these ROOs are one of the most beautifully built reps.. i jst got my eod and my goodness the built is the best ive seen on a rep

ahh ok.. so it is normal then? thats ok.. its good to hear others are experiencing the same.. i just never experienced it.. and lately ive seen posts here saying that theres packages missing for 2 yrs and stuff.. so i got a bit paranoid but i hope i can get it b4 christmas as the package were meant to be christmas presents

ok ive posted something similar b4 and im sorry if i do sounded like a noob.. but this time something strange has happened.. ive ordered more than 30 reps before and never in my life have i seen shipment from china to australia took longer than 7 days usually.. this is my 7th day now and the watch still hasnt arrived in australia? ive never seen that before.. and the worst thing is that this time the order is for christmas present and an audemars piguet EOD for myself.. total order is in excess of $1500.. :S so im a bit peed of now.. waiting for it is like painful not knowing whether it'll arrive or not :S

thanks lani.. i got everything.. i just need a decent enough case that is worth for me to pvd with z's pvd if u know wat i mean.. i mean ur the master here.. so if u think ur case is good enough and worth of pvd'ing i guess ill go on with it.. i have a dsn crystal and currently have a custom 202/a caseback, fgd dial, gen crown, t-48.. just the case is the one that is so rare to find..

so the only thing for me to find now is pretty much

- a movement (easy to find)

- jimmyfu hands the black ones(but even then i really dont need it)

and the stupid case :@

the closest i found to even being close is a jimmy fu.. and thats far from being correct

man im still having trouble finding a case.. those things are like dinosaur teeth.. i dunno how u managed to find one lani

ok this might sound like a noob question in a way but i actually want to know..

just recently ive realised that both panerai and audemars piguet are similar in terms of their approach to their luminor and ROO series.. in the fact that they based each watch on similar casing, shape, etc. most of the time the diff between models are the use of material or dial colour.. so this makes me curious..

ive read before that ap is one of the most prestigious brand of watch in the world.. but when u compare the price pre-v series of panerai to the limited editions of roo.. i realised that pre-vs are more expensive by far.. for example if we're talking about pvd.. 202/a is nearly double the price of an ap eod..

so my question is.. which brand is more prestigious generally in the wis' eyes.. audemars piguet or panerai?

this isnt a breitling vs panerai thread.. i just want to know how each brand is perceived by wises

I take It that It does not screw back Into the case. It looks like a common problem with some reps. loose crowns. The crown tubes can be thin and this Is what can happen In no time at all. This Is what I have been told anyway. I have a rep that Is having the wobbling crown Issue also. I hope someone can shed some light as to a fix, good luck Mike

i dont know whether its a crown coming off the stem hence the wobbliness.. or its actually thread is stripped.. usually what i do when the tube thread is stripped is pinch the tube and it usually worked.. but if ur scared of damaging it.. take it to a watchsmith

ohh right if you mean the rep is ugly then yes.. its repulsive.. i agree with maciek and say what is the point of this stupid thing.. theres so many things they can do like the jpm or pre-v panerai.. instead they do a pvd bumblebee lol.. it has to be a joke

but i was referring to the gen.. i dont think the gen is ugly at all

i dont get it.. alot of ppl call the bumblebee ugly but alot likes the eod.. its pretty much the same colour isnt it

man ive never had a night like this before to be honest.. i rarely get compliments or even a comment from anyone at all about my watches.. but tonight i was wearing a panerai 127 and for some reason the whole night i managed to get about 6 compliments from 6 different ppl saying how nice the watch is.. and one girl actually come up to me and we started talking about watches.. believe it or not she was wearing a breitling chronomat evolution on leather and really.. breitling actually do look hot on a girl.. but yeh i never expected a night like tonight actually.. panerai 127 really gets u alot of compliments dont it

Can't beat the genuine article fo sure.. but the PVD from the same source is what the PVD finish is all about..

lol ive done that in fact i was one of the first test bunny to get the getatwatch case.. yeh the 202a caseback is a dsn one.. but for some reason the lugs on the getatwatch ones aren't accurate whatsoever and im not really satisfied yet if you know what i mean

To keep costs down a CAD drawing would be much better than measurements. The actual milling is the easy and comparatively inexepensive part. It's the design and prototype piece that kill you. To be sure a case can be made from a blueprint or even from measurements, but you're talking about another 1k-1.5k in startup costs. Divided by, say, a 20 piece run, that's $75 per unit on top of what will probabl;y be a $250 case to begin with. With the talent pool at RWG i refuse to believe we don't have someone who can do a CAD drawing with a few hours work.

just to bring this back to life.. theres a guy on repgeek that can do cad drawing i think.. but what kind of cad drawing do u actually need though? i kind of have a panerai 202/a blueprint i think somewhere i'll send it over if you want

ye ive tried.. i bought about 3 cases already with stubby lugs.. but they all dont seem to wanna take my 202/a caseback.. i did try 'pre-v' search but for some reason it comes up with nothing found.. ill try searching for 'PReV'

OMG guys i really mean this!!! ive seen a couple of old eddie lee cases on sale lately.. but for all this time ive always been too late to actually get it as when its listed on sale usually within 1 hr its already gone..

but most of u know that ive been waiting for this case for more than 1 yr.. YES MORE THAN 1 YEAR!!! and to think that every month i post this kind of thread and i put it on my signature.. i would've thought that i would have gotten most of ur attention.. but i dont think i do.. as i never got any pm's but then i see all these sold threads of an eddie lee panerai 44mm old manual case..

so please guys im begging u.. i know my attitude stinks and all but im really really really begging anyone here on repgeek! if you do have an old eddie lee case 44mm whether it be pvd, stainless steel or titanium.. can you please please please please pm me.. i wish that before you listing it on the forsale thread that u pm me first because i swear to god on my life that i will buy it straight away..

i want to finish my dream watch and its been killing me that i cant find these cases and when i do see one its sold to someone else :S... and ive seen these cases go for $130 on the board lately.. i'll be willing to pay $200 if anyone wanna let these go to me .. please guys let my dreams come true..
