  1. Ask Kevin for his costs and then you get tears in your eyes... but this case is the best start for 3646-project at the moment. as Stephan stated there are differences in shape (case) and high of bezel, cause of the different highs of the dials nonsandwich for cali and sandwich for the later ones. and this is the most important fact EVERY case looks a little different: (gen pics found in the net) And here is mine from Stephan, compare: Thanks for looking and happy new year Helmut
  2. I think you love your 127... seems they got lot of wearing time cheers and happy new year helmut
  3. cool that you like it i have seen it before it was sent to you real amazing dial, stephan is very proud that he get this look hope to see all your photos soon there are more cool details on this watch..... cheers and wear it well Helmut
  4. knirim stated google translated: `And so we come to what experts believe and archival material 1938 as first model went into production. It is a clock in, pillow form 'with large housing dimensions (47 mm diameter), with housing and screwed crown and a black dial, on which no writing appears on the roman numerals, hands and Arabic numerals, with phosphorescent material are consecutive. As a wristband attachment serves two bent and soldered ironing. The mechanical movement (caliber 16) with manual elevator has 15 stones and no shockabsorber: it bears the inscription Rolex, the Rohwerk (ground-movement) however, is a caliber of Cortebert, probably originally designed for pocket watches was intended. The glass is made of Perspex, as with the depth gauges and compasses, and the bracelet is made of perforated leather, before the deployment was greased. The bracelet length is so calculated that the clock on the immersion suit could be worn. Clockwork, housing base and crown bear the inscription Rolex, which together with the graphic design of the clock near presented the idea that it is rather a small series from the famous Geneva watch house acts as a project of Panerai. This is not the case. The house itself Rolex declared in a letter dated 11 January 1990 at the Italian watch collectors and experts Francesco Ferretti: We want to make it clear that Rolex military watches never produced. The Radiomir Panerai built our concessionaire in Florence in the 40s on behalf of the Italian Navy. This clock was dedicated to the fight thought of using swimmers, while designing and production through the above Company occurred. Rolex was limited solely to the supply of watches, clocks why not take our trademark '. This makes it officially, so to speak: the Panerai watches were actually built by Panerai, where not only movements, but - at least initially - even other parts of Rolex, such as The screwed crown, used.
  5. This is a real beauty! As i stated before in the sales corner And a Sister of my Marina Militare! Both are Powered by Cortebert 616 with Rolex engraved Bridges. What a nit picking here. OK. Cortebert manufactured this base movements and sold this to Rolex. A normal trade as Panerai buy his 6498 by soprod /Eta nowadays. after some reworks, imagine it was war and there you havent much resources to build perfect watches, like to engrave Rolex (and 618?) on it and maybe some Adjustments to keep better time, that s all. Sending out to Panerai for complete the watches, Voila a Kampfschwimmer is borne. And after War for many years the situation of building super watches was not good. Imagine Italy has lost the war too. For pointing out the incabloc has been put on in the fiftys shown in stephans pic above. and to compare a molnija and a cortebert thats ridiculous, the qualitiy of factory is totally different, not on the first view but in use. Do you compare a Volkswagen with a Mosquitch(Moskwitch)? of course not. Sorry Everybody who have a molnija or Moskwitsch in working order should be happy, but if there are problems .... don t get grey hairs... Back to the thread please keep this Beauty ( Stephan has spoken to you manytimes) And wear it well as i do with my MM which is on my wrist for two month now as a dayly wearer with absolute no problem and keeping perfect time cheers helmut

  13. If the seller do not answer any question, there MUST be something going wrong... normal collector maybe have no chance if some rich guys chime in on this auction... but they have no problem if its not a 240, they have enough money to spent...
