I really don't have any time for a rehash at the moment as I am stepping out the door but i will say that dealers were only let on these forums to satisfy the members want and maybe a policy of rotating dealers may have kept them honest.........I don't know the answer I just know that more and more the people who stumble on our sites now and in the future are going to lump us with the other high price sites and keep on moving. Then the forums stop doing what they were in fact set up for. Ken

So in the end we have an elitism within the rep world similar to that of the gen's. The price of producing and delivering the latest and greatest to us will never again be aligned to dealer costs but only dealer wants. Please I do agree that anyone should be allowed to purchase what he/she wants but if a dealer sells 200 watches in a calendar Month and each and every one of those watches returns to him what the average office worker earns in Gaungzhou each Month I do wonder how much greed is now driving our hobby. And as long as there are still many people like Tom here (and there is) buying these watches are these way over inflated prices they will continue to stay high. I say if people had some sense they would collectively vote with their wallets and refuse to pay these prices, believe me they will soon come down. Ken

A very hard topic indeed, there's no doubting Ubi's twins are incomparable or the quality of Enuo's of Nanuq's collection, then there's the sheer volume of Tangfolio's (I hope I got that right) or Pasil pte's collections. Then again there's some beautiful gens in TTK's and Thomasng's collections or the quality rep's of Richard Lawton. I suppose in the end have to say..... I like mine Ken

I've never had a Pam moment but I have had an Omega one...... Way back after I had only been a part of this community for a few Months I had an BA 21j chrono, so in other words she looked pretty but the chrono's were just for show. Now not to long after owing this watch the bottom pusher fell out and although I tried to source another it was to no avail. So anyway one of the stores (Target dept store) that I visited regularly I was on rather good terms with the main security guard as he also shared a love of watches but mainly Seiko and Citizen and such. So one day near closing time when staff are all walking out, I took my leave and stopped for a chat with the guard at the door and then for the very first time he noticed my watch and he literally called out "Hey this man is wearing an Omega!" and then as a small crowd started to gather to check my watch out he said "Isn't there suppose to be another button thing where that hole is?" Ken
