I'm sorry, I know this is AP forum .. but I feel more at home here to ask any questions re reps..
After having collected APs only i though I might diversify a little (just a little ;-)) and looked at Panerai.
These particular Panerais caught my attention and I thought it fitting to ask you guys' opinion first.

What do you gents think about this one; movements & overall quality. (not too worried about the strap)
I appreciate your opinions.
My short 2 cents..
People who worked hard to climb the ladder of social status and enjoy humble life usually don't have any grudge against...say owning replica watches.
People who happened to be born into wealth or high life usually have grudge because they feel their special privileges are being stolen.
My brother is a successful dentist who owns two clinics.. I'm a Lawyer in training + commercial pilot + O.D. We both own few gen watches but we both love our reps.
I sort of understand where they are coming from but I'd rather buy, say 10 reps instead of 10 gens and enjoy them while investing savings on really worthwhile projects such as building schools for impoverished parts of the world. Now I think that is true measure of your status.
Thank you. I'd love to change to gen low beat ETA later but there is no watchsmith near where I am that can do the mod for me.. I'm kinda stuck with out of box goods.. so.. in terms of comparison btw the sw200 and eta 2824-2, there is not much significant differences so that I shouldn't be too fussy about either one?
Thank you Gents,
so, how would you compare this with sw200? (I'm assuming they are different.. i beg your patience since I am an extreme toddler at rep world)
Which would you recommend?
Thank you
Me too
Did you get yours from Puretime or Toro? Apparently both of them ran out of stock in lightning speed (according to sources from various forums) but Toro shows they are out of stock but Puretime is still showing as available. I wonder what's up.
I think it pays to e-mail them just to make sure.
I am married, have two little kids and also have a mortgage... but still couldn't stop my finger from 'compulsive jerk' that pressed 'purchase now' button..
Hi guys,
Does anyone know of any watchmaker or service people that operates in Auckland, New Zealand?
I'd like to get several of my APs in for servicing and possible mods in the future, but can't find one.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated! ;-)
Thanks guys for the warm welcome!
Back to the issue of restraint .....
I am married and also have a mortgage....
But my index finger has life of its own........
I surely appreciate your diligence and search skills!
I had placed an AP ROO bumblebee in cart and before pressing the purchase button I decided to ask.. good thing I did..
I too am a big time impulse buyer... I am in constant need of someone who can restrain my 'clicking' finger.
wow, if that's the case, I feel so relieved and at the same time very disappointed!
Relived that I asked before plunging and disappointed that I was only dreaming....
I was looking at some rep vendors and found this site; swisstime.sr.
They claim to offer 'clone' watch, not replicas. (Personally I don't know what the difference is)
Has anyone bought from this site??
They offer roo bumblebee with forged carbon casing and if this site is legit I would like to give them a try.
