  1. Great gesture by the admin!!! I feel soo humble that I will have to contribute before my vip membership is up. Thanks for the opportunity.
  2. Hey Flipster, great to see you here as well. Nice watch, makes me think of trying it. Any recommendations on which Pan to get first that is priced like this one? Looks great, how does it compare to the other more pricer ones? ps. glad you got your ICE ICE baby Avatar back .
  3. Well done burgers I hope. I like my meat grilled good .
  4. I like to see an accurate rep - dont call it a super copy if it isnt and the QC gotta be there! otherwise give us well priced, well copied reps without the 'best' version crap.
  5. I really would like to somehow protect our dealers from crap like this, but no ideas now. Hope you get this resolved Sash, would really like to deal with you down the road on several things and am sure the members here support you.
  6. Then, I call for the next, if it has anything to do with a SDweller. P.s. looking for any DrSD MBW or equivalent quality dials .
  7. Great looking rep! I too am looking for a bracelet and dial for my vintage 1665. They are not easy to find. Lucky buggar
  8. It sounds good with me. I am the same way. I am also looking for another gen, but if I can get a great rep, then why get that gen. I will get some other gen and the rep:-).
  9. Glad I found this thread. Ubi and Co. please include me as I definately need one for my 1665. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU NEED FROM WHEN READY. Thanks for the great effort.
  10. Niel, I will be in also if you can get the pricing on the non rollies (AP, PP ect.), based on that I will definately be in for something.
  11. I had not thought of that. I realised the more 'believability' of a white dial, but had not the funds for both reps. Now, I would definately be open to the white dial as well. Whatever I can get at this point.
  12. Pugs, you or anyone have a an origional MBW DSRD dial not being used? I would be very interested/appreciative obviously. Please pm me. 'sigh' Thanks.
  13. CRAP!! It seems my MBW DRSD that I got from Pauluk , over at TRC, has the CN 1665 dial and not the MBW dial that it should have (I was not aware of this until now, but had a nagging feeling). My dial definately is the one on the left with a larger space between the 12 o'clock marker and coronet. And the markers are thin and drker yellow as the left picture . Unless I am mistaken, I was not aware of more than one version of the MBW 1665 vintage dial. I guess I need to pm Pauluk and ask that, and now where am I going to get a MBW dial?
  14. In reference to the dial, which one is more accurate in terms of the 12 o'clock marker? The one on the right is closer to the Rolex insignia whereas, the one on the left has a larger gap between them. Also, it seems the right one has a thicker font. Thanks.
  15. I too really like this, but will wait for the early reviews while I save up.
  16. Thanks everyone, thats what I thought. Its only that all the rollies I have happen to be the hollow link versions (even the modern LV sub?) that I wanted to be sure. Now I am with those great 'wild' pics from Ubi.
  17. Now that is something . I am sure many were not aware of that, and actually I think many more will join if they are aware of this (see the Patek post from WM as an example).
  18. How to tell a bracelet has hollow links? Pertaining to the rolex bracelets, how can you tell that you have the ones with hollow mid links? I understand the weight would give you an idea, but is there something we should be looking for visually to confirm its hollow links? Thanks.
  19. Thanks mickey. You are the second that has assured me of the color of the markers. So now, looking into a gen pearl, cg work and a little 'vintagizing' of the 1665. Need to pace myself;-).
  20. Thanks for the kind words guys. By-Tor, that is really nice hearing good things from you. I have seen the great work you have done on your rollie and other projects. I would be more than happy if I could at least come close to what you have done (but without having to spend another large $ amount). Mickey, thanks for the the tip, will look into it. Any thoughts on the dial markers color?
  21. If you see some older topics, you'll know that I was seriously thinking about getting rid of this . NOT anymore, back to my senses
  22. Currently I have a MBW vintage DSRD that has been modded to some degree: genuine vintage crown/tube swiss made bezel insert holes drilled for spring bars vintage bracelet with hollow links paint removed from case-back new improved 'Clark' superdome crystal ordered I was planning on sending the watch (and superdome) to get futher mods. Any suggestions and/or feedback on what further to do would be appreciated. I think that the dial markers are darker yellow(more yellow than what I have seen), is that ok? Also maybe the cg have to be trimed back a bit? Thanks. ps, excue my photography, my camera died so I was using the camcorder to take these pictures.
  23. BMW, why even think about it? And no they are not flashy, its a 3 series (their most common). Its just more upscale than a Passat.
  24. Thanks for the review, I happen to go once in a long while to Bankok (before I knew any better), but the next time I will visit the store.
  25. Superlume for me too. As above, i would be willing to pay for that - as close to gen as possible is what i want otherwise i'll get something else.
