  1. Hey, yeah, I plan on tearing it down and rebuilding there. The land has been owned for a while in my family and I would hate to give it up. And, even if I wouldn't take it down, I would most likely get threats from neighbors since it is a nice neighborhood and it is now a detraction.

Here's hoping for a smooth re-build :drinks: If you'd be open to some floor-plans for your crew to work to, give a shout :)

  2. I've decided to start suplementing my income from graphics work by doing 'taster sessions' of graphology at mind/body/spirit fairs, hopefully that might bring in some extra pocket money :bangin:

I'm also going to train as a tattoo artist, but I want to specialize in 'Thai/bamboo'-style tattooing :victory:

  3. Turning Japanese today...

What with the shorts, a dyed gi as a jacket, the geishin bands and sandles, I wound up going out looking like this dude (without meaning to :pardon: )

I felt it was time to stop dressing like the drones, and wear what felt comfortable, didn't intend to be going out 'in costume', but oh well, I didn't get too hot, and the gi/jacket (might have to get some more :whistling: ) did a good job of stopping the wind being too cold :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  4. Sixty eight weeks??? :yuk:

What're they going to be doing in that time? Surely it can't be an issue of parts availability, hell, they could make replacement parts and fit them quicker than that :bangin: :bangin: :bangin:

You know how car dealerships will sometimes issue a 'courtesy car' while yours is in the shop? I hope Patek will operate under a similar principle for that guy's watch :pardon:

  5. Taken a few years back at the beach in Aguillas, Spain. To all who say not to get reps wet: :bangin::victory:

I miss this one, I really ought to get a replacement...

This one was purchased for a planned auction for my best friend/brother's stag night (auction never took place, so I wound up retaining the watch :whistling: )

  6. Oohhh kaaayyyyy.....

Nipped out to buy a small metal file. All i could find was 14cm in triangular, which I think may serve. Plus some 1.5 grade (medium coarseness) metal sandpaper.

So later I'll be having at it as were.....we'll see. Still not sure how to balance pressure and ensure it's flat.

How about the pearl re. original thread?

The gen has pure white or milky white with touch of blue/green? Gen pics I've found show both !!

Only thing I can suggest would be to use some double-sided tape to fix the paper to a table top, and use some more tape to fix the 'marker side' of the insert to something else flat, like an audio cassette case (or similar size) to use as a sanding block... Best of luck with it :victory:

  7. First of all, don't worry about accuracy to gen for two reasons. 1) You're not going to get it 'out of the box' without dropping some serious coin in modifying the watch with gen parts, and 2) Out in the real world, no one is even going to notice what you're wearing, so there's no danger of being called out...

Bearing that in mind, I would suggest these three watches:

    Omega Planet Ocean (42mm)

Rolex GMT Master II (Black and Red bezel insert)

Rolex DateJust (bracelet/bezel/dial variation of your choice)

IMHO, those're three of the best watches for 'every day' scenarios :victory::drinks:
