Yea, forget the davidsen dial. That is one heck of a looker. The DW and the cyclops put it in the elite group of reps in the world for sure. These are simple mods that nobody should overlook.

Yes, you can do this with Photoshop camera raw very easily using two exposures. I've never used the plug-in, though.

Pam 089 ran from series D - G, so I would suspect that the earlier models had no AR while the later ones probably did. And they would have been interior AR only, in all likelihood. But that's just a guess based on the general Vendome trend.

Tough. The one on the right looks dressier to me. The one on the left looks sportier. The both of both worlds would be the dial from the one on the right with the black bezel insert from the one of the left.

These are neat. They could be DIYed for less, but not a whole lot less I don't think...

I think the reduced reflections bring the dial detail into better focus when you look at the watch. So on a watch with a fantastic dial like the VCO (and the Steelfish I might add) it really makes a tremendous difference.

Not just Breitlings, let me tell you!! After getting my VCO done, I can't stop wearing it and staring at it!! It's hard to describe, but the AR just pushes it over the top and makes it look like a genuine expensive watch.

I might suggest posting the pics and question to the Breitling forum. Those guys will surely know if that watch is coated. I don't think it is.

Weekends start on Friday morning in Europe? Brilliant!!! Sticking with the newly double AR coated VCO through the weekend. What a difference it makes on this watch! Of course the upgraded cross, superlume, and bracelet mods don't hurt either!

What kind of watch is it? It should be noticeable if it's there. You can angle it so that you can see a reflection from an overhead light source in it. The reflection should have a slightly bluish tint (possibly greenish or yellowish depending on AR type, but those are uncommon) if it is AR coated. I've noticed the blue effect is quite noticeable under florescent lighting.

Check out my AR Reference Thread and the section on AR stripping. I was able to successfully strip the rep coating off my Breitling Seawolf Avenger Ti crystal. Lacquer thinner and #0000 steel wool were the ticket. The crystal survived and I'm sending it in for coating in round 2. Try it at your own risk, and please follow the safety precautions I talk about in the post. Wow... We might be full for round 3 already.

Round 3 is overflowing already.... This has sort of taken me by surprise. I'm going to have to cut it off. The starting timeframe is a few weeks. I might want to push it out beyond tax day.
