  1. I would do that if:

    A: I were a woman

B: If I had more free time

C: If i didn't have to take public transportation everywhere. (it would get annoying hauling around clothes all day on the metro)

I do that everyother day when i workout or run.. but that's about it

Living in cold climates helps. I recall I took much less baths/showers back in England, than I do currently in the sweltering year-round temperatures of South Florida.

Nevertheless, there I am -- being able to change my clothes, freshen myself up, or simply change my mind about which watch I wear, as well as having an enormous amount of watches already ready "to go" (I don't need to fiddle with screwdrivers and lugs) means I will eventually use all my straps in much less time than it would with others.

Which is actually the reason I bought them.

The girl who had 3 Barbies grows up to be a woman who will never be satisfied with just one of something.

  2. Great looking strap on V's watch.

Thanks! If that was indeed for me (we have a more senior poster from Greece named V, so I defer the nickname to him. Call me Victoria anytime). :p

I bought a black croc strap w/flip clasp from Watch Prince. I'll post it up when I get it done. My clasp is toast, complete crap.

There are two Watch Princes. The one on eBay and our dealer, mostly to be found on RWI. If the latter, let me know, since I'd love what you bought for your PO! :)

  3. I don't tend to comment on the "cartel" threads. Josh has, and I'm honest here, has always treated me well and offered outstanding service. I speak only from my own experience.

    Same for Andrew and I.

I'd walk through burning RWG coals for the guy, because not once but many times he's given me the benefit of the doubt, and solved matters in one email. Now, I'm not unmindful of others' concerns, some which sound reasonable, but at least at this moment I am unable to share them.

  4. now if you could only get the chance to wear them all!!

I don't know about other members of this forum, but I change my clothes, and therefore often my watches, at least 2-3 per day.

How some men, and other non-picky women put on their clothes in the morning, wearing the same thing all day until bedtime, is beyond me. Icky.

There is nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, that makes a woman like a man more than to see him be a good daddy to his kids.

Exceptional, Hoochman. Congrats on your lovely family!!

P.S.: I can't believe your little one was just born a month ago. Look at him! He's gonna be a linebacker. :)

  6. i just like hashbrowns.. they don't serve breakfast at macdonald's here... sniff sniff... p.s. Correction... "como una ratita que se ha perdido su queso" esa suena muchisima mejor.... :-)

Gracias por la correcion. Y mira que nunca me atreveria hacerlo a ti en ingles, para no ser una sin-gracia.

And I'm all about the yuk-yuks here! Why just look at how many laughs I've provided you, which you are apparently obsessed about. I should open a consultancy firm!

    Straps -n- Yuks.

  7. when did you get your first start collecting?(both reps and straps)?? that's crazy! anything genuine in there? (watch or strap)....

2 months ago. I collected what was shown there in 1 month-5 days, exactly. No gens, of course, but the straps are. They were a fortune (there are a few rep straps there, but they are now outnumbered 20-1). I rarely post pics of my gens, since I promised my mum not to.

And why do I feel that you're ever so slightly intrigued by me, Plaifender? Hmm, hmm, querido de mi corazon? Siguiendome en el foro como una ratita que se perdio su queso. ;)

  8. Clicked the "useful" icon and received the following error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method xmlout::erate() in /home/rwg/public_html/members/sources/action_public/xmlout.php on line 171

Clicked on "agree" TT's post and got a similar error. LOL. :)

P.S.: Personally, I've never liked these kinds of controls because as in Digg, etc., one often gives ratings based not on what the person is saying, but if you agree with their politics, or perceived politics, and so forth. Mind you, in a controlled forum like RWG, it could be a good thing since that plays a lesser role.

  9. can I ask miss Barret (as per other members have called you).. Exactly how many straps do you have?

Please call me Victoria, Vic, V, or what my real life friends call me, Vicky, either or as well. ;)

How many straps do I have?

    304401-2.jpg

Well, as I mentioned in the Strapitis post, that very week after I posted the photo, I got 20-30 more. That was two weeks ago. You do the maths. ;)

  10. Victoria, I didn't know you were Boricua! NICE!!!

LOL! That's hilarious. Oh yeah, me and Jennifer Lopez go way back in the Bronx barrio!

@Rolli: It's too sweet for you to worry about my household budget (God knows, I don't...) but let's see your PAMs for Wed & Thurs. :)

@Hambone: La Spezia...perfect. You always have the best combos of late, Hambone!

  11. Excellent review Vic.. I don't have much spare time but I will try to do something similar ;)

The Battle of the Duelling Strap Reviews! No fair! You have hipper clothes than my father. ;)

I saw you reading this the other day with no reply, so I know you must have very little spare time these days. But good stuff, V.

Suggestions -- a video where you go through your wardrobe running your PAM strap through the various colours of suits. LOL. :)

Great to have you back, darling!

@Lanikai: You caught me with my pants down! What now?

@Elazarus: And who do we have here, reading my humble post...wow, it's like meeting the Pope, after you talked behind his back. ;)

  12. That's a coincidence.... I've just spotted the Fiero on a daily special for 94USD (!!)

I actually asked Elliot about that, since it's amazing he would do such a thing immediately, after he told me when I bought it, that he won't place the newer straps on sale (Arruginito, Fiero). This is why I paid full price!

Well, apparently he puts up specials for 1/2 hours and then yanks them. Whomever sees them, sees them and gets the special price. ARGH! I have two 24mm and I want one for my Fiddy. :(

EDIT: IT'S STILL THERE!! God help me, Strapitis alert!

    http://timeconnection.biz/page/timeco/CTGY/Special

Good luck for all who got interested after reading this excellent review!!!

Thanks for ALL your help, Erwinner. ;)

  13. WEDNESDAY

That would be my mum next to me, wearing her TWP LV. Now you know where I get my love of big-ass watches, bling-bling, and multi-coloured nails. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, my friends.

    304045-270.jpg

That's Macarthur Causeway entering South Beach, above. And yes, I almost had an accident. Happy?

    304045-271.jpg

And below, a detail of the Paw Marker "LV Cherry" strap -- it's really not that pink, or light. It's a medium-tan which looks light in the sun.

    304045-272.jpg

    THURSDAY

Miami Beach is great. But Nueva York is where the Puerto Hicans are at, baby! Not sure who or what left this t-shirt lying there, but I sensed a Wrist-Check opportunity and I grabbed it by the goolies.

    304045-273.jpg

    Jungle fever for my PAMs!

    304045-274.jpg

And you can rarely beat Savage of RWI's black stitchless on a Fiddy. :D

  14. VB - please leave my 'wad' out of this  although you may be right, it was perhaps a little overkill

NO! I loved what you wrote. Even the Rohypnol thingie (ooh, bad rush week memories, but moving on).

And your wad looks fine from here. But let's be honest, the Egiziano is what the French call ugly women that are so ugly they are beautiful: une belle-laide.

  15. say it ain't joe.

And there I was yesterday, after reading that thread there, thinking you had joined Risti and had forgotten your rep roots, Wheaton26! By the way, happy belated happy birthday. You are officially one year younger than I, but your gen Panerai helps.

@By-Tor, whom I spy reading this: Wrist-check? Please...

@SSSurfer: He's one of the greatest, some say THE greatest Quarterback of all time. He played for the legendary San Francisco 49'ers in the 1980s, winning 4 Super Bowls in that time. Some love him, some hate him. My boyfriend loves him because he's a good Italian boy from West Pennsylvania (like Miami Dolphins' Dan Marino). What's not to love? :)

  16. Whatever.

That's just because you don't know what Pipoca is! Especially that sweet, brown pipoca they sell outside of the Roxy cinema in Copacabana, whose aroma you can breathe all the way from Posto 3.

But you have to admit that he really knows how to turn a phrase.... :D

Yes, yes he does. Thought he overshot his wad a tad with the Rohypnol allusion, but the girl who describes straps as if they were Caravaggios shouldn't talk.

@Plaifender: Don't sweat about my straps, tio! I got 300 straps just like it at home. :)

@Tourby: I know the history of the Egiziano, my love. You let me worry about what looks good on me. I have proven everyone wrong so far with the Fiddy, so pfui to that! ;)

  17. Or in layman's terms, take Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez and an IVF research lab..... :whistling:

Wronggggggg! The Egiziano is like Kerlon.

You may think it's a bit overrated, and want to kick its shins so it writhes in agony for making you look bad, but you can't help but to stare with your mouth open, full of pipoca.

  18. Gaaaaaaaaa!!! You've seen one Pam, you've seen them all. I mean really....... how many iterations of THE SAME BLOODY WATCH can one guy (er, "person" in the presence of the delectable Ms. Barrett) can one have?

In fairness, that's what everyone around me says. When I showed my mother the PAM 112 photo, she looked at me blankly, and said, "It looks exactly the same as the other ones".

The weird thing about it is that I kinda agree...BUT SO WHAT! :)

(I also think the same thing about Rolexes)

Bored? I can't be "bored" or I'd be 8 feet long and stiff.

I don't have enough time left to live, for all my plans, much less time to be bored! Perish the thought, full speed ahead!

    Go! Go! Go!!!!!!!!

You had me at 8 feet long and stiff!

  19. Lighting and white balancement in taking pics can play tricks. Still, I suspect that DSN's 036 lume is too yellowish. Owners of DSN's 036 may chime in and confirm (or else).

I cannot speak to the details, but coincidentally, there is a DSN 036 for sale in the trade section:

    http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=45414

Famed modder, Tourby, seemed excited about the movement, citing the screws look polished and refined. No word on the markings though. :)
