  1. Yep. I've found on my 196 that the stem needed trimming to accommodate the thicker crown too... In this case you've just got even more to trim.
  2. Heh. I'm going to have to check between the lugs the next time I have the bracelet off. I've never paid any attention to what it says in there....
  3. Good AR plays tricks with your mind! @pizzanooo - What'd the gen crystal set you back? My ingy is coming home from Canada right now. It'll be lumed, serviced, and AR'ed now. I think the lume itself on the gens is fine, but that the luminous markers are just really thin so they don't really glow like a torch.
  4. Personally I don't drink the "If you go into an AD wearing a rep, you're an idiot" Kool Aid myself. And that's because 99.99% of AD sales folk I've encountered have been anything BUT knowledgeable about watches - even the ones in their own cases. Not to mention that my reps are of fairly high quality (if I do say so myself). But, the last guy who KIND OF knew about watches in general saw my 196 and said to me "nice Pan-er-ray". So, honestly, I'd have no problem sticking my 16610 rep in a Rolex AD sales person's face. None at all. But on the otherhand, I really have no burning desire to do so either.
  5. Yea, if I had to guess (and it'd just be a guess) I'd say single sided on any and all PAMs that have AR.
  6. Bought my tickets... This was the first raffle in which there were watches I would like to own. Thanks for the heads up.
  7. That's another idea.... And not a bad one.
  8. Definitely use lubricant. And I don't mean drill it out like a screw. I mean drill it out as in use the drill to dislodge it.
  9. Are you doing this freehand or with a press?
  10. Get another bit and drill it out.
  11. A press with a large die that fits around the bezel should do it.
  12. I just can't keep track of all these Asian movements... This is part of the reason I don't own any, I guess.
  13. Here's my gen triplock, and please ignore the smudges on the side of the case
  14. I know a guy inland a bit from SF.....
  15. Nice report. I wonder if the same minor changes were made to the black/white version. I'm very tempted to get one, strip the AR, have it recoated double sided, and clip the feet off the dial logo..... Not an Omega fan per se, but the PO has definitely grown on me. If the crown/tube threading issues have been fixed, that might just do it!
  16. I agree with Ubi. Genuine is the only game in town...
  17. When you look at some of those pics, you've got to sort of wish you didn't sell it!!! Great pics of a great watch. But I know you're lovin' the 111I !!
  18. An ode to the A,P,K,Y serial submariner...

  20. That Ferrari is the DA BOMB !
  21. What kind of pricing have you found on the gen crown and tube sets?
  22. Nice one, Stephane. Be sure to double check all those bracelet screws - especially on both sides of the endlinks... Many of us have lost those (and almost had the watch fall off our wrists in the process). Take 'em out, apply a little loctite, and screw 'em back down nice and tight.
  23. I almost ordered the Ti after receiving the SS - because I liked it so much. EL (at that time) told me not to order the Ti because it wasn't the same watch - i.e. the quality left something to be desired. He thought that at some point they'd be released an upgraded Ti version, but I don't think that ever happened.
