  9. Thank you very much. Very kind of you to say. Tru that on Matt. Send him a pic and told him what I was after and he sourced all the gen parts in no time. He is one of my favorite people on the planet and a great WS. I still think it is funny that she picked a watch that I would pick. Domed plexi, no date, simple dial, oyster braclet. I will do a complete write up on this once I have it in hand as it is a pretty cool story.
  10. Glad it is Friday, super busy at work this week. First golf tournament of the year tomorrow looking forward to some competitive golf and many cigars...
  11. Hi and welcome to the forum. Please do some research and start narrowing down your questions. For example, what Rolex or Pam model? Once you figure out a model, what version? Once you figure out what version, modern or vintage? See what I mean. Both companies have produced hundreds of models over the years and many have been repped. You will get flamed if you do not do your own home work and footwork. Takes much reading/research just to get started. For example if you are after a Rolex Submariner, think about how many models and variations that have been produced of the Submariner over the 60+ years they have been in production.... So after research you decide you like the modern 116610 with LN (black) insert, then you would have a starting point. Or maybe you are a vintage guy and like a mid 60's 5513 and that is your starting point. Then you might get some help on what direction to go from there.
  12. Couple teaser pics from Matt on the wifes build.
  13. We (Matt and I) just build my wife a 1002 with silver dial. Funny I took her to the AD and was going to splurge on one of the new ladies models and she did not like them. So then we looked a hundreds of pictures online and she does not care for dates or cyclops so in the end she liked the very plain SS 1002 with silver stick dial. Matt built her a beauty--late 60's model. I will post some pictures once it arrives.
  14. Nice, I love vintage no date perpetuals.
  15. Agreed, interesting case shape and nice tones on the dial. I probably like that the best of these on the page, but the cartoon pic blows it for me. Also from 12 to 3 there is text that says "what could you do in 14 seconds" which is somewhat odd for a watch dial. Like to see it with those two things removed......
  16. Some beauties there. Really like the new 3255 movement, looks sturdy and man great power reserve. Like the Omega retro speedy 57 with arrow hands and this last PP 5524. Also nice to see Rolex bringing back some textured dials.
  17. This needs some wrist time. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  18. Down to 4 watches on the winder, with 4 builds ongoing, my winder is lonely......
  19. This was not directed at you. A guy spammed a bunch of threads with a link to a web site for sales purposes. I think admin removed his posts. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  20. Lol, the bracelet comment has me reeling. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  21. Ya, not the best way to introduce yourself.... Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  22. Thanks for posting the pictures. Love the DD dial. The texture looks appealing. Not a fan of the YM, does not look like a Rolex, looks like some other popular brands. Although the gold Rolex text and crown on the dial with gold rehaut is a nice touch.
