  1. Ja...the Seiko bug has it There is yet another Seiko coming in (should be on my wrist on Thursday) and I'm already in negotiation for a Brightz chrono
  2. well Mike...that's how it happened in the past...Paypal changed their policies or at least their view of it :|
  3. ...that's your first post in 9 months...dude...guess you'd better try another playground...
  4. Lessons learned I'd say. Domi already promised he's going to do the best he can on this POS so that I can sell it with clear conscience to get at least some money back
  5. As some of you already know...I'm going gen. The Seiko virus got me again and since I already bought a Seiko Marine Master 300 and a Seiko Solar Diver Chrono I felt the need for something dressy but still masculine I'd love to get me a GS but at the time I decided to buy this Seiko here I still thought I'd like to keep my 5513 rep. Well...what shall I say...I decided to keep this blue faced Seiko and still want to buy a GS so I have to sell my 5513...that's how life goes isn't it?? So I read a lot about Seiko GS the last few weeks and there is one thing that always pops up...a lot of the GS don't have lume...something that always hold me back. But...almost any GS owner says that the hands and indices reflect the tiniest bit of light they can catch and so they are readable when there is at least some light, unlike some of the lumed watches which aren't lumed well. One can read them at night, but not at dawn. The hands of the SARX005 are the same that are used at some Seiko GS and so I'm able to make my own experience with it without spending thousands for a Seiko GS And that dial...man...I love it...one has to love it...it's unbelievable what light (and the lack of ) can do to that dial. I had a lot of blue watches in the past...gen and rep, dressy, sporty, diver...none of them was such a beauty. The only thing that is a little disappointing is the bracelet. Seiko has some problems at this point...the non GS bracelets are always a bit cheap or at least not as good as the watch itself is. But maybe there is a possibility to mount a GS bracelet to it...the only thing that is holding me back is that I have to spend the same money for a GS bracelet that I spent for the whole watch...well...we'll see SARX005 Automatic 6R15 With hack +25~-15 seconds/day Sapphire glass Skeleton back SS case & bracelet 50hours power reserve 10bar water resistance weight 145 g thick 12.9mm case size 47.8 x 40.5mm Here is a very nice video of the watch that actually lead me to buy it Pics:
  6. Fits but no need for change imo
  7. So...it's done...I tried and failed I didn't mention the real nature of the deal (rep purchase) since I didn't want my account being closed. So I tried my best with describing the real problem and providing descriptions about the condition of the watch. The douche never disagreed and now I know why... According to Paypals policies it's intended that the buyer delivers an experts report about the condition of the good he received when the description is different to the actual condition ... I have a watchmaker within my family (no...only gens ) and asked him how much he's gonna ask for such a report...depending on the time he has to spent and on the value of the watch he charges between 1,5h (~130€) up to 2 days or even more. So in reality that means (even for gen watches!!)...if the seller is able to proof he shipped (no matter what he shipped...buyer has to proof it was faulty/wrong/missing!!), there is no way for a buyer to get back his money, even though he received a wrong/faulty item or there wasn't anything in the package . That's very very disappointing
  8. No more likes on this cool combo?? I love it
  9. Yeah...I liked them a lot during my Panerai era and just though "why the heck not having one for my MM300"...
  10. I'd love to have a round or two with her and I ain't a boy
  11. ...well...sort of As some of you know I'm not a big fan of rubber/leather/nylon straps or the like. I usually wear my watches on hard and heavy stainless steel...but...(remember...there's always a but )...maddog straps are something totally different. His straps are so buttery soft, so nice to wear but still solid and "heavy" from their haptic perception...it just feels right to have'em on the wrist even though one only likes SS on his watches So I asked him to make me a Baseball strap for my MM300. He had a nice piece in white (a Dodgers ball back from the 50ies) that jumped right on my eyes...choose the style, the stitch and the thread colour and only a week later it's on my wrist (he's always very fast which is a big plus for a flipper like me ). If you like to get some really nice straps really fast...try him http://www.maddog-straps.com/
  12. Cool...looks a bit like a Mido All dial diver but better. I like it Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
  13. But what, at the end, happened to him. Does he get away with what he did like nothing happened at all. Or is justice just slow and he's getting his treatment one day? Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
  14. Wooooohoooooo....just bought this one What a beauty...man...can't wait to have her on my wrist Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
  15. ...sorry mate...I love it The MM300 retails here in Germany for 2k€. I think it'll be avail in the US of A for less...maybe something around 1.8k$. I do have a pair of Olongapos from the Master himself Jaffy Jurado. I'll try if they fit the MM...will be a killer on the Olongapos, pretty sure Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
  16. I have to say it was a big pleasure to cut the meat with my new Nakiri Excellent Japanese steel on the wrist and in the hand...what more does one need?
