yeh i think what he means by rust coloured is brass or maybe even copper as copper is rust coloured (gold).. then he said its supposed to be silver? so yeh i think thats wat he meant.. not supposed to be brass but silver

I am wearing the rep. I just serviced it and installed the ETA wheels and was staring at it through a 5x loupe for quite awhile. And they are shiny BRASS colored, not rust. Do the spots (pinion attachment points on the HANDS) you circled look the same color as the case to you? 'Cause on my monitor they look yellower...like brass.

how much does this watch normally go for? because i heard theyre 420-450? but my dealer offered 300.. and eddie said that it probably is teh 21k version?

Replace day/datewheels with ETA stock, relume and you have a stunning rep. I believe some come with AR and some don't. Version 1 (more expensive) comes with newer and better high beat Asian 7750. Later version costs less but has original (less reliable) 7750 movement. I wouldn't buy that one unless you are planning to swap for ETA movement. The good news on the cheaper one is the hands are readily interchangeable.

i'm sweet with the new asian valjoux.. i prefer that version actually... to be honest.. even the font isnt that bad.. i will change it though.. but i guess i just wanna go ahead with the 3717 rather than wait for the aquatimer.. for me the 3717 looks more elegant.. but other than the font theres no other flaws?

Main seconds hand tip should be white.

Put a correct date font wheel please, numbers are not like the eta fonts.

Also numbers on outer bezel look a little too thick compared to the genuine.

I do hope price will be reasonable.

latest news is that it WILL be cheaper than the costeau diver.. so hopefully its in the 270 range of price

The 3717 in your picture is an excellent rep, so is the Ingeniuer and the Cousteau. All have a few tiny flaws but nothing that you'll be able to see unless you're comparing macro photo's side by side on screen. Buy which ever one you like the look of and you should be pretty happy

yeah i like the 3717.. i heard the font of the date and day wheel arent really correct.. but its not even noticeable.. but other than the datewheel what other flaws are there? thanks alot

hi.. im interested in buying IWC watches.. but i don't know which one is the most accurate to the gen.. i like the look of this watch (below) but i'm not sure if it is even close to the genuine watch at all?.. costeau diver i heard is really good but then again.. theres too much flaw for something that expensive.. and aquatimer is not out yet.. so im tossing up between this watch or the new aquatimer.. so yeh can u pls tell me the flaws of the watch below? thanks alot

agreed with the zenith el primero.. if they can clone 7750s, ETA movements and everything.. why cant they try and clone the el primero movement? and actually make a zenith el primero watch :\

It's worth reiterating that the Steelfish isn't exactly the most expensive of gens. I wouldn't be pouring in lots of $$ building an 'ultimate' Steelfish personally.

yeh i guess.. i mean ive spent more than 400 bux already on these steelfish.. i dont think its worth of modding some more :S.. i think my last mod will be sending it to The Zigmeister for lume in august then thats it.. i dunno whether i should get carrera or link chrono :S

well i dont know.. i like my superocean alot.. and definitely wont leave my collection.. it would be my daily beater for sure.. but then again... the carrera looks very nice i want to add it to the collection.. thts y im kinda confuse... but The Zigmeister told me that he wont be able to do anymore watch work till next month.. so i guess ic an get the carrera now and safe up for next month with zigs..

ouft im having the biggest dilemma of all time now.. i only have 200 bux to spend on watches right now ok.. but then im tossing up about how i should spend it.. i want to get my superocean relumed with superluminova.. which will cost me around $200 (bezel pearl, dial and hands).. but then king also offered me to buy a tag heuer carrera chrono for $200.. so i don't know which i should get.. the watch or the relumination.. which one do yout hink should i get first? i mean The Zigmeister wont have his relumination work done until next month anyway hehehhehe any tips would be welcomed

Most ADs tend to view what's on your wrist to size up your watch buying budget. Its their job. The ADs I have personally known are pretty nice folks. If you find a cute gal at an AD, be prepared for it!

hahah yeh my friend she works at an AD shes very good looking too.. she sold me the rubber strap.. she said she was supposed to get a series number off my watch.. but then yeh she sold it for me.. but yes as to wat ur saying about most ADs tend to view wats on ur wrist.. like if i come in with my steelfish rep.. do you think ADs can spot it as a fake? or they could only do it if they have the 2 steelfishes side by side? because with yachtmaster... you can tell for sure.. from the crownguards, from the window blablabla.. funny thing is ppl say the window box is thick on the rep of steelfish.. when i saw the gen at the AD the window box looks the same thickness to me.. but i didnt have my steelfish with me to compare.. the gen looks like its sparkling.. but it might've been just the lights.. so yeh..

hahha i know.. its not so much about being called out.. coz most of the time ppl don't know what theyre talking about anyway.. its just that if i went into an ad with it in my wrist and them calling me out on it is embarassing if u know wat i mean.. lol but yeh i dont think many ad's know the model anyway.. i dont think they would remember every single model of breitling, rolex, tag heuer and all of their watches.

They come up for sale fairly often on the bay. I paid $80 each for blue and black. I have no idea what it costs from an AD.

i paid 100AUD.. but then again they said the price will increase... come to my surprise though the leather straps are only 150AUD.. i was thinking the leather looks nice.. but then i thought to myself if i buy the leather then i cant use it for shower

hey viper.. i bought a gen strap rubber too today in an AD.. lucky my friend is working in the shop and she sold it for me for around 100AU$.. but i didn't have my steelfish with me so that i can compare it to the gen.. do you know if our blue dial steelfish is accurate or not in terms of colours and everything? because the ones that i saw in the case was very sparkly.. but it mustve been the light.. coz u know them jeweller light.. but yeh can u confirm this for me?
