Ordered the bezel from Vostok-Watches24.com
https://www.vostok-watches24.com/e-home/e-spareparts/e-massiv/#cc-m-product-13697045992
All stainless steel rather than an insert. Took around 2-3 weeks to get to me in the EU from Russia. Also tried this on there for a while. Looked a little top-heavy to me though. That’s the beauty of the Vostoks, easy to swop the bezels around.

Very impressive! Looking forward to seeing the result.
Great watches and easy to mod too. Dial, hands and bezel on mine upgraded...

HR is usually fast at responding.Do you know if they reply fast normally? I sent an email but no reply. Also what is the watch in your picture? Cartel? The watch is an MBW case. Dial HR, mixed hand set, Yuki pearl and insert, Athaya crown and tube, Gen T19 service crystal, ETA 2846 movement.

MQ is as slippery as they come. As slippery as a very slippery thing dipped in WD40 twice!

Congrats! Lovely work. Watch looks great!

Go with the PA 462-66 crystal, available from Ofrei. It’s very close to a gen service crystal. The T19 from Clark will distort the rehaut. Here’s a shot of one of my earlier builds with a Clark crystal, look how thick the rehaut appears to be at the bottom.
Here’s another of my earlier builds with the PA 462-66, see how even the rehaut appears.
And here’s my MBW with a Gen service crystal.- 1

not bad, do they provide hands in same color?
Yes, but the proportions of the hands they have on offer aren’t the best. -
HR will do a custom lume for you in any colour you want. Just ask. For the price the dial is excellent.

One of my favourite soundtracks. A BRM V16 belonging to Nick Mason. Featured on a CD included in the book about his collection, “Into the red”. Best to listen to in surround sound!

Unfortunately Goodwood has become a money spinning circus and is much more about ticket sales, family entertainment and supposedly comical re-enactments than about cars. Nothing wrong with family events - don't get me wrong but the emphasis has shifted too far away from what it is supposed to be. IMHO.
True that. I used to go to the Goodwood Revival every year. Was a GRRC member for a while too. The early years were a dream come true. Even so, it just got too crowded for my liking. Stopped attending over 10 years ago and haven’t been back since.

Have you ever come to see motoring events in Italy?
I’ve been to Brescia for the Mille Miglia. On the same trip, had a factory tour of Lamborghini in Sant’Agata and visited the museum. The Miura is a timeless beauty!- 2

Rolex MilSub ref.5517 Project: BUILD
in The Rolex Area
Posted · Edited by jackflash
Well, that's pretty much the info I sent you via pm. I'll post it here, others may find it useful too:
If I were to build another 5517, I would buy the complete case set from Ruby. (Request login password via email: infor@rubyswatch.com)
http://www.rubyswatch.com/Products/watch-cases/sub-c5517
Ruby's bezel insert is currently the best, it's also included in the case set:
http://www.rubyswatch.com/products/k15-|-submariner-|-5517-|-bezel-insret-1878
Although not perfect, dial from Ruby too:
http://www.rubyswatch.com/Products/parts/sub-5517
Hands from Yuki:

702 crown and tube either gen or from Athaya:
http://parts.athayavintage.com/product/aftermarket-702-crown-and-tube/
Movement:
Ruby’s case is for a Gen 1520 movement. Alternatively an ETA2846 with adapter ring from Yuki. Check case dimensions with Ruby first. She may have an adapter too.

Admiralty Grey NATO strap from Phoenix, the original MOD supplier:

Check out the section for modding services here on RWG:

Caveat: Some may suggest it, but bon't buy any parts from MQ! He's tricky to deal with at best.
That’s abut it. Good luck!
