  1. Wow are you all sure that's not a pre-Basel watch fair committee meeting??? Haha I'm planning to organize one but not on the 'Basel' scale GTG in Singapore if there are interested parties. Stephane more picture please, I wonder how its like with so many fellow hobbyists turning up at one place! And how many watches are there that night???
  2. Oh yes you can find them at the russian/germany watch boutique at Wisma, think they have outlets at Millenia Walk & Republic Plaza too.
  3. I was told there are nine different color dials for this model. Oh that pvd black one is nice! If it comes with the hour, minute and secs hand in orange it will be a cool combination. Is this black one the newer or older collection series? Btw I was told inside is using ETA 2824-2 movement.
  4. Hi today I went out dinner and happened to come across a watch boutique mainly carrying russian and germany watches. One of the brands caught my attention. Not sure if you all heard of Nauticfish? Is it good? Any owners over here? One of them is a diving watch, waterproof up to 3300ft/1000m and design wise quite classic but I pretty much like the layout and colors. Any comments are most welcome.
  5. Thanks TWP! Yap I received your message! Hooray!
  6. Hi tech thanks! I will be looking forward to hear from you again!
  7. I just received a copy of the pam catalog featuring watches with all their in-housed movements like P.2002, P.2003, P.2004 & P.2005. I realised there is a certain trend. If you look at their models and their casings, mainly two types of casings are being used. Radiomir casing in 45mm and the so-called mini-fiddy casing in 44m. There's only one with fiddy 47mm casing and that's the tourbillon model. Guess they are keeping it simple and playing around with the different dials and functions. In fact there are six models using the 45mm Radiomir casing and four models using the middy-fiddy 44mm casing. On a little side note, guess we wouldn't be seeing these reps any time soon as most have power reserves between 8-10 days. And for those who wants to know more about Panerai, I guess there's a copy of the 'out of darkness into light' book given with the Revolution magazine. Pretty useful info and nice black & white pictures in it too!
  8. Exploding is one thing if got hurt by the glass bits it will be quite upsetting!
  9. Does that mean 47mm Fiddy other than those from DSN run the risk of exploding?
  10. Hi dear all, may I know who have the Steinhart Nav.B-Uhr watch? I have done a search and saw some fellow hobbyists having this watch. May I know are there any more people who have this watch? Please do share some of your watch pictures if you have any and your experience on this watch as I'm close to pulling the 'trigger' to get this. Good or bad comments are both welcome. Thank you!

Looks like we are not there yet.... we just have to continue to rock and bump a little harder!
  12. Wow Asad thanks for sharing! I always think that handling those watch movements is a very difficult task but looks like you are making me think twice! I believe you derived great satisfaction from making your own watches! THANK YOU!!
  13. Wow scoobs1971 that's great info! Now I know. Haha....looks when it comes to 'Z' they will have to think of new abbreviations!
  14. What I mean is that is it true those abbreviations like 'E', 'G', 'H' in rep watches only refer to 'cosmetic' difference in the watch movements just like shown in pictures 1 & 2?
  15. Hi dear all, I understand Panerai do have a few different movements for their different watches. I'm not talking about those new in-house movements. I'm mainly looking at the OP XI and OP X. I have done a search and gone through hard copies of the catalogs but I still have some queries especially with respect to the rep movements. I hope you all could help and advise me a little. Thanks in advance. Let's get started. Here is what I know. Please do correct me if I'm wrong. Below is a pic of the OP XI with the word 'Panerai' repeatedly engraved and the words 'Officine Panerai' in gold color engraved too. (Picture 1) Next is a pic of the OP X with only the words 'Officine Panerai' in blue color engraved. (Picture 2) From the above, cosmetic wise it's obvious there are some variations. My question is that for reps, I tend to see models stated with abbreviations like 'G', 'H', 'E' etc so I'm not sure what they are referring to. And so do the gen watches let's say for a certain model comes with two different variations in the movements too? 1. For example for 111E, is it using movement like shown in pic 2? 2. For example for 111G, is it using movement like shown in pic 1? 3. For example for 127H, is it using movement like shown in pic 2? 4. For example for 127E, is it using movement like shown in pic 1? 5. For example for 183G, is it using movement like shown in pic 1? 6. For example for 183H, is it using movement like shown in pic 2? 7. Then for Pam005, which movement? Thank you!

Do the rep makers need a SWAT analysis in order to convince them we need the Mark XVI??
  17. Wow with so many people wanting to be in the list....looks like though I emailed TWP yesterday I may not be in the list already....
  18. Looks like more on playing with the colors. Long way to go......our dear rep makers can't even get us our Mark XVI.....
  19. Hi fendushi thanks for the info. So am'I right to say if getting a DSN Fiddy now, dial wise, hands etc all the same as the ultimate version just that the movement is different now, no more swiss 6497 movement? I took a look at his album the ultimate is there maybe its not updated that's why I thought its still available.
  20. Just curious why can't we get it any more? DSN Fiddy is from David right?
  21. Nice! Nice! What am'I waiting for....
  22. Wow! What a matching pair! By the way do you have any day-date alignment issues with these two watches? Or is it really a hit & miss affair depending on one's luck? Thanks for sharing!
  23. Hi UB7 thanks for the breakdown in the prices! Looks like a pretty good deal compared to 1K off the shelf for an ultimate version. Wondering why the rep makers not lowering their prices after almost half a year since it last went up in price. The only reason I could think of at the moment is that there are still lots of people willing to fork out 1K for the ultimate versions. Look at it this way, started off around $500, went up to $700+ then up again to $900+....will it remain this way??? Back to the topic, personally I don't fancy the black magic but the more I look at it over here, it seems I'm falling in love with it. Nice watch UB7! Maybe I will take the same route as you, thanks for sharing! And did you get that un-textured strap separately or it comes with the watch? By the way, UB7 did you get the IWC Slevin on stainless steel strap too? Any chance for a review on that?
