  1. Syntax error in line --- does not appear to be a valid registry path. Line will be ignored. Error code: 0 Damnit.. i got that blue screen again. must be bad sEntax... Anyone ever checked their Breitling for incorrect spelling.... In america we spell it BRITELING, or for some, Brightling(even though this spelling is actually the name of a small village and civil parish in the ROTHER district of EAST SUSSEX, ENGLAND). But never Breitling, Brateling or Breightling. those silly swiss don't know anything. p.p.s. Where has all the real discussion gone?
  2. Haha. Apparently they DO sell TONS of reps in Afghanistan as well as kuwait. My dad was over there about 2001-2002 (military) and he brought me back a couple of C+ or B- reps. He said the market was flooded with reps over there. He brought me back a yachty w/ white dial, a decent tag link and a pretty nice rolex Datejust. In addition to C+ reps.. they make pretty good Soviet Kalishnakovs as well..... or so they say.
  3. use of elipses eh? Do you use MLA or APA format in regards to your english sentax? i love grammar when people post threads knocking the quality and quantity of information on the site....
  4. My itch is back... but at least we see the point of this post you made... To [censored] on. I stand patently corrected... you in fact are right, but in order to avoid akwardness most linguists would tell you that the adverb sounds soo much sweeter when followed by a past participle.... heavily critiqued scrutiny. Commas and elipses are your friend.
  5. ok.. it hasn't arrived yet, but just ordered this one from Silix, since my camera sucks and my fotogarphy skills are next to nothing this picture on silix's website is probably the best that i can do. I like the watch a lot, i know its pretty unlikely that i'll ever encounter a real one of these in my lifetime but from what i can see it's pretty damn acurate, apart from minor number font issues on main dial and subdials and the raised(seperate) dial ring found on the original.... I've seen the rattrapante in a store front window here in madrid and i have to say that i don't believe any normal person would question this watches authenticity.. it could maybe even fool some jewlery store workers since this model is so rare anyways. Anyone else got one of these on the original rubber strap? just hope the mineral crystal won't scratch too easy.... p.s. Anyone know if the replica serial LOT number is the same for each of these special editions. All of the casebacks i've seen have read #226/500 (even though you can't see the "226" real well in this below pic):
  6. i'll definitely try to post pictures.. unfortunately i don't have the photography skills of most here. My camera is also a p.o.s. Canon 3.2 mgpxl. I'll take pictures but i'm thinking that they won't do my watches justice... we'll see..... p.s. folks.. i've had gonohrea before and the burning is insatiable waiting for these watches..
  7. ok Man.. Im not into pissing contests, but I do judge people based on their grammar usage. And in the above case,
  8. Hello to all. I just ordered my first replicas from Silix and I can hardly wait. I have some pretty average replicas from afghanistan that id rate at a C+ average... Im awaiting the arrival of a new Pam253 (asian valijoux... because i prefer the updated face, even if its not perfect) as well as a Rolex Rolesium Swiss mvmt. Just sent the payment to silix so hopefully things will go smoothly from here. I can hardly wait for these two beauties to get here. mods are definitely in planning. next purchase will probably be a breitling chrono evo white dial with brown leather strap, anyone ever order one of those from silix?? -ryan alguien aqui en madrid?
  9. In response, i'm already aware of what the flyback and rattrapante functions mean in the watch world. My question is if Panerai distinguishes FLYBACK and Rattrapante as different movements. Some movements on certain chronographs are referred to as Flyback functions even though they are clearly, more specifically Rattrapante or return-in-flight movements(retour-en-vol). I guess my question is if the functions of each chronograph are distinct or if Panerai decided to rename the flyback a Rattrapante to be more specific in it's ability to split seconds. A rattrapante generally needs at least two second hads and both the rattrapante and flyback have 2 second counters...... I'M CONFUSED. In anycase.. does the one button reset apply to the Flyback reps available?
  10. apart from the dealer posted pics on the site, ive only seen one or two people on the entire site with pam253s... anyone else out there??
  11. Forgive me if this has already been posted but i couldnt find any answers in my search. Are there any Panerai officianados in here that know if there is any real difference between the 1950 Flyback Regatta and the 1950 Regatta Rattrapante? It appears to be that apart from the names written on the dial of each. the only difference is their year of production. 2006 and 2007 respectively. Anyone know anything else?? p.s. anyone here have caseback comparison pics of a gen pam253 vs. a rep? Im just about to purchase a pam253 and was wondering how obviously different the movement of the genuine Unitas looks in the seethru caseback compared to the Asian Valijoux in the reps... would anyone here be able to tell a rep from a gen just by looking at the seethru caseback of a panerai?
  12. Thanks Scotty. I will resend an email to precious time later. Are the prices from both Andrew and Precious Time comparable? Where do you live in Spain by the way?
  13. So, this is my first post on this particular forum but from what ive seen in the last month or so, this forum is the biggest and best of what there is to offer. I
