  1. The 7750 versions are out too. Has anyone bought these? Any feedback or pictures will be appreciated. Or it's so unpopular that no one is buying it?? Thanks.
  2. We can also consider some other more secluded cafe outlets. Think there's a spinelli near peninsular shopping centre or excelsior hotel like pretty quiet and not much people too. And if you all want to verify any watches, there's sincere, cortina, peng kee etc round the corner too As for the korea food think they have......korean wine & beer....other aspects wise..... mostly fr China.....but lady boss is a true blue korean.
  3. Oh no what a disappointment! I might be away for a work trip & will only be back on 26th. Hopefully there will be some changes then I can go for the GTG. As for the club house. I haven't been there for some time and lately no time to swing by to go check it out. But what I know is that level two is closed for renovation so not sure about level one's condition unless you all want to take the risk. Haha if you all want something cosy and maybe even with private room if we have sufficient nos. you all might want to consider the korean restaurant in Amara hotel as more privacy and nice food too
  4. Haha so looks like I'm not the only one waiting for more dial color options! I saw the first two at my local AP AD. Pretty much like the dark blue dial as well as the white dial with blue sub dials. I guess the factories launched the black and white dial options first as easier and can't really go wrong whereas for blue, it may be harder to get the correct hue. Anyway think they haven't get the square area area outside the date correct except maybe for Angus with some mod provided. And another model to consider not sure if anyone likes it too....the limited edition ROO Jalan Bukit Bintang. And did I see correctly the white square date area for this version...
  5. I'm also waiting, these days with so many new watches coming out like Skyland, Concord C1, U-Boats, AP ROO etc wondering when is the big pilot coming? Is it that tough to make it? We already have running secs at 3, running secs at 12 and even 50mm U-Boats. Or is the big pilot really not that popular?? I will continue to wait......
  6. Hi pals count me in! Oh coolfire I managed to rang up the club house, the renovation has yet to start, so the cafe, chinese restaurant, bar and lobby area are still open to public. And I think it's not in public's eyes too at least not so crowded. Well, location wise very near Orchard just a short walk from Douby Ghart MRT if taking public transport. For those who are driving, can park inside the club or at Park Mall too.
  7. Wow beautiful watches with some handsome straps! By the way just curious, does these straps come with the end links to fit the watches or have to buy separately?
  8. I would say Silix has excellent service & always willing to go the extra mile for his customers. Now back to the topic, pretty tempting deals indeed
  9. That's a truly handsome watch! Thumbs up pal! Today I saw the blue dial one with stainless steel strap, I'm waiting and wondering when the rep version is coming up
  10. Saw from King's site U-boat reps are out! These are in quartz but looks quite ok if not expecting it as a super rep or any where close to the gen ones, so does anyone has any opinions on these watches? Or has anyone bought any of these watches? Pls share. Thanks in advance! So tempting!
  11. Another thought came across my mind. Does anyone know where could I buy the stainless steel radiomir casing with crown guard and maybe the hour/minute/second hands? Then I could swap the movement and dial over to the stainless steel casing which could be the easier way out. Any comments?
  12. Hi pals, I have a rose gold pam watch but realised some parts the rose gold plating starts to show signs of peeling. I was thinking the watch case should be originally in stainless steel, they just plate it so that it looks like rose gold. So an idea came across my mind today morning, what if 'sand' off all the rose gold plating, will I end up having a stainless steel watch case? This may not be a new idea, maybe someone has done it before. So what type of sand paper should I get and will my idea work? Or are there other ways to achieve the same result? Hope to hear from you all. Thanks in advance. Have a nice weekend!

  14. Hi folks does anyone know of any good watchsmith that can service rep watches in Singapore? Thanks.
  15. Only 3 words...... It's freaking tempting!!!
  16. Hi dear all, I was doing a bit reading and realised for the 187 there seems to be first generation and the newer ones. May I know where to find a good rep of the 187 now? Or is it impossible to find one now? Haha I'm beginning to fall in love with this watch! Thanks in advance.
  17. Oh guys I saw the gen chronofighter diver today at the AD! I was staring at it for some time, I must say the rep is really really very close to the gen! Oh no now thinking hard if I should get this and break the pam cycle..... could it be I find pam a bit common now so wanted to try something different?
  18. Thought of doing a quick update. The dealer has replied over the weekend and he even apologized for the inconvenience caused. I have shipped the watch back to him now got to wait patiently for the new watch to come. Hope he will get me a nice piece and touch wood this time round no more issues. A good respectable dealer can make all the difference, I'm glad so far things are handled tactfully.
  19. Thanks for all the encouraging words pals! Yap will not let it affect my weekend though I really wish that all is working fine. I do have other watches with A7750 movements, most of the pushers are a bit stiff but this one even if you push the pushers all the way in, nothing happens. And today worn it a full day realised towards evening time, the time stops moving! And I have been pretty active like walking around and taking pictures but wonder how come it still could lose power? The rotor didn't move? Or worst another hidden issue?
  20. Thanks yellomen. Yap that's why I said I have to wait as dealers are humans too and due to time zone differences so have to wait a little. Plus its weekend so maybe got to wait a while longer. Dealer wise guess no issue as I have a fellow buddy that has bought numerous watches from him likewise for some of the hobbyists here. It just feel lousy when you received a nice watch and realised certain parts are not working. Have a nice weekend folks!
  21. Thanks Takashi & piratedzeus. Certainly hope things will work out but will have to fork out extra to ship the watch back to dealer. Sad case man.
  22. I have finally decided to pull the trigger to get the coustea diver 2006 knowing that there are some improvements compared to when it was first launched. The story begins....the watch arrived....it sure looks and feels like a super rep. It's a beautiful watch and I love it. Bad news is that the chrono function is not working at all! The pushers appeared to be fine but the chrono isn't working. I have dropped an email to the dealer and guess I have to wait for his reply.... its has been more than 12 hours really hope to hear from him soon then again they are dealers so don't think they will reply that fast and weekend is just round the corner. Heart pain man
  23. Hi I tried to do a search but very little info is being found over here. Does anyone heard of the brand Stuhrling? Are their watches reliable? I'm looking at the Eagle Men's series pretty much like it as a fun watch, any comments?
  24. Hi dear all, I need some advice and confirmation. I'm planning to swap the day-date wheels for my 2006 Coustea Diver and I'm thinking of getting them from watchpart. I should be looking at those parts for the ETA Valjoux 7750 movement right? Here are the part numbers from the website, would appreciate if anyone could confirm I'm getting the correct parts. 1. Date Wheel (black figures on white): ETA Valjoux 7750 Date Ring 3 o\'clock window [val7750DR03] 2. Day Wheel (black figures on white): Valjoux 7750 Day Indicator 3 o clock [VAL775025611] *Realised that the website may have some descriptions error, as pictures are showing black figures on white but the text on the website is written as white figures on black... so should I trust the pictures and order? Thanks in advance! Have a nice weekend!
