  1. Angus, will these mods be made on the 112/176/177 models?

I am not sure about the ti version because I dont know if the thick crown on PAM036 will fit the current PAM177 case, if yes, then PAM177 is done.

But there are still other factors... really have to try...

  2. Some members asked me how to distinguish from Asian UNITAS from Swiss UNITAS movement, I have a simple method to do this by only look at the Swan Neck, here are 3 pics to illustrate it:

    1. This is the famous China Made Swan Neck UNITAS-6497 movement at 17,800 vph with ETA Stamp on the movement. We usually call this the "ETA Clone UNITAS".

    2. This is the nice China Made Swan Neck UNITAS-6497 movement at 21,600 vph without the ETA Stamp on t he movement, we usually call this the Chinese UNITAS. This one has the same frequency as the genuine UNITAS-6497-2 movement on the gen Panerai watches.

    3. This is the genuine Swiss Made (decorated bridge made in China) Swan Neck UNITA-6497 movement at 17,800 vph with the ETA Stamp (of course it does) on the movement, we usually call it the Swiss UNITAS movement.

I am just a newbie to this, please let me know if I am wrong.

  3. I just asked him whether the pictures are of the Swiss movement or Asian movement. Reason being the dagger swan neck shock system used is the novadiac instead of incabloc. DSN uses the novadiac on all his "swiss" movements so would like to check on this.

Other than that, to nitpick, the pin in the CG doesn't look completely flush and appears a tad rounded. The lever looks a tad too small and the CDG engraving a tad too thick. :D

Regarding if this Swiss or Asian, honestly I dont know how to distinguish from Swiss from Asian, you guys know better than I do, but the factory makes this movement (actually they makes the bridges and screws only) has only Swiss movement and Asian movement and they dont have the ETA Clone movement (although the Asian is an ETA-clone but they dont print "ETA" on their clone movement). The movement is from one of our biggest replica factory (makes the ultimate SD and most of our panerai) so I believe they can be trusted --> it is a Swiss movement.

And as I am not familiar with the gen so I will leave other judgements to you.

  4. Could anybody give me Angus' website address?

    PureTime Watches International

    Our Web-Store (almost done!):

    http://www.puretimestore.com

    Online Watch Gallary:

    http://s16.photobucket.com/albums/b14/puretime/

    LOL. To support your conspiracy:

PureTime (big business lol) knew nothing about the 'other' SD in the making. :D

Actually I am also interested in the King's SD, as I know from the biggest factories, there is no one making a SD, I am not sure about the smaller factories. And even yes I dont see they are smart enought to replicate an old version SD (with lug holes), as I know if the case is for the original Rolex movement, it will not be able to install ETA movements (but I dont know if the case is modded).

I just contacted the ultimate SD maker and he said he does not have a newer SD in production and he will give me the original SD for taking some side by side comparison pics.

  5. The PAM111E I am offering has not superlume but very good one, upgrading is part of the pleasure of collecting reps, when you get tired of the decent weak lume and you can just get a superlumed dial and hands and upgrade it by yourself (change the dial) or let one of our experts to do that.

PAM111H has been released for quite a while and PAM111E will be less and less, as I can see this PAM111E is qiute good in all aspects so it is still a good rep to collect, that is why you see me offering this replica, this PAM111E need me to take case from factory A, dial from factory B, movement from factory C and assemble and mod the watch (thick crown and cannon pin) at a watch smith.

If you dont like the PAM111E, I can also provide PAM111H with thick crown, too, some of you may have already known I can provide superlumed PAM111H thus here we have a quite 'perfect' PAM111H, it is not good to talk about price here and please feel free to contact me if you are interested.

My e-mail is puretime2005@gmail.com, PM is also fine.

  6. It's interesting that he's sourcing MBW's, is it not?

Thought it would be hard for a china based dealer to access the taiwanese reps.

No it is not MBW, I dont have a chance to do a comparison but it really feels very nice. When I have access to the MBW Nautilus and I will make a side by side comparison.

And it was not a hard thing for me to get the Taiwanese reps, but for some watches which is dominated by MBW and I cannot get easily.

I have got the TW Best Subs, TW Best SDs and also the ladies Yacht-Masters, they are pretty good ones from TW.

  7. Dear Angus, I have a suggestion, the normal rotors for 7750 movements are made of two parts putted together, one inside, that in the hublot is the black part, one is the outside that I think it is the same on the normal 7750 rotor and on the Hublot one.

So you can take the normal rotors, make engrave the Hublot geneve writings and than you can change the outer part of the hbb rotor with the outer engraved part. What do you thing about this?

Do you know a factory that can engrave?

The problem is we cannot find any spare rotors... to do the engraving.

    These things have a warranty?

Of course, the movement factory makes movement for many Chinese Brand watches, the HBB maker just order movement from the movement factory, there is nothing to do with replica, like if my customer orders from me, I will offer warranty to my customers.

  8. Angus you told me that you will advice the make to engrave the materials on the caseback..but for this new version..still havent change.. why ?

The maker refuses to do it because all movement with rotor engraved will loss warranty from the movement factory, that is why the Chopard and the upcoming IWC will also have stickers on the movement, if I can source some rotors then I can do the engraving but it is almost impossible to source for the rotors.

  9. Unfortunately you re right. The surround on the piece of wood should be sapphire - not plastic. Here is an interesting article:

    http://www.thewatchquote.com/IWC-Aquatimer...ers-No_5678.htm

Does the pusher at 4 o'clock double as chrono reset and inner bezel adjuster as it does on the gen?

The back crystal is not plastic (not sapphire as well), and yes the 4 o'clock pusher is both chrono reseter and inner bezel adjuster.

Will ask the maker about the material of the back crystal today.

  10. Andrew's correct and it was not us to set the price high but the maker, I think some of you here may still remember I asked for price difference when the HBB is released. I thought the cost of the HBB is a bit more expensive than other Asian 7750 watches. I marked the pre-order price US$318 but finally the price was almost 50% more than I expected and that was why I asked for US$100 more from those who have paid in the pre-order.

If we are taking like 50% of the total production in ONE purchase, we may press the price down a bit but we can only take up to about 20% of the total production in about half a year and we have really nothing to do with the price, I have been talking to the watch maker about the price thing and hope he can reduce his profit and we can buy the reps in lower price.

  11. No worries guys, I have talked to the maker and everything is reported to him (I will talk to him again tomorrow about the new flaws found), unless there is something cannot be changed anymore, I will not allow the maker to release it before all fixable flaws are fixed.

Pay attention to my dealer section these 2 days, I got new toys for you

I will let you guys know what exactly will be improved in 2 days (it takes time to talk to the maker and sometimes I have to argue with him :-P)

  12. Thank you all for your input on this watch, I post here because I want you to tell me the flaws and I can report to the watch maker about it.

Please and really please send an e-mail to puertime2005@gmail.com if you like this watch and you want this watch to be a good one when you find any flaws.

All existing flaws will be reported to the watch maker, I will try my every effort to encourage him to correct them, as you know some things we cannot change already.

    1. The date font should be very close to the original. I think this need no change?

    2. The lume on the inner bezel will be improved, this is the only semi-product and the lume was damaged by touching it.

    3. Crown engraving cannot be changed, I think it is good enough?

    4. rubber strap will be the same as genuine

    5. Caseback font is a bit off, will tell him to change.

    6. The wood is REAL wood, every piece is different, and there is a plastic cover above it.

    7. We copied from the genuine, there wont be any silly mistakes but please understand sometimes the watch maker does not notice the font.

I will be metting him today, will tell him about everything you mentioned. I would really appreciate it if you can report the flaws directly to my e-mail so I can call him directly.

Thank you all for your help, without you there will not be a perfect IWC Cousteau Divers.

    Angus
