My Asian SFSO just died on me. I can get it going for an hour or 2 by manually winding for about 30 revolutions. It won't 'wake up' by shaking it. The hands look nice and free so no problems there. Any suggestions before I ask my dealer to swap it out? I've only had it for 3 weeks.

hey i got the eta version.. and first time i got it it only worked for 5 mins before it keeps stopping so ur lucky to even get 2 hrs .. ur problem sounds like mine pretty much.. anyway with mine.. there was no problem with the watch, the assembly of the movement wasn't right so i had to get it reserviced.. its probably the same as urs.. but i don't think its worth of reservicing the asian version.. so ill say contact the dealer back

I'm not a movement expert, but from what I heard is that there are no current automatic movements with the seconds dial @3 and the date @6. I hope one day the rep makers ar eable to make an Asian 2894....

My first rep was actually a quartz version of the black Monaco Chrono. The dial was reasonable, but the date wheel was white instead of black, the shape of the chrono pushers were wrong and I think the dimension of the case was also off. Too bad.... It's still one of my favorite watches I'd really like to see repped!

lol even the lume looks similar to me.. just the strength of it and the luma has scratches and not nicely finished.. other than that i think its pretty accurate.. looking back again at the datefont.. its very damnnnn close

was digging this old thread .. and i realised how last yr so many of what by tor listed hasnt came out yet.. .. but now it has.. the 2 watches that i really liked is tag heuer link calibre s and the zenith port royal el primero.. ouft if only our dealers can make these watches

Sometime I think why I'm always try to find the flaws on rep? Is it because they're rep? If I going to buy Gen; it's still not 100% guarantee no flaws either. This's the problem came from myself; I'm afraid someone call-out I wearing a fake watch. I expect a rep can pretend a gen....That's why I keep looking for a so-call "perfect-rep". I should / I must fine tune my attitude in collecting reps, otherwise I'll get more suffer than happiness!

i dont think there will ever be a perfect-rep.. i mean theyre getting very close to it but everytime they fix something another flaw comes up (which was previously correct).. so in my opinion the manufacturers do it on purpose.. for wat reason? i dont know.. but yeh most of us are looking for this "perfect-rep" but i doubt it'll happen ever.. so yeh just enjoy it while u can..

Looking at the gen's it seems the steelfish with the white dials are actually off-white? I was considering one of Ruby's and was going to pic a different color if the white is completely wrong.

most of them have the wrong colour i think.. i saw the blue one from rolexman's pic and compared it to my rep.. the colour in rolexman's is a bit darker in colour.. so the only one left i guess is black.. but im not sure how that compares with the gen i hope this helps

Very impressed with this rep, I do miss the same brushed look on each side of the watch as the top, bezel and bracelet has but perhaps that is how the original is also?

A bit worried about swimming with this baby, especially after reading a couple reviews stating the watch leaking water.

The Zigmeister can order those parts. He got them for my 3717, GST and Aquatimer (white of course). You need to schedule with him and if you are a new customer I suspect he would want payment for them when he buys them. But ask him.

its not hard at all you just have to find the hole .. that takes a long time.. but lets put it this way.. the only thing that im scared off is sometimes.. the the springbars would shoot and then ull lose it.. so if u havent done this before make sure u have a spare spring bars

In my limited experience, I've found that I trust the EMS site UNTIL it leaves the sorting centre. Then afterwards, I just check USPS. They're more reliable then, and I'm certain their other country equivalents would be too.

yeah .. i guess.. now that both sites say that its in melbourne.. i guess then the watch should arrive to my doorstep by tomorrow.. as is the case from my previous orders.. 1 day after melbourne or tuesday by the latest hopefully thanks anyway..

oh yeah i know the dealers are reputable and i know it will come.. i just wanna know when .. and im just confused with the tracking things.. coz one says that it hasn't left china and the other one says that it arrived in melbourne.. and now.. i checked again.. and its doing the reverse.. EMS site now says that package has been released from custom while the one on the aust post website says it just arrived in melbourne.. in a way these trackings are very confuseing LOL!
