Too funny!!!!!!!!No, he didn't call you a "Canadian Legend", he was replying to Legend that you reside in Canada. He has the IP tools to look that up, being a trusted Moderator here.
Good luck sending your watch to China. Be sure to post pics of the repaired piece when it gets back.

I sent one piece back to Trusty, which was received is horrible condition. You need to be very careful, follow the TD's instructions to the letter and have some valium on hand for keeping you patient throughout the process.
1. Be sure to request that the TD send you an address label in CHINESE, which you will add to the side of the box.
2. From the USA, I used USPS Priority Express, which cost me ~$40. It showed delivered in 7 days.
3. Even when it showed delivered, the TD did not acknowledge receiving it for several more days.
4. The repairs took several more WEEKS.
5. Then the typical wait for the shipping back to me. My return shipment originated in Hong Kong, so I'm guessing that's where Andrew has his repair shop.
All in all, it took about 10 weeks for the round trip. All the issues were addressed and the watch has worked fine since. That being said, I would probably not do it again. Take the time to find someone to service it in North America, or take SSTEEL up on his offer. It'll be a lot less stressful, but you'll pay a few more $$$$$
Actually I live on an island so I'm pretty remote. I'm really interested to hear from others who have actually returned watches. Thanks mule play.

Or, we can put it another way....... If you don't send the watch back first, you will get NOTHING back. Makes the decision pretty easy when you look at it that way?
-
@Hetlijk2 ---- You do need to return the watch first. One thing you can count on is that Toro is trustworthy and will refund you.

Well this was certainly an extreme case, but it points out a serious issue in my opinion. We are buying these from 8-12 thousand miles away. Personally, I would expect enough to of a QC effort on the part of the TD to ensure the watch actually self winds and runs.
Problems may happen in shipping and so be it. But the QC phot provided here clearly showed the screw jammed in the rotor.
To me, unacceptable.

Well, not to hijack this thread, BUT..... The QC photo of the movement clearly shows a problem. As the TD, you should have caught this as the watch clearly would not self-wind in that condition. We understand you need to control your costs, but we also do not want to spend our money on junk. Doing business half way around the world makes thorough quality checks all the more important! The hard truth is that sending watches back is a risky process and can easily result in you having our money and we having NOTHING.
We would all like nothing better than smooth transactions, but to really be a TD, you have to act like it. I've purchased many watches from you myself and never had a problem. Now, I'm nervous because of this glaring issue and your response. All the risk is on the buyer!
The buyer haven´t been completely honest on this story.
I kindly offered him to return the watch to repair/refund, both to China or to EU, he refused to.
After few days he said his future father in law fixed the watch and now it works smoothly, than he emails again after 3 days that now again the watch has a problem and he would like to return it to Spain for a FULL refund. I told him if the watch is in brand new condition, it´s not fair that I pay him full refund. But anyway I have to inspect that watch and if it´s in brand new conditions I don´t have a problem giving him a FULL refund.
SSTEEL contacted me today that the repair cost would be 145 euros (about 170 usd) for a 358 usd watch, we, dealers cannot afford to pay these kind of things, otherwise we will be out of business in no time, we survive by our rules and unfortunately all dealers rules is not to pay repair cost as usually it´s much higher than our benefit margin.
Mickey he is going to return to me the watch and I will refund the buyer, this is the best I can do, and the buyer returns me the bracelet.

Fascinating thread to follow!!!! So disappointing to see this junk being passed off as a Swiss movement by someone with the terrific reputation that Toro has! The ugly side of our hobby..............

Seems awfully expensive. Be prepared for the gold to wear off the clasp VERY quickly if you give it any wrist time. I had one of these as one of my first few reps and quickly came to the conclusion the gold reps are not worth owning.

You're a very patient man..... Regardless of how much or little money is involved, I'd have made a stick about it long ago. Nothing more frustrating then trying to help out a fellow member, only to be screwed. Maybe MoaB can help exert a bit of pressure on the buyer?
