  1. Indeed, I'm still doing a lot of reading and observing. Im beginning to think now that the only way to know for sure is to try. However, the more I read, is the more willing I am to go out on a limb.
  2. Aman, don't feel bad. It's understandable that you're disappointed that your buy didn't go exactly as planned. However, be happy that your watch is good minus the scratches. Don't think anyone is getting on you for being dissatisfied, because you're the one who spent money, so you're entitled to state your feelings. Just take the whole situation into perspective and you'll realise that your original post and the title could have been stated in a different way, if not done away with altogether.
  3. I understand aman might be upset about the response to his issue, and I also understand that the scratches should have been mentioned, but It might not warrant a complaint. The seller gave you an alternative and you would have been made whole if you took him up on it. In doing so, He accepts that he might have been in the wrong. That alone makes this thread unnecessary. But that's just me.
  4. Oh go right ahead, hijack away! Mart, your transocean is Gorgeous. I commented in your purchase thread or in the pictures thread. Brilliant.
  5. Thanks Mike, I know all too well that reading is fundamental. I'll look for 10 reasons to not buy before I find a single reason to go for it. I just know that once my first buy goes to plan, I'm going to be addicted, and then, married or not, Ill be a dead man. Oh well!
  6. Do I need more of an introduction? I've spent some weeks here, then I eventually signed up and even posted a couple times... Now I figure I should at least introduce myself. I'm going to need to make some friends here anyway, since I'm sure my girlfriend is about to dump me pretty soon for looking at watches on the internet all the time. Of all the watch and rep sites I've visited, this is the most active and gives the greatest sense of security and the users are most knowledgeable, so I think ill stick around for a while. Will I pop my rep buying cherry any time soon? Who knows? All I know is that the longer I stay here the more likely it is that I will! I love Montblanc Timewalker Chronos, Breitling Transoceans and Rolex subs. Looking forward to seeing some more nice ones. See you all around!
  7. Come on guys. Be a little nicer to noobs. You might scare away those of us who really love watches. Like me. Those of you who are receptive and welcoming, keep it up! I've been looking at replica sites for ages, picking out every detail that made me wary of purchasing my first rep. Funny enough, I've seen every last one of those sites I used to look on listed here as scam sites. Coincidentally, there was a scam site I used to visit that had a similar scam list..lol..needless to say, that site is also listed here as a scam. Like Double agents in the rep game! Its confusing! I've never done as much exploring of a rep site as I have here. And in doing so, I've only come across one sketchy detail that made me sceptical. I wont say what it is, but I haven't seen a repeat of it so I'm still confident in this site and the people here. Despite that, I still have not bought my first rep. I cant get myself over the hump. I really love Montblanc TimeWalker Chronos, and Bretling Transoceans. Of course I love Submariners as well but i wouldn't make it my first rep. I've seen some nice ones around here, but I think Ill settle in a little more before I press the trigger.
  8. I had been following your thread in Joshua's review section. Seems like it was well worth the wait! Your watch looks amazing.
