Co-Axial movement...jibberish! If you want complications buy a Tourbillon.
-
To a certain extent...I agree with the original poster. PO's in my opinion don't have much "feel" for the money, and I believe there are better alternatives out there pound for pound. To those who are quick to get after this gent, relax...he wasn't comparing rep and gen, but merely saying he is suprised this particular watch fetches what it does.

Anyone got the new replica 45mm PO rubber strap yet?
jec97t replied to dangerman's topic in The Omega Area
No offense but that looks awful...i have thin wrists too and have avoided this watch (although i love it) altogether. Very cool look but it looks like you borrowed daddy's timepeice. JEC -
Hey Mark, It is smaller but still a substansial and attractive watch. I own one and I must say as a professional, it you are wearing cuffed shirts i cant imagine anything bigger. Avoid the trend, if you want a sport watch that is fine, but this is one of the ONLY stainless jobs that can go from casual to dress and for that reason it is a versatile, worthwhile addition to any collection. Give the dealer a month to fix or or tell EVERYONE WHO YOU ARE DEALING WITH. Also...to substansiate your claims post pics here...nothing inspires the die-hards like a little photographic evidence.
-
WAIT... JUST REMEMBER...if you are a professional and want to wear a stainless watch to work DO NOT GO WITH 45MM WATCH...YOU ABSOLUTELY will not be able to fit it under your sleeeve. However, if you want to wear it out with your Admin Pink rolled up ever so cleverly to reveal it go ahead... JEC

BTW-THE WATHC IS SO GOOD-I took it into a jeweler who services Rolex, Patek, VC, etc...he said this was a BEAUTIFUL watch and he much preferred it understated elegance to alot of the monsters out thier today that will not fit with a dress shirt under a suit. AWESOME...BTW-this was a jeweler who retails in arguably one of the most affluent zip codes in America... You guys were right...I just needed a little more force. I have it set and it is purring. One question...The movement looks pretty good but it I had the watch cleaned, lubed, and serviced could I expect a better run of the second hand? I have heard it is not a terrible idea to have this done anyway as these movement are puchased in mass and are a little stale.

OK- just got my Explorer 1 from Andrew and it is a beauty. You had to be a AD or die hard RWG to spot any difference. However, trying to set the thing and I am wondering if I got a dud... I did they usual...unscrewed the crown, felt a little click, then wound forward and she is ticking and purring well. BUT, went to the next little click out to set the time, turn it counter clockwise...and nothing-can't get it set. Not only that, the watch's second hand doesn't stop. I thought that was the point of the hacking mechanism. Am i making a mistake here in noob fashion or did I get a dud. Please advise, in a relatively light flame way. Thanks JEC

If (and when) we reach consensus I hope one of the more knowledgable will report it. JEC

My So Called Best Sub Arrived: 400 $ ? 300 ? 200 ?...
jec97t replied to Stephane's topic in The Rolex Area
Oh...G.W. Bush this and that...[censored] judging by the Stephane you are either French or worse Canadian so please be quiet. If you are Canadian your opinion is useless and if you are French your opinion is quasi-useless unless we are talking about Champagne, berets, or the best way to surrender in war. Worldwide economic stablily could and would continue without either of those states... Now having said that...I like your watch and nice pictorial. JEC BTW-if the dollar is so worthless why are 30-year treasuries on a huge run...foreign buyers must still find the underlying credit attractive -
Where Did You Graduate From And What Degrees Do You Hold?
jec97t replied to thomasng's topic in The looney bin
You may be right Pugwash...these are artifically imposed hurdles. However, serve thier purpose...if you want to have a crack at many top tier opportunities you have to forsake current opportunity and pay your dues just like the people who are hiring you did...Keeps those who are only moderately interested or not capable of handling these difficulties away...therebye creating a more suitable applicant pool from which to draw. JEC PS-physicians didn't know [censored] about medicine the day the entered medical school, but what they had done was show the ability to absorb large amounts of information and make critical decisions based on facts set before them...they had managed the selection process, and paid the price -

Damn It, I'm Weak - Put My First Ever Replica Order In
jec97t replied to OrangeSpoon's topic in The Omega Area
Seriously...I think the 45 is a mistake...I know the "big" watches are in vogue but you absolutely cannot wear one with a suit...or wear many shirts with it on. My rule is this, if you are not 6'2 or above...go with the 42MM...lest you look like a little boy wearing daddy's watch to compensate. Just look at a guy like Tom Cruise (5'9ish) in a panerai...it dwarfs him. JEC -
Actually, I don't think they would have to spec new hardware specifically for AR'ing watch crystals...many of the more modern frame styles are quite small so the technology is currently in place to get this going. JEC

The point about buying one if you love it...but not bc it is reliable is valid. I have a rep JaegerLecoultre complicated and it is gorgeous but very tricky...caveat emptor. Buy for looks but realize it is a rep and the price point is a giveaway...it is not the real thing and it doesn't carry warranty. JEC

Do you offer waterproofing...? I just today purchase the $198 Rolex EXP I from Trusty (a watch I think you have) and it just seems really queer to take it off every time I am on a boat...I mean why buy a 3500 watch if you cant take a quick dip while fishing on the coast...did you WP your watches or were they waterproof? Please advise. JEC

IF THIS IS A SCAM YOU WILL BE OUTED HERE...WHY WOULD YOU BUY A BEN ROLEX @ AD WITH PAPERS AND SELL IT ONE WEEK LATER... HUH?
