I stumbled upon the site from a a simple google search. I'm here for educational purposes, I suppose. I purchased my first and on rep online for way too much. I called myself doing the research, but I guess it wasn't enough. I love watches but I don't like the reps that aren't as close to the original as possible, like your cheap Canal street knockoffs. Maybe I'm a bit of an elitist, but my next purchase will be from whoever makes the best and closest match. Not to fool others but because of the craftsmanship involved in making it. With that, I'm open to any advice, suggestions, pm's with experiences. I don't want to repeat the same mistake twice. (I purchased a PAM 111 for $400 that would've sold to someone far more knowledgeable for far less.) Thanks everyone! Craig
