  1. Hello RWG,

This is my favorite dress watch of all time. I finally have one that's VERY reliable in my collection. It runs like a dream within 3-4 seconds per day. I waited a while to have this built. I'd like to thank Avitt and Chieftang for making this happen ;)

It still needs a couple things (gen rotor, gen CG, and another refinish), then it'll be complete.

    Thank you for looking B)

  3. My wife recently asked me to find her a new watch for evening wear and she specifically requested for a watch with a date function. I asked why and she replied "it was easier than checking my phone". I was reviewing her small collection and realized all her watches had a date function...hmm. (btw her daily beater is a Pam 048)

My first love is Panerai without a doubt. Second is IWC. I've noticed that I have been wearing my Slevin more often because of the convenience of being able to look down and quickly remind myself of the day and date. Although it is more convenient, I still feel guilty leaving my base Pams at home

I was wondering what members here prefer. Watches with or without day/date functions?

  4. 44mm Panerai's wear slightly larger than my MB Timwalker Chrono. It is measured at the case excluding the crown. With a 7 inch wrist, you should be fine with a 44mm Pam with leather or SS bracelet. I have a 6.75 inch wrist and they fit me just fine.

Btw, leather straps are the way to go. You could own just 1 Pam but a strap change transforms the whole personality of the watch.

  5. S, for the A series style case/cg (as opposed to the Pre-A watches that used leftover Pre-V case/CGs), shouldn't it be the 6502 caseback instead of the 6500 caseback? I thought I read that somewhere....

i believe the FGD's dials are Pre-A with the t dash swiss dash t which uses the OP 6500. A series with with t swiss t uses the 6502?

@ FGD: thank you. i hope you release you next batches soon.. ;)

  6. It looks lovely!

    Wear it well

P.S.: Any pictures of the caseback?

    Cheers,

    H

this was the caseback used before it was taken apart.

    Very nice!

Is that a dial from FGD's latest batch?? I am waiting to get my hands on one for my 009

The dial is the first run version.

    Looks great S.

    What Simona strap is that?

I am not sure. I got it a while back. Simona does offer custom/limited hides that arent on her site. I have a few randoms. Just email her ;)
