  1. I keep reading on this site and RepGeek about the cartels but I am unsure what is meant by this. Can someone shed some light for me.

    cheers

A group of dealers originally consisting of Andrew, Angus, Joshua and King. They had the market on all the best watches from the factory. I don't think this quartet exists any more as a group, but of course, they each still deal individually, and Andrew and Joshua have a particularly close business relationship :)

  2. is it just me or does the miunte hand and seamaster font look too red? everything else looks amazing!

If the color of the hand and font are supposed to look like this:

Then yes, they are completely the wrong color. I would not say that the hand looked 'too red', or any other shade of orangey-red, I would simply say it was red... As with everything in the rep world, one fault corrected, one fault created...

  3. Which version is it? The newest one with Voiceover has a method for selecting the playlist, but I will have to consult my manual.

I believe it's a version 2, about an inch square with a round control interface, it doesn't have voiceover.

I have a first Gen Shuffle "Pack of Gum" version. Mine plays in the correct order -or- randomly based on switch position.

Your problem could be caused by an error in the "Playlist you are filling from". (Caused by the shuffle button in iTunes -or- by sorting the playlist previously.)

    Try this:

    1.) Make a new playlist.

2.) MAKE SURE "SHUFFLE" icon is OFF in iTunes

3.) Drag the songs you want over - IN THE ORDER YOU WANT THEM

4.) Make sure NOT to "Sort" the playlist at any time.

5.) FILL iPod "FROM NEW PLAYLIST

Thanks for the tips, I'll give that a try tomorrow when I'm back on that PC :) It doesn't seem to be shuffling the tracks randomly, just alphabetizing them by artist, which is nice to have some stuff grouped by artist, but it's also nice to be able to arrange the playlist for flow of tunes :)

  4. Hope you're feeling better soon, I had such a bad toothache a while back, that the root canal was a relief :bangin:

For prior pain relief (that's a joke) I was taking Syndol, which the net describes as:

Mild to moderate pain such as headache, including muscle-contraction or tension headache, migraine, neuralgia, toothache, sore throat, dysmenorrhoea, muscular and rheumatic aches and pains and following surgical or dental procedures.

    Tablet containing:

    Doxylamine succinate 5mg

    Codeine phosphate 10mg

    Caffeine 30mg

    Paracetamol 450mg

    Dosage:

Adults: 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours as needed.

Maximum 8 tablets in 24 hours.

    Children: not recommended.

I was taking 3 tablets ever 2 hours to keep the pain bearable :whistling: I knew my body couldn't handle that much chemical abuse for long, so I booked in at the dentist. As soon as the tooth was drilled, the pain was gone. That is until I started to get the withdrawal from the Syndols... I was well and truly :animal_rooster: :animal_rooster: like a smackhead, and got the shakes so bad, I couldn't hold a pen to draw  After about 48 hours, I was okay...

  5. No way. I've only seen crap on Canal Street. Usually way lighter and obviously flimsy. the majority of replicas are chrome, these are stainless steel.

I don't claim to be an expert, but I've had replicas before, and these are the nicest I've had. Bali has 4 types of watches; cheap, Canal Street like ones, heavy chrome ones sold in retain chains, stainless steel ones (what I got) and they had what they claimed were swiss movement.

I honestly think people assume you need to spend a few hundred for something nice so they are discounting these based on what I've paid. I've paid more in the past and gotten much less.

You're not wrong there. I've purchassed many budget watches in the past few years, and I've always found their quality to be more than satisfactory :good:

  6. thanks - that's mine. It looks better in person.

I can't comment on how well it's replicated, but 'as a watch', I think it looks great :)

That's a BCE but I am afraid not a very good replication. For $85 I suppose it's pretty good for testing out the model but there are much better available from our trusted dealers, although at a cost. Interesting to see what else is out there in any case.

It's fun to see what's on markets abroad, as they often have some interesting fantasy models :) Not always to everyone's taste, but always interesting to see :)
