  1. Not ALL bad, but the bad outweighs the good, 100:1. Racial issues have gone in the wrong direction. Reverse discrimination is bad. I don't see "diversity" itself as a worthy goal. A lot of people hired to fill racial quotas are downright unqualified and incompetent, in my experience. And what message does that send to youths of any color?
  2. Diversity alone doesn't necessarily lead to violence. But certain blends can and historically do, both here in the USA and elsewhere in the world.
  3. Listen to this wise man and stick with gen Superlume!
  4. Nice rep!!
  5. Ahh, this must mean you have a way to stop mass murders and a way to prove that it would work here in my country. Please, do tell.
  6. What is that I see swirling the drain? Looks like your credibility..... UK = 92.1% white, 2% black https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/uk.html
  7. One needs to look no further than America's ghettos to see the end result of liberal social engineering. Accountability: Gone. Incentives to work: Gone. Families: Gone. This is the welfare state at work.

  9. Yes. The USA has far too many violent assholes. Some of it is cultural. Much of it is because of our diversity. What works in terms of laws and policies for smaller, homogenous populations might not be the best choice for a large, diverse population. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml...19/uviolent.xml That's not somwhere I'd want to live. Lots of muggings and home invasions. Criminals act with impunity since the unarmed populace can not fight back. While violent crime is low, theivery is rampant. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article....RTICLE_ID=21902 There has been a reported "dramatic increase" in home burglaries and assaults on the elderly. Who would force their elderly parents or grandparents to engage in hand to hand combat with a young aggressor who probably lifted weights in prison, all day, every day, for the past few years?
  10. Crossposting my thoughts originally posted in ken's thread.... Here in the US, the same people who think it's impossible to deport 11 million illegal Mexicans think that it's entirely plausible to confiscate 250 million firearms. Even if it were plausible, it won't prevent people apt to comitting heinous crimes from obtaining weapons to do so. No, gun control won't work and wouldn't have worked in this case (guns were already banned on campus as is), however a little psycho control would have gone a long way. Here you had an individual writing disturbingly violent papers and plays for class assignments, stalking multiple women, intimidating students AND teachers, setting fire in a dormitory, and being admitted for psychiatric evaulation. Based on what little we already know, this guy should have been long since prosecuted and expelled. But instead of addressing the facts, so many people want to use this tragedy to demonize guns yet again. The gun grabbers are single minded, waiting for moments like this to make emotional exploitations. And to top it off, what seemingly hasn't been covered are all the bills that went down which would have given these students a fighting chance by allowing them to carry on campus. If a fire had killed this many people because there were no fire extinguishers, that almost certainly would have been reported. Yet here you had a well documented psycho on campus who was brushed under the rug, while at the same time fellow students were denied their right to defend themselves against him. Terrible. Oh and by the way, I have some advice for non-Americans who think they know best how to run our country. But since this is a family channel, I will decline to share it.

  12. C3 is the correct color for the PAM 196. Period. Another great The Zigmeister 196 lume job below. As far as the banning goes... While the forum software might not be, Apache certainly is capable of rejecting HTTP requests from specified IP blocks. FYI.
  13. By-Tor, you're well on your way to having more subs than Tribal!!!
  14. Here are some rates: http://www.The Zigmeisterinfo.com/clist.pdf
  15. If there is an existing coating on a crystal, the coater will return it uncoated and you won't be charged for it. In the first AR run I believe there were two crystals shipped back uncoated for this reason. One was mine, and I was able to remove the coating myself and send it back in run 2. The only concern might be if there is a coating that they don't detect and coat over it. Then I honestly don't know how the result would look.
  16. I can only imagine the sick feeling you must have had. On the bright side, at least they weren't gens!! And in the grand scheme of things, this stuff is replaceable.
  17. The Starrett calipers are very nice. I'd love to have a set (not for watches), but can't justify it. I have a set of Grizzly dial calipers that do just fine. You could probably sell the Starrett, buy a cheaper set, and pocket $80-$100.
  18. Thanks for the clarification. Mark did seem to indicate that the PR movements required the flat wheels and that the GMT required the recessed ones, but like you say, there seems to be exceptions to this "rule".
  19. Wow. The Zigmeister lume jobs are by far the best I've seen on this forum or any other. That SMP job does NOT look like it was done by hand!!
  20. The recessed ones won't work in watches that require the flat because when you install the dial, it'll rub. So really, you need the right date wheel, flat or recessed, based on what's already in there and not necessarily based on movement type since there seems to be variance from movement to movement. My 2893 with recessed tooth wheel happens to be on its way to The Zigmeister right now so he can take a look at it.
  21. Nope. Bought it used from a forum member about 6 months ago. I was under the impression that it was an older watch, probably well over a year by now.
  22. My understanding is that some (most ?) variants of the 2893 may be incompatible with the 2836 style wheel.
  23. Hi, all, I spoke to The Zigmeister about this, and it appears as though my particular 2893 datewheel is different than any he has seen. Typically he says the 289X variants have flat datewheels with the teeth on the same plane as the numbers. The 2836 wheels, however, have recessed teeth. Well, as luck would have it, my original 2893 datewheel had recessed teeth also. And so Mark's wheel fits. Here are pics of my original 2893 datewheel if you want to compare with yours:
  24. Wow. That looks incredible. And I've simply lost track of how many times The Zigmeister's work has exceeded my very high expectations. I'm no Radiomir guy normally, but how much do you want for it?
