Member "thatsexystud" response. What say you RWG members?

WHAT... AN... IDIOT. -
Welcome, New Guy! If you're a Panny freak, you're in the right place...

We had this a year ago in a thread about Neil. Blah, blah, blah; the dealers need to improve their communication skills. No one answered any of my thirty emails. I've been waiting ten minutes and my watch isn't here yet. Where's the professionalism? PEOPLE; this is the business of counterfeit watches. If you want mainstream-type service, go for Josh or Andrew. If you want unique, one-off, and custom pieces, go for Eddie or Neil - but do so knowing that you'll send your money into a Big Black Void which will also suck in all your emails and PMs, and for the novice may create frustration and anxiety. But in the end you'll get your watch, or they'll make it right (most of the time...). @Aquaracer I know you've been here for like ten minutes, so I understand that you have no idea what you're talking about, but... @chad C'mon, man; this doesn't even sound like you. You've been at RWGII from the beginning... You KNOW how this works. I know you've had a shitty week on the rep front, and I TOTALLY feel for how [censored] you must be considering your recent disappointments, but look on the bright side; you actually had a grand-and-a-half to drop on rep watches - that's not such a bad spot to be in, is it? Hang in there; you said on another thread that you might be done with reps... I hope that's not the case.
-
Sorry to hear about your experiences. I have 20+ reps, 2 duds; both duds replaced by the dealer. But that's the game, no?

Looking good! GREAT post Pix, for sure. That's the right way to get started! -
He really is... SO well said, CC. Look, Matt... There are lots of people here who will help you out, and I'm sure (like we all were when we got here) you're super-excited to have found the 'secret door' so-to-speak into the world of (mostly) safe rep watch collecting. The watches look great, the prices are great; you want a whole bunch of them and just can't wait to get 'em over here! But here's the rub... It's not Amazon.com, dude. Even with 'store-front sellers' like Josh and Andrew, you may or may not get a working tracking number for your purchase. Your watch(es) may or may not get seized by customs. They might take a week to get to you; they might take four... The point being, take a deep breath, back up, and read just a little bit more before you jump out there into the fray. Because we know what's next. You'll buy from Neil (TTK), and start hammering him for a tracking number. You'll start posting "Neil; where's my watch???" threads. You'll bombard the place with anti-TTK posts because he took your money and you haven't got your watch in, like, a week. Weeks will go by. You'll be dejected and [censored] off. You will have been reamed by innumerous Senior Members and flamed to bits. God HELP you if you draw Neil's fire; look at Davedander. And then your watch will magically show up, safe and sound... And you'll look like a complete tool. TTK is not for the noob or the faint-of-heart. I've bought from him before; beautiful pieces that arrived in neat gold bags. But he doesn't return my emails either. That's Neil for you. But I don't get [censored] or PM him incessantly; it's the luck of the draw. And I've been here long enough that i) I know that, and ii) I'm okay with it. If he's not PMing you it's because he's hammered in a deck chair on a beach in friggin' Thailand with small naked Thai girls all over him. No offense, my man, but if that were me I wouldn't be rushing back to my email either! So welcome Matt; we're here to help if we can. But earn the respect of the board by researching your [censored] first, and you'll do just fine! Now here's the help you were looking for: TTK does not have a storeroom of all of those beautifully photographed watches you've seen in his album that you can just order from. Those watches are pieces he has had, and may have again. When he gets stuff he wants to sell, he posts it in his TTK section over there under DEALERS. If it's not posted, he likely doesn't have it. Hope that all helps, and sincerely - welcome.

Which wireless broadband router do you recommend?

Belkin Pre-N. Awesome fast. -
Yeah, I lusted after a specific Picasso for years. But then I learned that the damned thing was only regular paint, (oil, at that) canvas, and wood. Can you imagine? No plutonium or pixie dust? For 3.2mil? Ridiculous! I would also like to point out that the Hope Diamond is just compressed coal, and therefore also has no value.

Not to worry Pix; that's normal. -
I have found that the ultimate excuse to be given the wife is, "God demands it!" Sure, you'll seem like a TOTAL nut, but really, what the hell can you say to that?

PAM196 Daylight w. Swiss 7753. Stunning.
-
Nonsense! Just push the little button repeatedly; preferably right before 4PM. That was a joke, by the way. Don't want to be responsible for breaking your Daylight.

I've got the full skeletonized Breguet flying tourby; had it for almost a year now. It was close to a grand, I guess, when I got it; bought from Josh. I spent a long time thinking about it before I bought it. I couldn't get it out of my head. It's a rep; yes - but it is also a REAL flying tourbillon. Where the hell else are you going to be able to get that for $900.00 or so? The gen skeletonized Breguet flying tourbillon is $90,000.00! Now true, mine is not made of platinum or plated in white gold, and does not have a wonderful gen Breguet movement - but it does keep the best time of all my reps (17 or so at this writing); hell, it keeps better time than half my gens! The bottom line is it depends what you're looking for. No one else you are likely ever to meet in person will have a real flying tourbillon watch. It's functional and beautiful. It's unique. If that's worth it to you, then go for it. I'd rather have one completely unique $900.00 watch I love than three $300.00 reps that everyone has. I think the vintage rollie guys would agree, no? With all your mods and the base watch, what did your 1665 MBWs cost? But it

Hi, I'm Ethan - and I am a ghost.

Always, always listen to the lady. That's the best advice of all.

It's different for women, edd. I'm sure your Mom's watch looks great. Again, it's more to do with what Pug said about the difference between etiquette, and style. As I said earlier, there are no enforced rules; you wear what you like - just be aware of what you're projecting by doing so. There's nothing stopping some kid from coming into my office with a baseball hat on (other than the dress policy). But if he does, I'm going to assume that i) he was never taught that this is disrespectful - which speaks to his upbringing, or ii) he was taught that this is disrespectful, and he doesn't give a sh*t. While he may have an excuse for having not been taught proper etiquette growing up, he doesn't have an excuse for not learning it on his own. The ii) scenario is just plain rude. It's just about the little telling details that are interpreted and elicit a specific response in human interaction. It's not a rulebook. If you want to wear a big, diamond encrusted Rolex to an EC meeting, go ahead. P Diddy does. But then again, P Diddy is a product in and of himself; he's about what sells. He does not, however, influence foreign policy, effect economic trends, educate on a mass-scale, or participate in global commerce at the level where people who notice these things spend their time. Bottom line: do you want open doors? Or closed doors? Don't think for a second that minute, seemingly insignificant crap like this doesn't make that kind of a difference.

Uh... Didn't you just try to do the same thing? Of course, you've now edited that sentence out of your post... But let me help you out: Yup; still ugly. Oh, and by the way
-
The sentence you referred to was grammatically correct, member 4980. I wouldn't expect you to know that, of course, especially since the quote from your reply (above) is not. I mean, Good Lord, member 4980; four posts back you misspelled etiquette! Are you still angry?
-
And what useful, informative posts have you contributed in the one whole month you've been here member 4980? Why so aggressive and angry? Did Mommy and Daddy not hold you enough? PM me Pug; we need techies all the time.
-
As am I, pho; U.S. business etiquette has its roots in European business etiquette.
-
Thanks for chiming in with something totally useless, member 4980. All you have confirmed about your knowledge of etiquette and manners is that you have no sense of either.
