  1. This is actually old news. They have been trying to get out of supplying ebauches (actually money losing venture) and parts to competitors for 3-4 years. The initial request to the Swiss authorities was made in 2007 or so and they were given a 4-5 year ramp down schedule so now it is 2011-2012, All of the better watch companies which were ETA based have been developing in-house movements (Panerai, Breitling, Hublot, etc.). The lower end companies will move to Chinese or other Asian country movements. The slow down in supplying movements and parts has already spawned at least one new Swiss manufacturer and numerous Chinese movement companies making better movements. We are already seeing more reliable tourbillons and micro rotor movements coming out of China. At some point Switzerland will wake up and be out innovated.

My thoughts exactly. The gap in the market will be filled likely chinese manufacturers....they have been making copies of eta movemments for years now and were the 'test' market :) I would not be surprised one day to find a swiss branded watch with A7750 in it!

  2. Found it....no pics but description from Basel 2009.

"The 42 mm case has been crafted in resilient stainless steel and features distinct triangular

incisions on the bezel. The easy to manipulate round headed chronograph push buttons, the

crown and the entire circumference of the deep case have been embellished with black

“Clous de Paris” patterned rubber giving the timepiece a contemporary twist. The date

setting function, embedded at X o’clock, is activated by means of a corrector."

    Case closed :)

  3. I asked trusty when the A7753 came out if there is possibility of making a Legende with this movement............and the answer was NO. Its one of the best Breitling rep out there but with a sunken date window :(

  4. That looks like a tough one...the metal piece broke off and thats going to be difficult to repair. Just a suggestion - can your girlfriend remove the watch with only one clasp undone? If so, you may want to permanently the close the broken side with a superglue....and just use the working clasp to take off and on.

Mine, the cabochon on the crown came off...sucks.

  5. I would not say that the diver is too huge. I am wearing besides my orig 44mm Pam, also the cassic submariner or the daytona and since saturday, after receiving my noob factory AP Diver i have a very good comparison.

So i can say the AP neither feels nor looks too big on small wrists - and i am wearing it on the last hole :victory:

I can show you next week on tuesday or wednesday in munich :thumbsupsmileyanim: in real if you want ;)

You got the pics? I really want to see how it compares.

  6. KB already went the full refund route provided the items are mailed back but still to no avail. The buyer no longer treated this as a business transaction and has gone amok. KB's options would be to try and ask the buyer to send it back one more time with a deadline (if that works). Otherwise, trash the account and start a new one.....just make sure to keep that buyer away from it. Good luck.
