BP Submariner 114060 ceramic no date (DG2813)
ProMariner replied to ProMariner's topic in The Rolex Area
Here is the QC thread: http://www.rwgforum.net/index.php?/topic/165897-QC-pictures-from-Tony-%28asian7750%2Ecom%29 -
Here is a special piece, introduced at Baselworld in 2012, the very first Submariner ceramic no date version, the 114060 powered by Cal. 3130 Now for the rep, mine is from BP maker, and it is powered by a DG2813 by seagull. I will talk about this movement later in the review. I ordered this watch from Tony, asian7750.com, almost one month ago. I received it yesterday. It has been a long process, well Tony's service is quiet slow but here is not the problem. The thing is that when I received QC pictures, I noticed that the pearl was off centered so I asked Tony if he can change the watch, he told me that he will and when he came back with another QC pictures, it appears that the watch hasn't been changed but the ceramic bezel insert has been swapped with one which is worst than the first. So I asked for another one then he told me that the factory won't accept to change it again. The ceramic bezel insert has been installed and glued twice and it is over glued. The bezel is hard to turn almost impossible because of glue between bezel and sapphire crystal. So not a very good experience with Tony, but I think I will try to buy another watch from him, after all his prices are good. And watches that he has to offer are quiet good quality! Now for the features, as you probably know, BP maker made the best ceramic submariner no date. You have a gen bezel construction (4 springs), good AR, the bezel insert is depth on the markers so not a printed insert, but engraved, the dial is gen like with correct script and printed, everything is aligned, LEC rehaut and markers on the dial. And SEL are perfect the end links fit perfectly between the lugs ! And it is super lumed. The buckle on the bracelet is very poor quality, it came broken, so I added to the bracelet a better one. I am thinking about buying a gen clasp. The bezel insert isn't very well aligned so I will buy one from Andrew (trusty time) and I will clean all the glue to make the bezel turn correctly. I would love to instal a gen bezel insert on it but it is IMPOSSIBLE to find one in ceramic. Rolex controls everything and every aftermarket parts now. And that's pretty much it about the mod that I will do for the moment. Now concerning the movement I choose a DG2813 (21j). Because of reliability, and cost. It is a cheap movement which cost less than 20 bucks and can be easily swapped. Power reserve is good, and it keeps very well time. I don't know if this is f*** luck but mine is pretty accurate I wore the watch 1 entire day and it is at +/-2 sec, the second hand is so smooth. When I saw it first I though I had a 28XX Eta on it until I hear it ticking and I open the case back. Well sometime a DG2813 is better than any other movement because of that. I have been really lucky with those movement. Who has the best sub ? I think the best ceramic sub replica is BP no date. And as I always say : Without the date it is more accurate! Here are the pics:

Date version are pretty inaccurate. (Because of dial printed, mag issue, AR on mag, etc..) Maybe you have in head the noob 114060 which has an awful bezel insert with wrong pearl, also big hour hand and wrong case thickness. SEL non accurate. Anyway the BP 114060 has thin hour hand, correct dial (with OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED spacing) great lume, great bezel insert numerals are actually engraved not printed like noob, and pearl is way better than noob no date. SEL is gen like, and over and above that it has gen construction bezel assemble. So best ceramic sub is BP 114060. I will post a review soon. I received mine yesterday. And I am really impressed !

BP Maker is a factory based in China which makes rep. According to me the BP submariner ceramic no date is the best rep out of the box

I brought the watch first to a high watchmaker in the city which is known for his great job and he told me that he doesn't accept rep and rep movement and gave me a lesson about rep, I felt so bad lol. He also showed me a beautiful and iconic piece in his wrist a Gyro tourbillion from Jeager Lecoultre. I was like O_O OMG. Anyway I brought the watch to another watchmaker that told he doesn't give a damn about repairing rep or gen lol but he wasn't passionated by his work like the first watchmaker. Anyway Tuesday I will see him and he will tell me the price for changing the balance wheel and service, regulate and adjustment..

Do not remove the bezel assemble without proper tools ! If you only have to change the bezel ceramic insert, then remove the pearl, put a toothpick into the pearl hole on the ceramic insert, then pull it off. When it has been removed then you can clean the bezel with removing the glue. Apply on the bezel in the distal part from the sapphire crystal, hypo glue cement, then you can put the new insert on the bezel, make sure everything is dry and clean. If you want to change the bezel assemble, them you will need proper tools, it is a little bit complicated. Take a look at this:

No I didn't buy the part yet. I already removed the bracelet, tomorrow I am going to the watchmaker. I hope the repair won't be pricy. The balance wheel can be replace in situ ? Without removing all parts of mechanism ?

ProMariner replied to Erict719's topic in The Rolex Area
Here is the picture of the N serie Here is the picture of M serie mark II and III has the same same (2008) Here is the picture of Z serie: So I think since 1986 when the 16610 has been introduced, it exist some variation of logo on the crown as on the dial like we know -
What kind of movement do you have ? If it is a DG2813 , (generic 21j) so you don't have to go to any watchmaker. This movement is cheap and can be replaced easily, all you have to do is remove the stem, and the hands, just make sure to buy the same movement and the hand + dial will fit perfectly ! If it is an ETA clone as I have, take look at Rep Geek, there's Mark alias Rex a good watchmaker but in this U.S. I have the same issue than you. I have a valjoux 7750 but i woud like to take it at a local watchsmith but i am afraid that he keeps the watch and call the police. So what i also suggest to you is before giving him the watch or showing it to him. Tell him that you've got a replica of a famous brand powered by an ETA 28XX and you'ld like to know if he can work on it or not..

New here, some help would be greatly appreciated.
ProMariner replied to newboi1's topic in The Rolex Area
My friend all the answers that you need are on this forum you just have to read and search ! There's no replica 1:1 without flaws so there's a lot of sub out there with different advantages and flaws so you have to find the one that you can live with the imperfection that it has ! Now for the dealers, we have a TD list and you can see what kind of watches they offer and their prices so take a look ! (They all get their watches from same factory as BP, noob etc..) As you know rep are illegal so I think there's no safety way, it's like a lottery for customer lol. I've received today a BP sub ceramic no date 114060 and in my opinion it is the best ceramic submariner replica, with genuine bezel assemble, no date mag issue, end links and lugs fit perfectly each other without space and the dial is pretty awesome. Who has the best sub ? We try all to get an answer in this forum since we are in the rep game ! Good luck -
I received my submariner this morning, looks great, here is a quick shoot of it before I make complete review about it. Sorry about the poor quality autofocus died on my phone. I will make HD pictures soon !

Yes I saw it ! I think I can replace it myself but the main problem now is, does this gen eta 7750 balance wheel + bridge for Breitling will fit my A7750 and how the hell am I going to regulate and adjust the watch lol ? I broke it trying to adjust and regulate it .. I hesitate do bring the watch to a local watchmaker I am worry that he keep the watch and call the police, do you think it is possible ?
-
I've been contacted by Jason Chan, anyone know him?
ProMariner replied to scott60's topic in The Rolex Area
Lol I have been contacted by him also but on YouTube cause I was searching about some videos of rep and I wrote some comments. Anyway there is a lot of TD on all our forums, and I prefer to deal with them. -
Are sure with that at 100% or you are supposing ? Have you heard about this experience ?
-
By broken I mean really broken in half if you prefer lol I will go first at a local watchmaker, I called him on the phone and he told me to bring the watch tomorrow to see it and give me an estimate price. I forgot to tell him that is a rep watch with a rep movement, hope he will accept the job.
-
If the oscillator can be interchangeable with gen 7750, then I can bring the watch to any watchmaker and he can fix right ? Is a gen oscillator from A7750 is hard to find. I really worry about the repair price.. I bought the watch for 300USD and if the watchmaker ask me 300USD to fix it (inc service adjustment and regulation of course) I don't think it worth it for a rep...
-
The person who sold me the watch told me that he cannot source me the part .. :/
-
Hi guys, I just broke the hair spring on my Daytona A7750 in trying to adjust the movement to have something as close as possible to +/- 2 sec/day I touched with a toothpick the hair spring and now it is broken. Do you think a watchmaker will repair it even if it is a replica with a clone movement and with sec@6 modification? What will be the price ?
-
Thanks for the advice. Should I apply lacquer only on the insert markers or on all the insert ?
-
Do you know what kind of glue and paint I should use ?
