  1. Derek, I think a review won't happen very soon... ATM I haven't got QC pics, and then the shipping procedure with UK transshipment will need some weeks... But when she is in my hands of course I'll do some pics and post my impressions!
  2. This is the limited edition "Blue Sky", and she is pure porn!!! Saw her a couple of months ago at an AD, this blue is just awesome! A grey-silverish-blue (or you can call it steel-blue), just fantastic! Can't find the right words to describe this stunning colour... I highly doubt that this colour, this effect, can ever be repped...
  3. Honestly, I don't think that the new Navi is really worth the $358... for me it's more about $250-270... but... it definitely IS a huge improvement over the previous version. I tried to sum up the pros and cons in another thread, long story short: it's not perfect, it's certainly no (so called) super-rep, but the best we can get now. At least one of the biggest annoyances is solved: now the sliderule is properly aligned! And heaven only knows when a better version will come out... What makes me really angry with this version: the low beat movement inside... WTF?! Why on earth??? I really like the style of Breitling watches, and I like most the Navitimer series - and I'm (too?) curious... So I pulled the trigger 2 days ago and ordered the new Navi (black dial, of course...) and now I'm eagerly waiting for QC pics. I'm really curious about this version and will keep you posted!
  4. If you want to see beautiful high quality pictures of beautiful high quality watches then is Martijn your man! Thanks a lot for sharing this outstanding pics sir!
  5. Great watch indeed! Here's my banana wolf on SS bracelet:
  6. Agreed, compared to previous versions this is a huge step forwards! Personally, for me this is a rep within the $250-300 range, especially with a low beat movement. I would happily pay $300+ if this Navi were in the top-noob-fac-league, like the Superocean Abyss Chrono for example...
  7. If it was a decent rep $388 would be ok...
  8. No news about the price yet... Angus removed the $388 from his website and said he will check the price with the maker. Really hoping that the maker will do a v2 of this with a regular (28800) 7750 movement!
  9. It IS a A7750 movement with working chrono, but only at 21.600 bph (6 ticks per second). But you're right, this is definitely NOT what we all expected...
  10. Sad news... Angus checked with the maker and confirmed that the new Navitimer will have a low beat 21.600 movement! "The maker wants to engrave the movement and only low beat movement can do this..." I don't get it, the Navitimers are having a closed caseback, so why on earth put they a 21.6k movement inside?
  11. Don't worry too much about the sunken DW, BMW is right: with a black DW this flaw is much harder noticeable. I have a black dial B01 with a black DW and you must inspect the watch very closely to see that the DW is sunken... I think this new Navi is not perfect, but a BIG improvement. If you're a fan of the Navitimer just go for it, if you prefer (so called) Super-Reps there are better choices...
  12. Angus just chimed in over at RG and put a little light into the dark... He confirmed: - double AR - high beat movement - not superlumed - quality of bracelet is good, but not on par with latest noob bracelets - price will go down a little bit; atm he removed the price from his website and will check with the maker the new, lower price So far good news!
  13. I can understand if the demand is huge the prices will go up... also inflation etc... But: about $400 for a non-Superrep is just beyond for me. For this price tag I expect definitely more (HBB v6 for example), but that's just my personal opinion... Curious about your mentioned biggies!
  14. Right, $468 for a Seawolf v2 is just crazy! Glad that I got mine a couple of month ago for $378 - for a non-Chrono this "old" price is really high enough imo... Thanks PeteM for the clarification about low-beat! If this new Navi really got a low-beat 7750 inside the price tag is just ridiculous...
  15. Maybe our prayers have been heard... Just looked at Puretime's new arrivals section and found this: http://www.pureti.me/product/navitimer-01-11-ss-black-dial-on-ss-bracelet-a7750/ On a quick look: - Updated Breitling logo - Updated date font - Aligning slide rule - Red Chrono second hand - Raised Breitling logo on clasp The bad thing: $388 There are also some questions... - AR is only mentioned as "sapphire with AR" - so no double AR? - lume is not mentioned at all - so not superlumed? - RG member spotted that the subdials are too close to the tachyring What's your opinion about this updated model? Worth the $388?
  16. Congrats Martijn! Stunning looking watch and awesome pics! Wear her well mate...
  17. Take a look to the "Watches, Clothing & Accessories" section mate...
  18. Very true! I have the yellow chrono, outstanding quality of the rep. Btw ordered her from Angus.
  19. I´d like to say be careful... It depends a lot of the destination country, how strict the customs are! Germany, Austria, Italy etc. are very well known for their VERY strict customs; nearly every package from China will be checked, so it would be great luck if your order goes through. If you are located in a country with strict customs I strongly recommend buy from a TD which offers Triangle shipment (Transshipment via UK), for example Puretime or Trustytime. This is a little more expensice (about +$25) but it is safe...
