Where is the DISLIKE button?! Haha, no worries... I just ordered all three dials from Toro! Haha I couldn't make up my mind! Ahh... So in a few weeks there will be at least one C&R SOSFs on the boards, lol.
I just have a four watch winder... It was to help keep my buying down. It didn't work. Although I did sell off a lot of the expensive frankens I have and will only have two expensive frankens ($1k) and the rest will be sub $300s.
I have seen a few dial variations of the white/creme dial. Some whiter and others more gen like with the creme color. Thats been a reason I have watched it from the sidelines. Although I can say I have never seen any SOSF in the streets. And I live in airports because of work and I see swiss watches as if they were Timex at Wal-Mart
What are your watch dial preferences? This question has come to mind while I've spent the past few days deciding what color SOSF v2 dial to get... The AR on some watches really manipulates the dial color. For example the black dial SOSF looking blueish in various angles.
So what dial color dominates your watch collection? I am going to use the poll results to help me decide my dial dilemma! Haha, thanks!
...oh and my collection is dominated by black... everyone knows the saying, you just don't go back!
To properly rep any ceramic gens you need the gen ceramic... I already commented on this thread but I keep coming back because it reminds me of the TT i just sold. The insert makes the watch. Again, nice watch!
Not sure if you have a bracelet or not but there is a BP watch that you can buy that has the bracelet mid-links and SEL plated gold. PM me if you're interested in the details. I wont threadjack anymore
Thanks guys. I have taken everyone suggestions and have decided to buy... Ha kidding. I told the seller I'd pass. I will wait for a more established member to post something up for sale. I am in no real rush. For now I can work with the rep! So if anyone has a h-fact v2 blue/black dial for sale...
So yeah, I understand that much. I looked up his ebay account and requested a message from the account. Its an account thats been around for a while and has only positive feedback. Obviously not being a watch dealer means he does not have previous watch sales. According to him the watch was purchased from a forum dealer on the breitlingsource.com.
This is a forum deal so yes its outside of ebay. He currently does not have the watch listed on ebay.
So I may have found a gen sosf from hawaii that I am interested in purchasing. I know, I am asking a ton of newb Qs... Who has the best sub? Haha
Anyways, I would be paying with paypal. He's sent me a ton of pictures at my request with very specific asks so I have no doubt the watch is legit. I'll try and post one here so someone else can comment. So he's sent me pictures of a gen and lets say what I receive is a H Factory rep, lol, what protection do I have? Would it be as simple as opening a PP dispute to get my money back? Allegedly, this watch has box and all paperwork.
EDIT: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/fs-breitling-superocean-steelfish-927058.html
How many versions of the SOSF v2 are there? So I see that a few TDs have the SOSF asian movements for ~$210 and the "swiss" movements for ~$260. What is confusing me is that some of the TDs also have another "Swiss" ETA 2836 for ~$415? What gives? Is this just some serious margins or is there really some differences that would justify the price hike...
So I think I'm going to buy a GEN Breitling Superocean Steelfish with blue or black dial. I had planned to buy a GEN TT Rolex but for now I'm going to hold off. Need to really figure out which one before I commit that much money. Anyways... Are you guys turning to the Bay? Forums? AD? Or whatever comes up?
I disagree. I think a divers watch can easily be used as a sporty dress watch. The suit can dress up a watch just as easily as a pair or shorts and a polo can dress the watch down. This of course is my personal opinion
That is not only a rep but a terrible rep of the 16613...
Insert, crown, crown guard, DWO font, dial font, cornet, SEL fitment, etc... You get the picture... Bad rep.
