Excellent!!! I will also be installing the crown on my 7753 196. Did you have to shave the crown lever down at all to get it to close over the thicker crown?
My caseback was installed correctly. I removed it to have a peek at the movement as I always do after receiving a new watch.
Clearly, though, there is some sloppiness at this particular factory. We shouldn't be terribly surprised.
Hard to say. My guess would be it has/had to do with the (mis)handling of the dials at the factory and that the paint isn't just flaking off. They're all coming from the same place, and all seem to have this issue, which by the way I had never noticed with the naked eye.
"Bikes (the pedal kind)"
Name the movie that this reponse comes from.... Is there another kind?!?
BTW I have a Santa Cruz Superlight MTB and an Ibex Corrida commuter that I ride to work on.
Hmm, mine is on its way to Canada right now, but I have some hi-res pics on my computer at home. I'll check them tonight. I hadn't noticed this though.
Either way, it would seem like a fairly easy thing to fix.
I'd want to use a press to fix it so it'd seal properly, but if you don't care about it being water tight then you could just press it in with your thumb.
The "just change the channel" argument comes to mind. This is an interesting post, but if you don't fancy it then just simply click to the next one. The good thing about these forums is that there are plenty of posts to choose from.
