  1. Excellent news on the lume - good job! Form an orderly queue please ladies and gentlemen!
  2. That's the one I have - new 7750 28800 bph - like I say mine works fine in normal time keeping mode. The chrono runs fine something like 80% of the time, but will just stop randomly - I think it's because there's not enough power to drive it but there's others on here who are more qualified than me to comment on why this happens! So as not to stress the movement, I don't use the chrono much and it keeps perfect time day to day. Looks superb too - very accurate rep. Maybe just luck of the draw? Hilts.
  3. Brilliant! Sums up my dog perfectly.
  4. I agree - pretty sad - with guys acting like that, is it any wonder people are pretty pi$$ed off with the military presence.
  5. Looks superb - good job! Good to hear as well that Swiss 7750 version available. Had another look at the gen at local AD this morning. General points. As previously mentioned, the colours need to be spot on - the dial needs to be a really deep blue and I think you've got that 99.9% spot on - don't be misled by the IWC website - the dial is not the bright blue colour it appears on there. White needs to be bright and clear - hard to tell from the pics above but looks pretty close. The lettering on your dial looks OK too - not too bold. The lettering on the 2 inner bezels does need to be bold and also really bright. Sharpness is critical - the lettering on the gen is razor sharp. Specific points The 2 markers at 12 are not aligned properly. The markers at 3, 6 & 9 look narrow - hard to tell. On the gen, all the hour markers are the same width, some are longer than others but all same width but yours look narrower. Grooving needed on subdials at previously mentioned. Would like to see the bezels when ready. Also, what about the lume? As mentioned on some other posts here and on RWG, lume will be important - the gen is loaded with lume and this hopefully will be too. Keep up the good work - watching this with interest!! Thanks Hilts.
  6. Yeah - got a new strap (black buffalo) for my gen Big Pilot (which is a 2005 model which came with the brown/white strap) - £270!
  7. No - This is 42mm, Cousteau is 44mm. Standard Aquatimer is 42mm, apart from the Split Minute Chrono which, at 44mm and 16.3mm thick, is a monster watch.
  8. Got one from TT - one of the best/closest looking reps I own (out of 14) - feels good on the wrist. Movement keeps perfect time although the chrono seems to be less reliable so i don't use it much if at all. The secs at 6 runs OK. Guess I'm lucky!!
  9. Re Price - I tried on gen at dealers - £3450 GBP here. Watching closely to see when this is coming out - I got my funds squared away to buy!
  10. This would be awesome with correct lume - such an important part of the whole experience for these watches. Played with the gen in local dealer (no 600/2500) - retail £3450 here - amazing watch. Looks unique on the wrist believe me. And I usually wear a gen Big Pilot so I'm used to BIG/unusual watches! With a Swiss movement and good lume, I'd pay big bucks for one of these. Hilts
  11. Hi all Been on Replica Collector for a while now - keen collector of gens and reps - look forward to getting some more great pieces and info from you guys! Hilts
