  1. Looks good! After seeing a couple of Pateks I am starting to like them more and more
  2. AP Parts are more hard to source than Rolex parts but there are franken AP projects. Pretty expensive projects though but you are already known of the fact it will kost you around 5k Unfortunately I never saw a franken AP Diver or gen diver parts for sale.. Interesting project, that's for sure!
  3. IWC Laureus Ingenieur on the genuine IWC strap for today
  4. True but I also like wear a flashy watch for example a rose gold 44 Hublot Big Bang I only wear my S5 in the weekend, when I'm at home or just chilling or when I'm working late at home. It's just so confortable
  5. The 1016 is also a "small" watch which is, like the Seiko 5, really confortable to wear! I had a Tudor Ranger, I think it's the same size as the 1016
  6. Nice! This would make the job easier And no I never tried luming with an oiler in one hand and a loupe in the other hand, I think I shouldn't try it at all
  7. Why paying for a safe at a bank when it isn't insured, in that case you are better of with a ninja room
  8. That's great, "May I please have my money"
  9. I like the idea of a ninja room mate.. Great tip, thanks for sharing S.! I also got a safe at my local bank, it's insured for 100k so I can store some watches over there as well
  10. Nice!! Please share some pictures if you receive that strap!
  11. When I go to sleep I put my watch in the winder. And like Droptopman already said, when traveling I put my watches (all of them) in the safe and I prefer a safe not at home. 3 years ago all my watches where stolen during a burglary so when I'm traveling they go behind good locks
  12. Looks great E. Can't wait to receive my BigDazza 6200 build
  13. My Seiko 5 was produced in May 1983 and it still runs very strong. It's just so confortable to wear, to be honest; I wear her every week
  14. I'm just not that much into buying homage watches. Yesterday during the GTG I spoke with a homage builder/collector who has over 100 homage builds. But he said the building part is the most fun of it, and if a watch is finished he starts a new project. So in my opinion, i wouldn't buy a homage unless I can build it myself.

  18. Guys, I just ran into this article on the web. By Jack Archer Talk about a steal. We’re not suggesting you throw your Submariner on eBay in favor of this thing, but if you’re just getting into the watch game or are looking for a radical gift for a friend or family member—this bad boy, the Seiko Men’s SNK809, is your ticket. Here’s what we’re looking at… — AUTOMATIC movement. No little battery and computer chip powering this thing, it’s all gears and old school engineering keeping this thing ticking. This sort of thing normally costs a pretty penny. — Has a slick and durable mineral crystal dial window and features luminosity, sweeping second hand, exhibition case back, and a date window that can be formatted in English or Spanish. — A tasteful case diameter of 37mm. — A good looking 18mm canvas strap. We would recommended picking up one or two alternatives from the guys at Crown And Buckle to keep the thing looking and feeling fresh. An Army green NATO would look especially sharp paired with this. — A regular price of $195, it’s marked down 68%. Sounds like a no brainer decision for people looking to pick up a solid timepiece on the cheap… Here are some photos from the guys at Worn & Wound that will probably convince you to click “add to cart” if you haven’t already.
