To know what in 20 years will be...
some decisions would be changed
I think you have to look at a decision just in time and Seniore Feretti thought it was a good deal... I am sure he got them more cheap from the dead aftersale of Angelus Imhof. The movements lay around for years before he sold them to Panerai.
And as Stephan said very very lucky buyer to buy Panerai at retail Price in the before-Sly-Area.
Cheers Helmut
As Stephan wants to say:
there were different kinds of caseback in use, some have slightl,y not really noticeable fase on the last ca. 3mm to the edges. if you want to call this domed.... OK
but there are still some of the 30+ just plain like the one sold on Sothebys with an serial-engraving on the caseback-outside, and this one is i.e. truely plain
Forgot the lumeshots
Yes it has lume:
Cheers
The Hands are untouched
but the numbers are hand lumed, made by the Combo
here the wristies remember the lines on the vulcano Plexi like Gen
cheers helmut
I know the pain that you have with the distortion of the crystal!!!
I own a DSN 217 with swiss eta and was and be happy with it at all. the quality is very high but still a rep.
On last GTG in Erfurt i had the possibility to compare it with a GEN
I was a kind of bringing back to the ground ....
The first difference was the different distortion. The Gen distort too but not at the same place as DSN does. it s more to the bezel so the numbers shown in the right size when you look on the dial in 90Degrees.
the case has a little bit better finnish but thats nitpicking
the hands looks real the same
MM printing is little more bold but in my eyes it looks nicer than gen
all in all you get the best rep 217 out of the box but it still have flaws
cheers helmut
