  1. Ken, I wish you all the best! At the moment I'm only into watch reps, but I'm also interested in shirts or handbags - looking forward to see your brand new page! Btw, do you offer triangle shipment for EU customers? Badly need this...
  2. OP, welcome to the club! My first rep was as also a Breitling (black Navitimer on black leather strap) from Puretime, and I enjoy this beauty nearly every day... ...and like many othera here I'm also hooked, ordered 2 Breits more (from TT) but sadly they are still in transit, stuck in UK customs till Dec 27. So I ordered one more on last Friday - seems I can't get enough, lol! If you buy from the TDs here you can't go wrong, Andrew (TT) is really a great and honest guy, Puretime also! Have fun and wear you reps well!
  3. I suggest go for a black dial - this is THE color of the Navitimer. Looks great, no matter what clothes you are wearing (suits, casual...). But as ever, it's all personal taste!
  4. We're all impatiently waiting for a decent new version of the Navitimer... Perhaps this will come true in 2013...? For now the Skyland Avenger is a good rep, and also the Montbrillant Legende.
  5. When I was new to reps I read, read, read for about 3 weeks on different forums - here is so much information, guides, reviews, comparisons etc. that I'm pretty sure you will find all the info you need! Welcome to this addiction and have a lot of fun with this amazing hobby!
  6. With a Navitimer you can't go wrong! I have one with leather strap, and really love this watch - it looks awesome even on my small wrist! Case diameter is about 42mm, but with the white slide rule surrounding the black dial the watch looks smaller.
  7. Try PM Angus directly, or email Francis (personal assistant to Angus). I'm confident that they can help you!
  8. Puretime is a TD here, so no worries! Just look around at the dealers section, read the reviews and compare the watches from different TD. There are many threads about, so just step in, read a lot and you will find much valuable information here...
  9. I would PM Angus on RG for sorting this out. As far as I read about things like this, Angus is very willing to solve any issues. So I'm pretty sure that there WILL BE a solution for your problem!
  10. Good idea OP, I think there are enough guys in here which have Hublot, or wants to get a Hublot, or have some questions/issues etc. So you got my vote!
  11. I feel very comfortable wearing reps in public! I wear them with pride - pride of "successful hunting" the rep, not being scammed by fake-sites on the web etc. All my friends and also my team at work know about my hobby, all were very doubtful when I placed my first order at a TD, and all were very surprised that everything went smooth, and I received my rep, imported directly from China to an EU-country with strict customs. And also all were also surprised and impressed about the quality of the watch for a few bucks! The "rep-world" is a hidden world for most normal people, and they listen to my stories (about my experiences in getting the watches) with great interest. By the way: a friend of me owns the exact same model of my first rep (black Navitimer with leather strap), and it was he that was most interested: I had to come to him immediately after delivery of my watch, for a side by side comparison.. PS: he could not believe how good the rep is... And for sure the Navitimer is NOT one of the best reps out there regarding to accuracy...
  12. Servus! I wonder if there are also any Austrians here...?
  13. Imho perhaps you should think in the other direction: choose a watch which you really like (design, color, subdials etc.) and then look for a good replica of it... But to answer your question: take a closer look to Montbrillant Legende, also Super Avenger or Skyland Avenger - these also seems to be very good reps.
  14. It is so sad that some (or many) noobs don't like to read, research and learn! They don't know what they are missing!!! For me - and I am also a very noob in the rep collecting game - it is a great pleasure to read all this valuable informations, and I am very thankful that experienced members share all this information - for free!!!! And some threads are also pure entertainment, so sit back, relax, enjoy and read, read, read - it is really worth the time, and it is absolutely interesting!
  15. Changing bracelet/strap isn't that hard if you have the right tool. There are tutorials and also videos, for example you could check http://www.breitlingsource.com/ Even this is a fan-site for gen Breitling, this can give you valuable information for adjusting length for bracelet, changing straps and many more... Hope this helps a little bit - good luck!
  16. I am just another newbie in this hobby and thanks to guys like you (and the whole community here of course) I feel a little more protected! There are enough scammers out there so I think the least I can do is saying THANKS to honest guys like you!
  17. OP, now that is clear that the delay wasn't puretimes fault, and Angus will resend if it's lost, how about editing the thread title as stated by rogerthat already in post #20?
