  1. Some chat here http://www.rwg.cc/members/Portuguese-Chrono-t20799.html
  2. With missing/squint markers it's worth feck all!! That puts it into the realms of the crappy BP $98 copies. Without superlume it's just a half decent rep. If the recent IWC Pilot Chrono from EL has half decent lume (which it does - I have one - see pic) then there's no reason I can see that the Cousteau doesn't have it.
  3. Wow - this is shaping up really well - tasty !! Biggest 2 issues for me are the minute markers and the lume. If these were sorted I could live with the less obvious things like the position of the numbers on the inner bezel or the boldness of the orange writing as these are only spottable side-by-side with the gen whereas wonky/missing markers and no lume are obvious a mile away! Can't wait to get my name on a Swiss 7750 version if these minor points are dealt with. A frustrating couple of weeks waiting for the final version, and of course the prices!!! Hilts
  4. Bidding has ended! Someone paid
  5. What is this guy playing at?!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/IWC-Pilots-Automatic...1QQcmdZViewItem
  6. Unless people have been living in caves for the last week, we've all noticed/experienced the problems with EL's Pilot Chrono (although I'm the first to say I love mine!) As I see it, there are 3 main things at all potential purchasers are desperately keen to get answers on, or see tackled: 1. Day alignment - we know this is a well known problem, but please please can we get this right? 2. Lume - Angus's last post mentioned that he had some Lume from somewhere - can we get a defintive answer on this? 3. As we can see in the gen photos above, especially the last one, AR is a must on a watch of this size. Again we need to know what we're going to get here. I'm sure Angus is paying attention to our humble requests! Hilts
  7. Hehe - so the jury's back in and the verdict is unanimous - it's a winner!!! A week on the wrist now - no probs at all apart from the crooked day - movement itself seems fine - so far! Wear it well Chad! Hilts
  8. I agree with all the others who have got this watch - it is simply superb - there are minor niggles but overall it is superb. Still can't wait for the Cousteau though!! Hilts
  9. Wow - like I said - this is the best rep (out of the box anyway) that I've seen - I'm delighted with mine!! Wear it well!! Hilts
  10. Just a bump to get this thread back on top - Pilot chat is so yesterday. So come on Angus - what updated shots have you for us?? Hilts
  11. Cousteau Cousteau! Come on Angus - raise your game!!
  12. I wanted the croc to match my Big Pilot and will be getting a better one soon (or OEM but the price is daft). Eddie also sending me the SS for a change when I feel like it. AR - is there believe me - my pics don't show it up but it is nowhere near in the same league as my BP gen. However, compared to the Rolex SD (gen) it is noticeable as Rolex don't use AR. On the day - I agree that it is annoying but hey - if it's perfection you need then a gen is the only way to go! This is the only fault I can pick up and I'm sure someone like The Zigmeister could sort it when he gets his hands on one. Maybe mine's a bad un - we'll see when you guys get yours. Out of the box, it's the best I've seen without any work. Believe me, when it arrives I think you'll be delighted. Hilts
  13. Well here's some pics - not the greatest but OK. First impressions are excellent. Only thing I've been able to pick up on is the day is slightly misaligned in the window. Also the strap is not great but new one odered soon methinks! Lume is good too! Apart from that, absolutely first class - easily the best rep I own. (Although hoping for a modded RBJ soon!!) Some pics here side by side with Big Pilot (gen) and Fiddy (not gen!) to give you idea of size. Can't wait for the Cousteau now!! Thanks EL Hilts
  14. Enough BS - here's how good a dealer EL is. I paypa1 money to him - his account gets shut down - he refunds the money to me NO PROBLEM. I await action on this thread to see the photos of watches when they arrive. This morning my doorbell rings and I am now wearing my watch on my wrist. At the same time, my inbox pings and a polite note arrives from EL saying hope you're enjoying your new watch, would you mind sending me some money if it's not too much trouble! This guy sent me the watch AND I HAVEN'T EVEN PAID HIM YET! How good is that!? I have been collecting for a while but have never dealt with EL before. Needless to say I have WU the money to him this morning and will be buying again. EL - you da man!! Hilts PS Pics to follow - watch is a beaut.
  15. Me too! Don't know why - nothing constructive on it at all!! Hilts
  16. Soooo - has anyone actually got a watch yet?? Hilts
  17. mmm - seems harsh - my paypa1 refund came back no probs - money back in my account. I'm paying him today by another method - we'll see what next week brings. I admit, I have no watch either, but I've no reason to suspect that Eddie is not playing fair. Hilts
  18. Noticed that the "Members Online" section shows Google.com; MSN.com; Yahoo.com and Google Adsense among others. Interesting as dealer told me that paypa1 are scouring the boards looking for transactions and freezing accounts. So careful in your posting.
  19. My dealer's paypa1 was shutdown mid order!! So I'm waiting for the refund to come through - hopefully! Then I'm back in to buy. Won't be beaten by the paypa1 nasties! Hilts
  20. Fed up today - 30 emails from my boss!
  21. Shall do - was sent on Monday so I will hopefully get late this week, early next. Hilts
  22. I've ordered one! Can't wait............... Hilts
