3 might be fake, but the font and color of SUBMARINER looks great.

Nice shot freddy, I love the 6263.
Thanks for sharing.

That looks nice Cats, congratulations.
It'll look even nicer once its scuffed up a bit.

Great effort Toadtorrent.
Didn't know some of thoes existed.

Which one do you like more?????
The tan is nice on the orange bezel, but I prefer the black bezel with the black band.
Actually, I'd really like to see the black band with white stitching.

I've been watching this seller for over a year. I would be very surprised if 'jmryshi' started selling reps. His whole business hinges on the quality of the expensive watches he is constantly selling. I guess even sellers can get it wrong, but I very much doubt it would be intentional. That guy is one of the most trusted ebayers in watches.
Edit: The globe logo is a quite a new security addition.

Watch, boxes and paper; what a wonderful set you have there VH. But clearly the provenance is what makes it special.
Thanks for sharing.

the cost of the strap was 80 euros + shipping.
The strapmaker told me it was difficult to make and took a lot of time...

Well done marianetty; it's a well made and well matched, solid looking strap. I like it.
-
Nice strap marianetty; that's neat workmanship.
It's hard to judge the overall aesthetic with the blueish hue. I look forward to the black shots.

Looks like he undersold the top end reps by a mile.

I wonder what the design reasoning is for that extra dot.
Perhaps to help confirm the 12/6 line of the dial when under water with less than idea visibility.

The watch in the picture still has the protective stickers attached, the stickers give the strange appearence on the crown guards and have the 3D barcode at 9.

Just so we're clear, I'm talking about the difference between this edge and this edge.
I've never seen a rounded edge on a CG like this before unless the case has been refinished about five times.
-
To me they look to have rounded the outside edges of the CG's giving them a more pointed appearance; like they have been over buffed.
I know it's only a small thing but I have always focused on the classic shape of a subs CG's and now they seem to have changed them.
Maybe it's just me...
-
Is it just me or do the CG's on this new sub look like a monkey was let loose with a jewelers file?
I much prefer the look of the flat top, sharp edged CG's than these pointy looking things.
What does this mean for future reps?
-
Nice Daytona.
Is Diego wearing two of them?
-
That looks great iluvhockey...nice work.
-
But wait... you never told me who has the best sub!
At least the words 'best' and 'Sub' are in this thread now and they will register in a search.

It means that the end links on the bracelet, that is to say the links that attach to either side of the watch, are solid and not hollow. i.e. a solid piece of cast or machined metal.
Hollow end link are made from a stamped piece of sheet metal.

Thanks Stilty,
Definitely the safe option is to not touch it at all and my preference is to keep it original. I do like a good lume however...
Actually you wouldn't believe it, the old tritium dial and hands are still giving off a very faint Radiant glow heh. If you look hard and wait for your eyes to adjust you can just make out the time.
I'd love to put it under a geiger just to hear it.
You have a nice weekend too.

Hey Guys,
Thanks again for your help on this one.
I received the watch last Tuesday and I got my caseback tool kit today.
Everything looked Gen on the outside, was in good condition and the watch is keeping very accurate time. I was still glad to see this though when I opened up the very tight back this afternoon.
I'll post some pics of the Sub when it comes back from a service if anyone is interested.
How badly would it effect the value of a tritium model like this if you had the dial and hands relumed? Just toying with the idea.
Cheers

My answer would be, assuming it's a good rep, no they could not tell immediately.
