  1. Buy from the 'Trusted' dealers int his forum. Stay away from dealers with bad after sales service....check their feedback.

Anyway, I was interested in getting the calibre too but there are NO 1:1 available. The position of the seconds hand register is located below the center instead of overlap.

That youtube video is a rep.....what is that sticker doing on top of the crystal.

The gens have the circumference of the seconds register bisect the center of the watch.

  2. They can't even make a 1:1 Moonwatch which is hand wound and unchanged for decades and you suggest this? :nono:

Sorry mate, there is a long list of 1:1 reps which need to be made (Moonwatch, Daytonas and other Rolexes, a decent Patek or VC dresswatch etc)

So get to the back of the cue ;)

And now perhaps even more reason to do it :)...i mean they can and have to keep the interest going or the whole rep thing will get stale.

  3. @ Phil...thanks for the suggestion..I will most definitely give it a try.

@ EE..JPG Is a classic without question...has been around since 1995...and still going strong today. :)

I read somewhere resently that JPG is the number one male fragance In EU.

It was purely by chance or accidental that I found JPG....was walking through a department store and was handed a sample as I was passing by....put it in my pocket. When I curiously opened it at home it was like WOW.

  4. thanks for the info on the Breguet...gorgeous...

have always been fond of the Lange 1 design...

    and seriously on the VCO...

a simply amazing grouping of watches...if this is representation of your 200 watch collection, you simply have to post a thread in the collections forum...a sincere thanks for sharing...nice to see these pieces in the wild...

    R-

What an amazing collection indeed. I can also see the sillouette of what looks like a Cartier Santos....seriously, would like to see more of your collection...there's a photography/mycollection section in this forum :)

  5. Im sure some of these 'houses' have started looking at getting their movements and parts in China.....getting it there would allow them to keep the price high and their margins higher. The good thing that can come out of this is that the factory may be forced to improve their quality...you know like move the factory away from the wool, lint and dust factories :) and that could only be good for reps.

  6. The onus is on the seller to provide authenticity or don't bother saying that it is when it can't be proven specially with a high value item. If it really is authentic then the cost of getting it is well worth the increase in price that it will command. So you did the right thing and saved yourself the headache.
