  1. how dare you paste our pm's into this thread? huh it's called private message not pasting message :@.. i will sue u pugwash!!!! mods mods u have something to do about this!!! i'm scared that he would paste about our secret affair :~(
  2. lol nah im just trying to stir it up even more i can see the joke.. but come on mann fight fire with fire .. to be honest im cool with the joke .. just wanna stir it to make it interesting
  3. id hate to be ur kids then ey? they're starving yet u spend ur days on the net making up some stories about ur "fantasy" deal that doesnt even exist.. hmmmmmmmmmmm good luck to them then thats all i can say!! poor kids.. actually wats ur paypal i'll donate u 50c so u can build a bridge and get the hell over it and become more of a person than some immature kid on the net..
  4. this has to be the funniest thread ive ever seen since i was 12 yrs old.. coz that was the last time someone made a similar joke like this.. id have to give u the creativity tho i mean copying lil kids joke is original after all right HAHAHHAHAHHA (see the similarity between my joke and ur joke) .. for a sec i thought i was in primary school n saw a lil girl having a cry because someone stole her lollies.. boo hoo! /me claps hands
  5. meh for me its the buyer's choice really.. its not misleading unless the buyer describes something wrongly n claims its a gen in then they should speak out.. but if someone is telling the truth and want to sell anything they want.. they can.. i can go out to the city tomorrow and sell my underwear for $10,000 and i dont think i'll get the thread crapping chad copes.. but just my underwear won't get sold.. but then if i say it's elton john's underwear, its a diff story.. so yeah if they want to sell it for gen's price i think its the buyer's responsibility to know what mods have been done and the real value for that gen!.. if the buyer wants more info they could post a thread n ask for the valuation.. i dont think anyone should butt in the fs thread and make rubbish of the ad because at the end of the day its their priviledge! anyway i guess this is my last input in here.. ppl are entitled to their own opinion i guess... this is just mine.. mind u tho i dont encourage ppl to overprice their used watch..!!
  6. because ppl are interested in buying mods i guess.. and if ppl dont want to pay for the mods then they won't buy it.. but if u look at the WTB section.. ppl are willing to buy these mods.. and yes mods do have value too.. if u choose to sell ur own mod for free then its u.. yes its ur fault for not charging this $100 previously.. maybe u should do it next time.. if u know the invisible hand theory.. the market will punish the scammers.. so hey if u could make that extra 100$ go for it.. as with chad's i doubt anyone would buy it.. even noobs have brains? but then again lets do double standard.. like u said modded watch shouldnt be added the mod value.. so if u have any modded MBW vintage rolex.. can u sell it to me in its original price less the used price!!! like u recomended? coz wow that would be great!! im serious.. im interested!!
  7. lol this watch+service+guaranteed delivery is wat i call a joke n gouging imo.. coz if anything chad would provide a better watch(notdropshipped and dont need to send the watch back if theres a problem which again cost u another $30 bux and 70 bux in my case)+service(would not shout at his customer for buying his watch)+guaranteed delivery(no need for customs risk).. so if J&A who's been scamming u all this time n u stand over all this time can charge ridiculous prices and have u defending him.. why cant chad? i mean i've mentioned it chad could probably provide 1000000000x better service, watch and guaranteed delivery better.. so yeh that was my point.. but i guess like they said ud always can see other ppl's flaw but not ur own.. im saying this to protect u from buying J&A just like how u protect these "noobs" as for the watch being dead.. i've sent over 20 or so watches in my experience.. and all of them have arrived save.. this is because it wasnt dead in the first place.. so im willing to guarantee in CHAD's case.. that his watch wouldnt die in a week.. unless u smash it or drop it.. in which im sure j&A wouldnt replace that.. because andrew sent me a UPO with a missing bezel insert he sure wouldnt replace it.. he just said "send it back" thats good service indeed ouft!
  8. again i agree with the above posts.. if u wanna make a big deal.. go save ur energy and give a big strike to the big dealers boycott all their purchases.. because they're scamming (marking up, or watever u want to call chad is doing) to thousands of ppl every year.. not just 1 or 2 watches that either chad or dani is doing.. so pls chad and dani is "scamming 1 noob".. ur all getting scammed by the dealers.. instead of saving some noob why cant u save ur freaking self!
  9. may i break it down? nah im not arguing but may i break the down cost? this would be more educational then the thread crap because it didnt break down any cost.. it just says $130 markup blablablablablablabalbalbalabla.. for me the 130 mark up is by andrew and josh on their HBB expensive so yeh.. thread crap them.. because i'm not kidding this is what i paid when i did my mods on my watches cost 1. silix prime hbb --> $400 <-- plus shipping like u said? 2. sending the watch to one of the modder for crystal popping --> $30 (assuming it's via registered airmail.. but i'm guessing ppl would send via ems?) 3. get the crystals out to k2222 poland from the modder (i got charged $10 for the postage and $30 for the crystal popping and put back in place) --> that's $40 4. paid k2222 another $55 5. waiting like a mutt at home sitting there wondering having a fantasy what the watch will look like and sometimes have paranoid feelings when u see some disaster happening during mods.. afraid of custom seizure, etc. --> priceless 6. if u've never had any ar coating runs sometimes u do have crystal remnants and have to go into re-run --> another wait, etc. --> priceless 7. if he was to sell his watch, Chad has to pay postage to his buyer (i'm assuming once again EMS? $30? fair price? because from aus EMS cost 70$) so with the cost break down i came up with ---> 400 + 30 + 40 + 55 + 30 = $555.. and i'm guessing he's selling it for $530? ok thats a negative 25$ for him.. and oops should we take into accoung this bs from ur joshes and andrew that states "we dont dropship" but the watch comes DOA? how much would that cost? id say the QC control and no dropship crap that would cause the buyer another $30 to send back? hell if u ask me the scammer here is not chad.. for me his pricing is ok not the best but ok.. but for spending 800$ for ceramic bezel crap that would come DOA and u need to spend an extra $30 to get it sent back to china? man u got to be joking me that no1 has ever complained about that.. but chad's u ppl make a big deal out of /me shakes head
  10. oh right!.. if its brand new u can mark it up.. thats cool then just gives me an idea nah my point is not the fact that members shouldnt speak up about it.. but boycotting ppl from buying it.. calling it ripoffs and stuff id say unecessary.. and im not saying thats wat mickey padge is doing.. its the snowball effect after his post that got into this boycotting nature.. because i have to agree with the post above.. if we're all gonna boycott used watches from being sold above the retail price because they did some "GOOD SERVICE, AVOIDED CUSTOM, MODDED".. then shouldn't we boycott josh and andrew and other dealers who mark up their watches ALOT for this "GOOD SERVICE, COMMUNICATION, etc. BS" same logic really.. again i agree with wat mickey padge said!! but stopping and ruining someones sales thread? man come on, he's trying to make money and feed his children and wife, let him.. like i myself is a believer of karma.. wat if one day ur doing ur business watever it is.. and theres some bee-like person outside telling ur customers that ur a scam eventho u believe that u arent and all ur trying to do was make money? and ur business gets ruined because of it? wat would u feel like? n im betting u thats wat hes feeling like now
  11. in a way i dont agree with price gouging from members to other members.. but i also dont agree with dealers(yes dealers!!) price gouging us! so here's the logic.. we thread crap on chad's thread but we all don't have the guts to tell the andrews or the joshes that they priced their watches too high.. instead we all praised them for the extra "good service", "good communication" bs that we never even get.. but we accept this.. and wat chad is saying is the same thing anyway.. he said he took customs risk, took a long time waiting in the AR slot.. sounds like the same argument as A&J having this "OOHHHH MY SERVICE IS MAD AND I ANSWER EMAIL EVERY 10 MINS BS" i personally hate double standard.. i freaking hate it to guts.. so id say pick either one.. either leave chad alone and let the invisible hand do the talking, and leave the dealers alone for charging high prices.. OR thread/email crap both so we all live in a peaceful world.. but pls dont discriminate one or the other.. because we're all human (a homoeconomicus in that matter!) my 0.02 tho
  12. the old version is using the eta clone 2836.. and it is 28800bph.. i do have this kind of modded noob in my watchbox too.. it is exactly the same as the 2836 minus the stampings.. however the new one uses the cloned 2813 movement.. (in my yachtmaster) and yes they have diff beats..
  13. i'm guessing so.. but you need a set of crown and movement holder too to accomodate the swiss 2892 since its a thin movement.. anywho.. asian 21j should be a robust movement in it self.. i've had 1 21j movement for around 3 yrs its still working strong, so i dont see it different in ur case.. plus i haven't seen many ppl complain about it..
  14. thanks mate!! thats the answer i've been looking for.. i didnt know u posted a similar post.. except notice how we got a diff response? in mine i get most ppl saying that it is necessary and in urs it says that ur overreacting.. just for the simple fact that mine is a rep and urs is a gen .. i guess the answer is still inconclusive.. but assuming that the cosmetic after the mods on the rep would be near impossible to tell.. i guess double AR isnt really that necessary? anyway id think about it still
  15. lol it is addicting man.. i swear this is why i'm even discussing.. because i just saw the 3717 again and i could not see any crystals.. looks like i will finish this project first and once everything is installed i might even send it for ur AR again
  16. it will be my daily beater and will be until it breaks down and practically unusable.. i have alot of modded reps atm, from modded iwc 3717, modded noobmariner, modded yachtmaster, and lots more.. but once this bce project finished i will actually just put all these watches on display in my room (glass cabinet) and use it as just a collection item and never wear it (all of these watches are in new condition, as before this my daily beater was this BCE).. but i just want this BCE to be just like a normal "gen" watch (doesnt mean i want to pass it as a gen and flaunt it around) but i want to use it LIKE a gen breitling, just like how other gen breitling owner use their gen breitling (the one and only watch to wear and wear it with pride if u know wat i mean).. but since it is going to be my one and only watch that i wear, i want it to be as close to the gen as possible! and i'm sure that the bce after all the mods will virtually be impossible to tell from the real thing.. but i'm weighing whether the AR would be necessary or not (because i'm scared if i get a jakub ar, the same thing will happen to me again with the accident of removing the AR, etc.)..
  17. thanks for the reply.. i think in that case i should go for the AR.. but this is where it confuses me to death!! hence y i posted this discussion!! as rolexman said one way or another even in the gen, the AR would be removed due to scratches.. so does that mean if a gen came into this state, it would be a tell that its a rep even if its a gen? lol.. funny huh?
  18. hi all.. this just came in to my thought.. lets be honest the reason we buy reps is because we like a watch but really either couldn't afford or just don't think it's worth it to be spending it on a gen.. or for some just as a challenge to get it as close as possible to the gen.. as most of you know i'm currently working on a breitling chronomat evolution project.. i'm thinking of doing a swap of lello datewheel, change to decorated gen rotor and movement holder, and might even swap to swiss eta 7750.. by the time it finishes it should be nearly impossible to tell the difference visually between the gen and the rep unless u really really really know what you're talking about (even in homer's thread we couldn't even tell right? ppl r guessing whether its a gen or a rep_.. but yeah my dilemma lies on the fact that i ruined the double ar on my ultimate BCE big time!! i used wd-40 to oil the watch but it ruined the double ar.. i know that i could send the crystals to jakub or brian.. but i've noticed that 3 of my friends who owns a gen breitling have damaged AR too and had it removed.. so my question is, is double AR really a big tell for reps? or is it just a preference for ppl because it makes the watch looks sexier? pls discuss ..
  19. actually if u notice the rank patek actually came 2nd.. so im guessing they are included.. and in the article it said that brands including rolex, tag heuer, breitlings, etc were included.. and yeah iwc came out on top
  20. not sure but i just asked my my watchsmith who usually works on my rep (usually works on my swiss eta subs).. he opens up my bce and he said he couldn't work on it.. so i'm not sure really
  21. hi i have an ultimate BCE.. however i would like to swap the datewheel with a lello datewheel.. however i don't have the tools to do this! and most of the watchsmith in adelaide (i've gone here and there) doesn't know how to work on an asian 7750.. so is there anyone in australia that can help me install the lello datewheen in my BCE? i'd rather not take it overseas because it just takes too much time and costs too much.. so if anyone here can help me with this project i'd really appreciate it.. thanks
  22. hmm i've always thought IWC is an expensive brand.. as for the pricing.. i'm not sure in other countries but in australia the price for a 3717 classic pilot watch is $7850 AUD and in the same AD they sell their rolex submariner for $6500.. so i'm guessing they're at a very similar price.. but i'm not sure.. slevin is about the same price as the 3717 where as the cousteau's are a lil bit more expensive.. YM is priced at 10,500 in aus dollars too.. so yeh both IWC and rolex are about level on their pricing level imo.. like BMW vs MERC
  23. would love to see your result brian.. i want to see how thin it is without the double tape markers
  24. scoobs just checked today.. n the answer to the result is that there is very little (if any) difference in our dial and the gen.. yes it is grainy in certain lighting.. but in ad lighting my 3717 are also grainy.. so im thinking that the reason for the above pic being grainy is because maybe the photographer uses slr flash to take it so it looks grainy.. but comparing it to the ad i couldnt notice any difference in the colour nor texture in the dial.. notice tho (like u said my hour markers are still a little thicker but not noticeable as the gen does not have markers at all.. its straight on lume applied).. and also the fact that our clasp has a hole on the side and diff datewheel to the ETA.. other than that im yet to see another flaw.. and yes i really doubt an expert even could spot it (theyd tell u brown pinion is a big tell but i swear the ones i saw at the ad today has gold pinions)
