They really dont have any good watches in HK. I've looked throughout Mong Kok and even with a local guide, there isnt anything worth mentioning.

I will report back once i get to Japan.

@doc savage: i currently have 6 pairs. i have a friend who's a dealer and gets "custom/special" shipments twice a year for their one off colors. I wear only these....... other than my dress shoes..... There hasnt been aother shoe more comfortable than these.

yeah D, i have spent a decent amount on her shopping in HK........and i still have GZ and a week in Toyko.......

I plan to bring about 2kish for watches. i have a list for myself and a few members here.....mostly watch parts. That is pretty much the highlight/objective of my trip besides my business agenda... Japan is primarily for the Mrs as she hasnt been yet so i figured we transfer over on the way home.

ok, off to Zhuhai and then GZ on Thursday.

i'm heading off to Hong Kong, China (guangzhou), and Japan for business/leisure. I hope to bring back many watches as i have several appointments with dealers/manufactures during my stay in China...

i'll be sure to snap pictures of the watch markets and hopefully not be mauled by the secret police. Anything i should be warned about??

hello guys. Greetings from Hong Kong.!! i've been doing the tourist thing yesterday..... Central, Mong Kok, The Landmark, Causeway Bay. i havent found any replica watches but i havent really looked. my wife is going nuts with all the shopping here. my feet hurt sooo bad, i think they're going to fall off. I havent been to HK in about 10 years and its different in a good way. Kowloon is still dirty and VERY busy though...

anyway i'll be heading to China tomorrow morning. i'll have 1 full day to myself for the watch district......if i can find it.

the president of my firm owns a LV Rolex, Pam 088, Cartier Santos 100, diamond bezel BCE, and IWC Pilot.. (yes they are all gen). all depends on the occasion.

i personally prefer to wear a gen montblanc timewalker with the black strap over my reps when meeting clients. most relate to how they love MB pens.....

btw, i am in finance.

I've always been curious about the following;

1. Do they tell you how to treat customers wearing reps?

2. What do you do when a potentially dangerous or suspicious customers asks to see a very expensive watch?

3. How many high end watches do you actually sell on a weekly, monthly basis?

4. What kind of discount do you get?

5. How low are you allowed to get the price for a customer who wants to haggle?

Anyway, good success on your new job! Sounds like a lot of fun!
