  1. ...a good example is possibly me... The only mod necessary to the 42mm APs for me is the sec@12 mod done by Domi and some others (adding an additional jewel). The optical flaws aren't some for me. The watches look great just as they are and there is absolutely no one around me who's able to call me out...I doubt that they even know what AP is And since I only wear them for my own pleasure I don't see the reason to sink any penny into eliminating flaws. The movement and the overall realibility is way more important for me Right now I do own a v3.5 diver, a Safari (unmoded yet) and a Chronopassion (hopefully back in a few days from its sec@12 mod).
  2. ...just for those who remember Daktari Just arrived today...a very nice but yet unmoded Safari. The sec@12 is a little shaky but other than that it's running strong . But hey...I knew it before and already planed to hand it over to Domi to let him perform his magic The watch looks really nice...the creamy white dial is amazing and the bezel screws are already sunken and aligned. I don't want to turn this Safari into a Franken or SuperFranken, for me it's good like it is now so the only thing to do is to get jewel mod done to improve the movements realibility On to the pics...
  3. Well...I do have an 8.1inch wrist and still four links left. Guess that'll fit your wrist too Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
  4. Look what just came yesterday Now I defo need another one for my Safari
  5. Well...for 10$ it's all okay...but it's only a watch that looks like a Submariner 16610...there's pretty much everything wrong (hands, dial, cg, crystal, crown, clasp, bracelet, endlinks, you name it ).
  6. Well...wow...that's leaving me almost speachless
  7. There is nothing "wrong" with that TC other than that it's a v3 and not a v5 and that's clear already. I just don't get why a public thread was needed when all this could have been discussed via PM I know that dutchy is and I call myself a gentleman so I don't see the point to share this "issue" with the community. Not that there is something to hide but is there something to point at? Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
  8. Today I received my heroic 18 buckle Now the beauty is mounted on a black donerix croc till the bracelet is coming Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
  9. Try APBands...they're expensive but a least they seem to have some and as for what I heard they're worth it http://apbands.com/shop/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ROO-BARCAP&Category_Code=BARCAP&Product_Count=0
  10. ...but aren't available yet Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
  11. Thanks for the hint A but I guess I'll pass on this. I'd like to have a real fake bracelet and not a suposed to be Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
  12. Yeeeharr...I already "ordered" a CP at my very own special TD Would be a great addition to the diver Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware
  13. .................... !!!! ????? ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Use'em as you like Great watch bro...probably the only rep Milgauss with a gen GV crystal
  14. I always thought that I'm a RLX/Omega 40-42mm guy and all watches beyond that size were way too big to be comfortable. But...(there's always a but ) there are so many nice pieces with 43mm and more and I always loved the look of the APs, especially the Diver. So...few weeks ago I bought a 45.5 pumpkin PO just because I had the gen on my wrist during the birth of my third child (second son ) and I felt like I need to have at least the rep sort of back And...funny thing...it felt good on the wrist plus the others don't seem to be too small even though they are way smaller. Next purchase was a Breitling SA which I thought measures something like 43mm...well...now I know it's more than 48mm but still wearable and at the end that lead me to AP So I traded my TC 16610LV with dutchguy2 for his v3.5 diver. I know...actually the TC is worth more than he was asking for his diver but his watches are always in very good condition, exactly and most times better than described and in addition I know if any problem occurs dutchy is a real gentleman and a problem solver...so no risk at all and this is something which could be and should be added to the price Now I'm the proud owner of a custom modded v3.5 diver with great AR, an ETA 2824 and a FC ceramic bezel. I wasn't sure if I really like the look since I really love the look of the diver with its steel bezel and I have to say it gives the diver a totally different look over all. I love it The passion started once the trade was done and since then I'm on the hunt for straps (bought a nice black croc Donerix which should be on its way), buckles (bought a heroic 18 which is on its way) and especially a bracelet which a very honourable member here is already trying to source for me ...you know who you are Nuff said...pix
  15. 18mm AP buckles for a few dollars at the bay?? Gimme link mate
  16. Ja...that's just what I thought I asked several TDs and all told me the same...there is no stock for bracelets at all at this moment and they don't know when they will be able to source some
  17. I just got myself a nice AP Diver (received it this morning) and am on the hunt for a bracelet since a few days. I realized that it's almost impossible due to the fact that the producer moved to another country and isn't back in business yet. However...I found a bracelet on the bay and according to the price I thought it must be a used gen...but it isn't... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stainless-Steel-Bracelet-Links-Strap-to-fit-Audemars-Piguet-Royal-Oak-Offshore-/161228372786?pt=UK_Jewelery_Watches_Watches_MensWatches_GL&hash=item2589f5bb32 A company located in UK that is selling fake AP parts via ebay at ridiculous prices.... What you say...scam? Worth it? I feel like "stay away" but on the other hand I really want to have a bracelet for my diver
