No problem, I'll be keen to see what the dimensions are and how things might line up Still can't access Cousins, and I'm not sure if I want to risk the wrath of Otto Frei by ordering something from him
No worries If I can get the dimensions for the pinion, I can compare them to the dial, and based on that, try and order a movement If it doesn't fit for me, I'm sure someone else would be able to make use of it
It does, and I know what you mean, it's certainly been an eventful one Just got back from dinner, and that was quite good A little over-hyped, but not bad, and a nice relaxed meal
It is indeed, brother Do you think it seems longer? The year has absolutely flown past for me Thanks, it's been a great day so far, and we're going out in a while for a meal in a Mexican restaurant which is quite popular locally, but I've never been to, so I'm keen to see if it lives up to the reputation
The center hole looks to be bang on 2mm... A touch of a file should take care of that I'm still having trouble accessing Cousins, but would I be right in thinking they'd sell the correct handsets for the movements as well?
The center hole shouldn't be a problem, I've enlarged the center holes on Sub dials to cram the dial over GMT movements before (although I didn't broach the subdials) Thanks for the feedback though
That'd be awesome, as I can then compare dimensions with mine I know the dial's less than pristine, but it's really taken my fancy (especially after I lumed the markers ) so I'd really like to try and use it in the project Since the above pic was taken, I re-enameled the bezel scale, and overall, I think it's looking pretty sharp on its new strap
Thanks for the information, that's reassuring to know, as Project Daytona has the seconds @ 9 subdial, and I figured if I was going to build a wearable Daytona using that dial, I might as well have one with working chrono features, rather than day/date/24 hour, simply because it had the correct detailing on the sub-dials (I'd be quite happy with the d/d/24 movement, providing the subdials reflected those measurements )
Would a standard a7750 from Cousins have seconds @9? I tried registering with them to check out the movements, but for some reason, trying to log in just crashes my browser
If I remember, it was something more like Judge Judy, and I think the guy tried to use a rep to pay a debt, but I'm a bit fuzzy on the details. The thing I thought was nice, was although the expert explained that it was a rep, he didn't just say "This is worthless..." he did acknowledge that it did have some (although not much ) financial value
I thought it was funny how he said the rep was worth absolutely nothing. I remember another clip someone posted, where the court's appointed expert at least acknowledged that the fake was worth about $50
Awesome find though, thanks for sharing
Today's my first wedding anniversary, muchachos
In honor of this, I'm wearing the watch my bro Sixx generously gave me as wedding present
As the first year is traditionally a paper gift, this is what I made for Emily...
In town, I treated Project Daytona to some new shoes, all it needs now, is a Rolex buckle
Have a great day, my brothers
