  1. I don't know about that; I drive a couple of nice cars and have a pretty big house but I've been reliably informed I dress like a tramp! PS Tesco Value shirts are
  2. I can't envisage any problems as long as the images are hosted remotely, IE on photbucket etc. Keith
  3. Here's my SSD on a PU Diver: I think it really suits the watch. And a NATO and Di Modelle Rallye. Enjoy!
  4. I'll be wearing one of my gens today.......
  5. I'll be wearing this one if the fish will let me. Now where are my chainmail gloves?
  6. eddie, you can have my SSD bracelet if you like. It's brand new, I swapped it for a PU Diver as soon as the watch arrived. PM me your address and I'll pop it in the post today.
  7. Josh SSD on PU Diver. (Again!)
  8. I am in love. That watch is awesome.
  9. Many thanks themuck, an excellent review. I too was surprised at how poor the bracelet on my SSD was, and I had no real point of reference as this was my first Rolex rep. It just felt "off". Still, no matter, my SSD sits on a heavy duty PU divers' strap now! Again, many thanks! Keith
  10. Sea-Dweller on PU Diver. So cool I have to put the central heating on.
  11. Hey guys - my Super Sea-Dweller arrived, it seems a great rep. Took it in the bath, no fogging or water ingress. The pearl seems ok to me; I'm generally very impressed with the overall finish of the watch. I'm not a fan of bracelets so I have swapped the strap for a heavy duty PU divers' strap. This won't be to every(any?)body's taste, but I like it. Also pictured is a Nato G10 strap and a Di Modell aero waterproof leather strap. All fit the watch fine, but my favourite is the PU divers'. Enjoy - Keith
  12. The super SD certainly looks good, and it appears to be water resistant also. Remember that any non-WIS wouldn't: a: even know what rehaut is b: know what constitutes a "correct" cg and pearl c: have any idea about the etched crown Besides which, even gens have subtle changes over the production run, so who's to say what's "correct" at any given time? WIS are different to "normal" people of course, and will pick up these tiny faults immediately. But still, come on guys, this is a $300 watch Feel free to spend $4000 instead to fix these issues!
  13. Why can I buy a
  14. Hi all - I'm pretty much a rep noob. Currently I have a PAM 177G which I really like, but I'm after something all-metal to wear. I've been looking at various subs, sd's, planet oceans, SFSOs and I just stumbled across the IWC Ingenieur. Man, what a watch. I'm ordering one from ptswiss, but before I pull the trigger, is there anything to watch out for (pardon the pun). I've been doing some reading on mods, looks like AR and a Lello date wheel are "must-haves" - any tips or tricks (or known issues) I should be aware of? Thanks in advance guys Keith
  15. Hi I was browsing in the jeweller's today, killing some time before a city centre meeting. The guy in question is an AD for Rolex, Omega, Breitling and some "fashion" watches like Gucci and Armani. So anyway I'm wearing my (rep) 177 PAM on a Europelli Shell Cordovan - almost immediately the AD came over and said "Nice watch!" I said thanks, and nothing more. Ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies........ We got chatting, I ended up trying on an LV Sub, a Sea Dweller, a black PO, and a blue SFSO. Firstly; compared to my PAM all these watches are tiny! (The PO is actually a bit bigger in diameter iirc, but doesn't look it). The size of the Rolex watches on my wrist was surprising; I guess I'm just used to the big fat PAM. I do like the LV sub though, this may lead to me actually buying a gen one. The SFSO in the flesh was a beauty; lovely and thick. It had a straight "S" tail. Perhaps the reps are indeed accurate! Slightly underwhelmed by the PO - perhaps it's just not my cup of tea. After a while I had to go to my meeting; shook hands with the AD; he said it was nice to have a chat with "someone really interested in watches"! cheers Keith
  16. My first rep; PAM 177 on a Europelli Shell Cordovan Broadband.
