  1. Hey guys, as a father of several ;).... (More than a few)....

i know what my buddy Ogladio is going through...

i volunteer to head up the coordination of the PVD run to get this moving.  I will get with Rolli and Ogladio to get all of the necessary information and list of those members who are interested

but in the mean time, feel free to PM me!

  2. Any opinions on the best Pre-A parts? case set, crown, cg? I've been out of it for a long time but I'm thinking about one last Pre-A 009.

Only considering readily available parts -

Case set: H Factory V1 or KW is the best.  Either version has a more correct lugshape for the 6502 than the noob.

Crown/Tube: DSN Pre-V, is the absolute best besides gen.  It has gotten even better recently with a improved level of surface finish and polish.

CG: Sead is a direct fit to H factory cases.  but Fu, Eddie Lee or Honpo modded with a Sead lever are the best ever made.

Crystal: DSN new high grade crystal, almost gen like clarity

Caseback: certain versions of DSN have the most accurate engravings available, even better than Jakob.

  3. I'm not so sure this is a fake. The watch looks genuine to me including the dial, movement, caseback, crown, crown guard. It could very well be that this watch was sent in for service with a heavily damaged case, which would have been replaced with a service case with no serial number. Additionally, there are a few examples of L SWISS L PAM036 floating around out there.

Now... The fiddy certificate???? Hmmm not so sure about why that is being paired up with this package.

  4. Thanks, one of my best. Much more hand made than Rolli/FGD

Please Southy!!!! One more run of these "museum pieces". My 203/A museum grade dial has a special place among my collection. I'd love the opportunity to have one of two more.

The indices.... A work of art

    Here's the gen. Amazing!!!!

  5. I don't understand why they make beautiful box with gross errors like two screws on the bottom hinge instead of one on gen (seen 2 meters it's fake).

    Too bad.

Agreed. Don't wast your time with a rep box.

If you enjoy the style of the gen box, get on the gen forums and wait until one comes up for sale.

  6. Well said FGD and Kilo.

As a Franken builder and modder I am always seeking things to make my watches special. To take them to the next level. And the Rolli/FGD dials more than suceed in that mission.

I have a tremendous amount of reverence and repect for the amount of time and MONEY that's invested by R and S in these projects. If you feel the need to troll or poke the bear keep that in mind. How would you feel if you had just invested tens of thousands of Euro and years developing contacts to produce these gorgeous dials... Probably a little defensive.

Let's keep it positive (on both sides) and have a little respect for the effort invested.

  7. V, my friend, I know the dial I quoted above is an 005 dial. But it is indicative of the early 2000s era Panerai dials that had thicker indicies. The more recent versions are definitely thinner and more uniform.

Case in point on the dial Abba posted.

Is Rollis dial thicker than the gen of that era? It appears so, but I can get by that because I know the quality of Rolli and FGDs efforts. They are truly every bit as high quality as a genuine dial. I have held many.

We've gotta keep in mind these aren't some back door, [censored], dime-a-dozen rep dials. These are the result of an extreme commitment of time and resources on behalf of a few very motivated collectors. They have succeeded in producing a dial on par in quality and standards with the genuine dials. For serious collectors and builders, this should be celebrated.

Those that can discern the value will buy and enjoy, those that can't wont. Congrats to Rolli and FGD. Once again beautiful work. Looking forward to many more projects to come. (Especially a 1A or 22b hint;) )

  8. mate, I'm not a newbie... you can find me on RWI and RG

You used a flawful Noob 000 dial to make your dial, not a gen... sorry

Here to compare with a gen 000 dial

Interesting... What I see here in these pictures is different gen dials, with different thickness of font, numbers and indexes, no doubt from different years of production. The pictures you show prove Rolli's and FGD's point. Thanks for sharing them.

  9. Wow that looks awesome! Oh and what is the name and maker of the strap? That combo is a killer!

That looks like a Dirk Tan or Cognac. One of the best straps ever. Buttery soft, gorgeous leather.

As far as the dial.... Wow, you might as well be holding a gen. For those of us without easy access to genuine dials, Rolli has given a gift, worth every penny.

  10. I guess this 111J V2 model have been sold out.

For cases that are still pretty easy to find... I have to say that the NOOB N Series V3 is the best. I honestly think the 111M is the best option I have ever seen based on the sample that I reahaped for my 201/A build. The lugs were perfect straight out of the box with no modification
