  1. Although I'm not one to go for boxes and such with reps, these papers are such a cool idea! Reminds me of the pirate maps I used to make as a kid for some reason. With coffee/ tea. Good luck! Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  2. All my best to you and your family.
  3. Why do you think that your dial is misaligned, but not your bezel?
  4. Hi ww, Saw this post and the follow-up responses. Did you ever get around to lining the insert up? Mine is also slightly misaligned, and I'm thinking about busting out the wife's hairdryer and having a go (with the watch). But would like to check if there's anything to look out for before proceeding. Thanks!
  5. Damn those Swiss gnomes and their uncapped francs.
  6. Hi all, I'm in the market for a BP TiPO. Both sizes fit me fine, but I was wondering if there is any difference between the 42 and 45 in terms of flaws. I've searched around, but these are less popular reps, and there isn't much information. Thanks!
  7. How about some kind of Franck Muller Crazy Hours? Lots of character, but not super accurate reps. Depending on the dial color, or could be used for dress. Not sure if TDs can currently get them, though. They show up on M2M once in a while.
  8. The JPY is at a relative low against many currencies. So, this a good time for Japanese gens.
  9. Perhaps look into getting a spare caseback. Though, I'm not sure how much this would go for.
  10. So long as we're on the topic of the gen movement, some may find this an interesting read. http://luxurytyme.com/movement/index.html Though, not directly on the 8400. Also, the article is not without some bias and controversy, it seems.
  11. For me, it was an AP Diver V6. Love this thing. And for you?
  12. Hi all, Or, more specifically, where can I get them? Yes, I realize that this is kinda "who makes the best sub", so please bear with me. Thanks!
  13. Hi all, Any of you good members happen to reside in Vietnam? My project has me traveling there a lot recently. Upcoming trip at the end of this month, and would love to buy you a beer or 10! Please feel free to PM me. Apologies, if this the wrong section, but other areas might not have been the most appropriate either. Xin chao!
  14. Just want to say thanks for your replies.
  15. Wow, hell of a ride. Noticed you also dive. Just got my done with my OWC.
  16. Thanks. I'm going through the same thing now. I'd been looking at rep Cartiers, but the gens don't do one bit for me.
  17. OK, after about a month, I finally got the joke. Har har, fellas. That said, your mom spotted it pretty quickly without a loupe. She said it was the biggest incabloc she had ever seen in her life! [emoji2]
  18. Hi all, I I'm fairly new to reps, so hoping you might have some words of wisdom for a new guy. What would you do over again in terms of your rep hobby, with the lessons you've learned now. For me (at least with gen watches). I'd trust the buyer before the watch. I'd find my "niche" to narrow down my search and what would otherwise likely end in a direction-less collection. Thanks in advance.
  19. Welcome! I'm also from California. Southern. Enjoy!
  20. Hi everyone, Just wanted to say thank you for your feedback.
  21. They go for US$58 shipped. About the buckle, I don't know. I didn't ask because I would just reuse the ones I have.
  22. In case anyone cares, here are some QC pics of the XS straps for which I've already accepted (two pairs), paid for and confirmed shipment.
