DW Daytona had the poorest value. But I somehow have the feeling the watch has a curse attached to it. Some ppl will know what I'*m talking about. You think it's working, but WOHOOO the next day something is wrong. Than you get a super expensive movement for it, and still something does not fit here or there, or well you know, its a pain in the ass! I sold all my parts except for the Genuine Crown&Tube. I may get another one in the future, but for now, the DW 6263 is just too much for my nerves along with other project I have on hand!

I do remember, and I want one of those
-
some dog stuff, nothing worth careing about (at least not for me, I have better things to care about)
-
didnt you post the exact same topic like a week ago?

I did not say you were arrogant. I did not say you were santa clause. I did not say you HAD to sell the movements. I did not say you HAD to sell the movements for an unreasonable price. And I did also not call Cucumber an [censored]. You guys need to read what I write and not put words in my mouth that I never used! Although, if I may add, I do not see why someone has 4 movements and wants even more. But fortunately, there are still members here who do not want to own the whole world and are very helpful, Marco for example. Thanks again Marco If I may also add, I understand why Cucumber maybe does not tell someone who is new and whom he does not know _everything_. What I dislike is when people try to benefit as much as possible community but when they discover that they might not be able to own 27 angelus movements, they play the "everyone for himself" game.

I do know a local watchmaker that can repair ANY damage on a watch, because he makes watches himself and has all the equipment. If you have a broken one, or one thats missing a stem, I'd buy it, as long as it has the correct size
-
Yeah, guess why I called a certain someone a big arrogant [censored] via PM

I dont think that PVD coating looks or feels like ceramic, but I'm no expert! I'd rather have him make the fancy bracelet, though
-
Alright, I just thought someone who names himself Submariner and is a member here for well more than half a year should know, and I therefore thought you were making some kind of joke And btw. Daytonas do not have DAYONA24 engraving on the back and do not come with a rotating bezel (right, ttk? )

germany rocks! World's No1 Exporteur

Are you still not getting the point? Are you making fun of me now, or do you REALLY not get the difference between a FAKE watch (violation of intelectual property) and a fake gun (not a real firearm, neccessary for not killing the actor)? I somehow have the feeling you have either not read anything of what I have written so far, or you have not understand a single bit of what I have written.

muahahah, I win

are you serious or is this some kind of joke I dont get?

That "could" be possible. It could also be that Uma Thurman had sex with bigfoot and was then abducted by aliens who gave her a fake rolex in exchange for "experiments" If it would be part of the plot that you have a fake watch, it might be a differnt story (and even then you cant just use a copyright infringement from a questionable source), but fake watches and cheap stuff were never part of the plot. It was quite the opposite, Uma was pretty rich due to her contract killing!

My argumentation is not full of holes, just because they do it, doesnt mean its Okay or right. They simply must not use fake stuff in movies. What kind of picture does that deliver to the audience? Especialy when its a Production such as Kill Bill that gets them almost a billion $. And its really stupid to say "they use fake guns, so they can use fake watches, too". Fake guns and fake watches are not the same ballpark, using this argumentation is just plain stupidity.

I would definetly say Precious Time's. Dont buy the other watches, they are crapoly

They do it all the time, everywhere in the world. Some kid shoots a few ppl at school and they blame it ALL on the computer games. If those games really make ppl do such things, there would be at least 10000 shootings every day, because almost ALL healthy kids play those games. That guy who shot all those ppl (ResistantX) had other problems in his life. He said that he was not going to put up with the konformist [censored] of our society. he said he did not want to live a life whose whole prupose was to work work work and then marry and later find out your wife screws the neighbor and you got a brain tumor just after you retired. He had to re-do 9th or 10th grade twice and he had no perspective, because veryday we hear on tv that there are no apprenticeship places for school graduates and that the social security system will collapse sooner or later, because the polititians are to afraid to do something fundamential about it (for example paying ppl who chose NOT to have kids LESS pension). He was also bullied around at school all the time, he was once forced to put a glowing hot piece of metal in his pants by upperclassmen, and none of the teachers really did something about it. He said his schools' headmaster was a big fat lard that only showed up when there were public events, but was always gone when there were problems. Yes, that kid loved guns, and he loved playing those games. So do I, and I did too have a few bastard teachers, but I did not end up killing everyone at my school. Before they start banning those games, they should make sure that kids can get an apprenticeship place after school and that they have a life perspective. If you have a dozen kids that have no perspective at all, you shouldnt be suprised if they start running amok. Those suicide bombers in Israel also have NO life perspective, because their homes are bombed and their friends get shot and their children have to drink dirty water. Israel of course thinks that by bombing them even more, they will all say "its hamas' fault that israel bombs us, we have to fight hamas". That is NOT how it works. It hasnt worked with the germans during WW2 and it is not working with Muslims in gaza and lebanon and it is also NOT working with kids in western countries. The solution is to give them a perspective and not to fight them even harder in the hope that they will get it sooner or later

Look, I'm sorry, but this is really [censored]. I posted this on timezone and I'm now only quoting it, so please dont take it personal quote start: You do not get it, now do you? I thought smart ppl frequent this forum. Seems not to be the case! Counterfeit watches are produced in China or Thailand or elsewhere in the Far East. They are a Copyright infringement. You know what that means? It is ILLEGAL! It is illegal to purchase and/or import fake watches in (to) the USA, which this clearly is. It is not a propwatch or whatsoever, its a cheap asian DayDate Daytona copy that has NOTHING to do with Rolex Watch U.S.A., Inc. It is the same as if William Petersen would wear a fake Armani suit from Bangladesh or visibly play copied Xbox games on the show. I'm sure that Rolex Watch U.S.A., Inc. would have been more than HAPPY to provide a real watch for the movie, you know why? Because it would be free product placement! The last thing Rolex Watch U.S.A., Inc. would do is give them a obvious copy of the Rolex Daytona. The watch completely lacks of the Chrono functions of the real daytona and looks laughable. Why would Rolex Watch U.S.A., Inc. authorize them to use a Fake, or better, even give them a Fake that has been made somewhere in the Far East without any authorization? Government tells us, that Fake watches support Terrorism, so are we to believe, that Rolex Watch U.S.A., Inc. sends them a fake watch of questionable source while trying to fight the fake watch industry so badly? If you SERIOUSLY believe this, then I declare you mentaly challagned! And the same goes for all the other ones who think they are so smart with their "they use fake blood all the time" punchline. Fake Blood and Counterfeits arn't even the same ballpark! Prop Guns and Fake Blood on the other hand are NO Counterfeits. - end of quote Summing this up: Replicas are ILLEGAL items, unlike other prop things (such as prop guns, fake blood etc.) It is simply unlawful You cant do real drugs in a movie either, because its illegal, too. If you show a fake watch in a movie, you are presenting a product that is not real and of poor quality. I do not think, that ANY company would appreciate this.

The good thing here is, my DHL driver really likes me because he comes here almost every day He even says "hi" when he sees me at the mall or so and everytime he delivers something we chat a bit. Very nice guy. Btw. I had something "lost" in the mail, too. I ordered something from the UK and the package never arrived. The seller refunded me though. I really really hate thieves. It wasnt about the money, it was about the item, it was a collectors item which is impossible to replace.
