  1. Bang on. That's what some of us have been repeating for the past while.

Some of you - ad nauseum.

A very small proportion of the membership, thinking that if they make enough noise, will be able to spoil the fun for the majority.

Perhaps I am immature... but I enjoy the humerous, creative and erotic avatars. The ones that offend me - and, yes, there are some - I ignore.

  2. What's in your tankard Clive..?.....some of the pigswill from RWG...?

    Uncalled for, Neil.

Yes, I visit RWG1.. You wouldn't want to deny me the opportunity to cross swords with Dems, now, would you? :D He is my Cousteau...

Say what you will about Blade... but he had some skill at keeping a forum at the head of the search engines. So RWG1 continues to attract a great many newcomers. It is my pleasure to point them in the right direction, when I can. There are still a few of the old guard hanging around, doing the same.

Those of you who have abandoned RWG1 have denied tomorrows newcomers from benefiting from your experience.

I visit - and post - on all the boards. Without fear, favour or misguided ideas that a message board can be a "home". That is a very curious notion, in my opinion.

Neil - you have been hanging around the boards about as long as I have, maybe longer. Remember Andre's board... pre-RWCC - the one that started it all? Started it for me anyway.

Boards rise and fall, dealers come and go (present company excepted, of course :))... but you and I will go on forever, despite trolls, scammers and moderators that run off with the funds. And no, I'm not referring to Blade... he was not the first to blot his copybook.

Admin is a gem, of course. Goes without saying. We all owe him a debt of gratitude for keeping it all together.

Without him, the rep forum world would be a much smaller place.

RWG1 may be a shadow of its former self right now. Tomorrow? Who knows.

  3. I agree Clive - there can be no references to [censored] on this forum!

    JTB

 First laugh I've had all thread.

But I have SO little sympathy with mentalities that want to start a Jihad at the first glimpse of female flesh.

The avatars here, and on the other forums display a great degree of creativity, humour and, yes some erotica. (There is a difference between pornography and erotica... you with the dictionary... look it up).

I have found some ... a very small minority... offensive, in some degree. I may have felt some sorrow for the author... but would not wish the avatar removed. What right do I have to impose my will on another?

    None at all.

Quite frankly, I have not seen any avatar or sig, on this or any of the other watch forums, that I would not wish to prevent my wife, children or mother viewing.

All it takes is a sense of humour.

  4. The most likely cause - and the easiest to fix - is that the screw that retains the winding stem is loose.

In order to prevent damage, loosen the screw shown in the pic - half a turn should be enough. Don't remove the screw - there is no need - and you will only have to put it back again.

Re-insert the stem, turning it gently as you do so - give the gears a chance to mesh.

Then check that the screw indicated in the pic below is tight.

If that does not solve the problem, seek professional - or at least, more experienced, advice.

The briges on your movement may not look like those in the photo. Don't worry, ... this is from an early 111 rep - the special dyslexia edition
