Hi all, I found a submariner for sale. In need of some TLC, a new insert to begin with. However, the pictures i got made me believe it is not genuine. Is someone trying to scam me with a noobmariner or another rep?

I emailed a lot of our TD's and haven't found one. There was one for sale on the other RWG. But it had a aditional mesh and relume which made it a bit expensive for my taste. I guess i will be reloading all the m2m boards for the next year or so... And lets all hope for another batch or an V3

Thanks guys! I was aiming for a gen but the prices are way too high to justify. The cheap ones on the bay seem to be from dodgy sellers. Considering the specs of SF, a gen from the AD is not an option. The M2-2 is 1700 euro at my local dealer. I now ordered 2 reps to see hoe deep the love is.

Thanks Legend. Ive already cocluded that this dealer is dodgy. So i will either go for a gen at the AD or search for a good rep. The M2 isn't repped very well IMHO. But the question remainig, is whether is should report this to eBay. The watch he offered me isn't listed on eBay. However, he is offering SF's there. And if he was aiming to scam me, his other listings are probably going to hurt eventual buyers

I think he did. But another option is that these are random pictures which are also used by rep dealers. I dont want to accuse the SF dealer because i found his pictures on a site of a rep dealer. Hi all, I am on the look out for a Sevenfriday M2. I got into contact with a dealer and i asked for the M2. He claims to be located in my country. He is also on the bay where he claims to sell overstock of SF. He has no feedback on the bay so i was not planning to go that route. However, a local sale is an option for me. That way i could check the watch. He sent me pictures. He is expecting stock and states that the pictures are from a watch he has sold earlier. Notice that this is the same watch. In case of doubt, see the scratch on the strap near the SF. Am i correct that someone is aiming for a scam? Should i report this to the bay? Our contact is through mail. He is not offering this on eBay. He does however has two other SF listings.

All, I love watches, I love having them, but searching for the perfect one is even more fun. So when my father needed a new watch, I offered him to help. He eventually chose a Pam homage from Getat. First of all, I know the stories and topics about Getat. So, I knew the risk. And I knew I had to be patient. I order a lot from China so I know what patience is. The watch my father picked, was also a pre order, which of course required some more patience. Here's an overview of the timelines: June 10: Order confirmation + payment + confirmation. July 15: Received tracking code. Tracking code did not work. No panic, my experience with tracking from HK is not very good. Just sit back and have faith. August 12: Email to Tat. Told him that I had not received the watch and tracking code does not work. No response. After this I have sent him several emails asking about the status. No response. September 15: Emailed HK post. They told me that the tracking code was not registered in their system. Emailed Tat again several times without any response. I know this hobby comes with the occasional disappointment. I will be frustrated and will get over it. But I hate it when it happens with a watch for my father. I know i might need just a little more patience. But refusing to respond to my emails is just plain rude! Needless to say I would not recommend anyone to do business with GETAT! Thanks for listening ;-)

I am also looking for someone in The Netherlands who works on reps. I have a 2836-2 which needs to be fitted in a gen datejust case. Along with a new DWO. So no repair actually, more a 'putting together a build' Anywhere in the 'Randstad' would be very nice!

I just measured the insert from the case i had here. The case is from a 5513 from Silix. With a plastic crystal. It's fits perfectly, no shaving. And yes, the pearl is wrong. But my main priority was the colour and fit.

Hi all, I know this might be a long shot, but i can't help myself asking... There is a GEN Ebel 1911 discovery on it's way to me. The famous panda. Bought it here from the M2M section. Now, the bracelet is stated to be very short. So i'm probably gonna need 1 or 2 bracelet links. There are some on the online market. But they are not cheap. So my question now: will the bracelet links of the rep fit the gen? It that case, i will try to find a rep bracelet. Again, i know my question is a long shot, because i probably need to find someone who has both the rep and the gen. But i hope you can help me or set me in the right direction. Or just sell me your spare links of course, that will shut me down immediatly ;-)

I am also experimenting with a (in my case cheap) blue snowflake. First I had a Clark insert but it was almost purple. The second attempt was a cheap one from the bay (J&K). I'm pretty happy about it. I do not know if I'm going to experiment with it (oven, drain cleaner) Here two bad iPhone pictures: (and a Rafflestime dial with dirty Clark crystal)

You're not alone. Was thinking about this topic before I fell asleep yesterday. I am relatively new to this hobby. Although I have read a lot (i mean a lot!) here and I'm no newbie when it comes to gens. Yesterday, I bought my first PAM (061D, M2M here). I am impressed by the quality and appearance. I like it a lot. However, I like it, not loving it. There must be some kind of explanation for my lack of love. It has it all, the looks, the presence and a fantastic strap. Yet, it does not do it for me. I was comparing it with Jessica Simpson, in her good days. I understand the beauty, i really do. She has it all (except the brains maybe). But I can't say that it really excites me. I like it but will never love it. It will be in my watch box i and i will wear it occasionally. But she will always be second choice, never true love.

Thanks for the warm welcome and sympathy. No, I have not been fined, just an angry letter. For my next purchase, i will use a dealer that offers UK shipping. I am searching for another vintage submariner (5508) for modding. Silix has no stock of this model. I hope i can find a cheap one somewhere else. However, with UK shipping, it will never be really cheap i'm afraid. Well, maybe a good reason to find some more rep for my wishlist and combine shipping.
