Hi all, I got my QC pics for my first rep today and the timegrapher, the results show a rate of +013 s/d. From reading the Timegrapher Reading tutorial, I know a rate of up to +/- 12 seconds is acceptable. So should I just go ahead and give the OK for this watch to be shipped, or is this grave enough for me to raise my concern with the dealer? With my limited experience, thinking about a watch gaining as much as 13 seconds every day seems a bit much, but maybe you guys can enlighten me some more. Thanks.

The only time I ever got anything close to questioning regarding a watch, was just after 9-11. At the first passport checkpoint, the officer asked me what time it was. Now since he also had a watch on his wrist, and seemed totally disinterested in the actual time, I could only assume that the question was designed to make sure that what I was wearing was actually a working watch and not a modified detonation device. Put that down to the security paranoia that was prevalent at the time. Apart from that, nothing.

Think positively... It could have been your favorite watch.

As MD2020 said, nobody is stopping you to check the authenticity of your watch at the airport. Maybe if you had multiple watches still in packaging in your luggage they might try to ascertain the value. But otherwise, no worries. I've traveled to and from the US repeatedly and I've never seen or heard of this or anything similar. Fret not thyself!

I took a vacation to NY a couple years ago. I love that place. I walked along canal street but never spent enough time there to get into reps.

Ektelon, I am thinking about getting my gf a rep as well. Joshua displays a wide variety of Cartiers on his site. The Pasha and Ballon lines look great to me.

I am also looking for a rep for my girlfriend. I was thinking about a Cartier. Thing is, I haven't seen anyone else buying any Cartier reps, or having reviews for female watches. period! Because of that I'm not sure where to look for quality female reps.
