  1. Heaven forbid someone should even suggest they are too expensive or that would should stop buying them in protest. The last time I suggested that, some numbnut called Magagne busted my balls on it (even though he ultimately agreed with me). Seriously though, the rep prices are going stupid and that's not all, we are getting substandard movements in the watches sold as genuine ETAs. Either we all do what you did and quit this hobby or we just suck it in and soldier it. I have most of the reps I wanted when I started out on this hobby a year ago and these days it has to be pretty special before I even consider shelling out and if I liked a watch that much, I'd buy the gen. My suggestion is stop buying for a while. Eventually the prices will go down due to diminished demand.
  2. I don't think the OP was refering to steam inside the crystal rather than to steam outside the crystal. If the latter, then it may well be a side effect of AR coatings. AR coatings on optics have long been see to display anti-fogging properties and that is probably what accounts for the difference he is refering to.
  3. Get a Noobmariner. Robust, functional and close enough to the Gen to not raise suspicion as to its rep origins. I've taken my Noob swimming, into hot showers and gone diving off 10m boards with it and it has not suffered the slightest.
  4. I asked Andrew about the pricing on this and he told me that it was down to the high price of the gen they bought and that the hand inlaid dial cost nearly $100 to make. Still, if this doesn't sell they will never recoup their investment and will have no choice but to lower the price. It's nice but not a must-have nice especially as the 4 A7750's I've had all developed problems. 2 Daytona's died a death, an SMP Chrono started running backwards, was sent back and was lost and a replacement BCE then stopped within 3 days of delivery. If they throw in a free servicing and a 1 year warranty, I would consider it but as it stands it's too much wonga for a timebomb of a movement.
  5. Let me get this right: you have a pop at me for suggesting that the price for this new watch was way too much. You then agree with me that it is too high and you won't buy one either. I then suggest, not especially seriously, that we should not purchase for a month or two as a protest at every increasing prices and mislabelled movements. Note, I didn't order anyone, it was a suggestion. So, what is the problem? You cretinous tool.
  6. I am suggesting people follow my opinion, I haven't ordered anyone. What's your problem?
  7. Tell you what, why don't I just let you buy it, since you think it's value for money. In fact, it's goons like you who will continue to pay these silly prices so we all have to pay through the nose. Tell me, do you think it's worth $538?
  8. Which dealer is this available from? All the usual suspects (Narikaa, Angus, Jandrew etc) can't get hold of it even though it is listed on some of their sites. I've been after one for over a year. $538+!? WTF? They can go swivel. To be honest, the prices are getting stupid. I suggest we all stop buying for a month or two as a protest.
  9. That is really, really nice. It would look great on a black croc strap and would finally allow me to get the JLC Reverso out of my system. I've been jonesing for a rectangular watch for ages.
  10. That is a great idea. Let's all chip in for a fully modded MBW for the guy. And let's engrave the back, Asil Nadir-style, with 'Don't let the bastard get you down'.
  11. Says the guy who emblazon's his posts with a Ferrari and an M3. Seriously though, the OP is just a total [censored]. Show some class and some compassion. Obviously the hypocrisy and irony is lost on him. Insurance salesman...says it all really. It's summer, he won't be needing his coat.
  12. That may well be true as the vast majority of PMC personnel are ex-special forces anyway. To give you an example, my ex-SBS buddies now work as Veritas International, one of the world's leading maritime security companies. These guys are the number 1 choice of luxury yacht owners around the world including Paul Allen and Roman Abramovitch. I've seen these guys at work and given the kit, the resources and the huge financial incentives involved, they are as good as any serving military unit.
  13. I plan to stick two fingers up at rising oil prices by buying one of these when they come out: http://autoreview.belproject.com/item/19 157mpg!
  14. Remember the Cybergenics ads of the early nineties? When Franco Santoriello went from an average Joe to IFBB pro in apparently 12 weeks? Those ads were incredible and made Cybergenics the biggest supplement company in the world at the time. But it came out that Franco was using a little something else in his stack and it all started going south for the company. Steroids cannot make up for genetics deficiencies. Even freaks like Flex Wheeler who literally had a mutation that allowed him to pile on muscle with little effort couldn't overcome terrible calves - he ended up having implants.
  15. I think you've got the wrong end of the stick. Most supplements are very hokey but some do work - study after study has shown creatine works as does HMB. But they don't work as well as steroids. Nothing works as well as steroids but that said, even steroids need hard work, good nutirition and supreme genetics to give the kind of effects you see on your average IFBB or NPC competitor. There are a couple of jokers in the gym who are both on a ridiculous six compound stack - enough juice to kill a horse, but they still look like they barely lift, even after 12 weeks. They train twice a week using piddly little weights and expect to look like Ronnie Coleman. Where the problem lies is in the marketing of these supplements. They state or imply 'steroid-like' effects and use endorsements from guys who built their physiques using drugs and people buy into that dream. The only thing that can give 'steroid-like' effects are steroids themselves (and hard work, nutrition and genetics) and given the expectation level, anything less is a massive disappointment and subsequent disillusionment. As with anything, it is a choice. I'm currently clean but if I choose to juice again, I would have no issue with it as I have done my research and have quantified the risk and decided it is one I can live with. Great results are possible without juice. I'm proof that you can train natural and make superb progress. I think it's great you are going down that route too.
  16. It sounds like you've swallowed the marketing. 'Blood dilator' and 'exchange of oxygen to blood'...these terms mean very little. NOS works, allegedly, because of the breakdown of Arginine (alpha ketoglutarate) and other amino acids into Nitric Oxide which causes blood vessels to dilate. This the same mechanism that Viagra and other ED drugs work. The effect is immediate. It is the creatine in the formulation that can take a week to kick in so any strength gains are placebo but the increased pump isn't. The only difference between various brands is the quality of the ingredients and the amounts they use. I favour Amped because I've tried others and found they didn't agree with me in some way. Most work, some didn't but you pay your money, you take your chance. Mike Mentzer advocated not taking any extra protein and his reasoning makes sense but is flawed. Personally I take 1g per lb of bodyweight per day spread over 5/6 meals. If you're eating about 30-40g of protein per meal, you have nothing to worry about. Protein assimilation is a strange one. It depends on genetics and also your body's needs. If you are training, protein is absorbed quciker and in greater quantities. Steroids help assimilation but generally if you're taking up to 50-60g per meal and you're training hard, you should be fine - it's not going to harm you. Better to overestimate than under.
  17. I have a group of friends who are an Ex-SBS platoon. They are the hardest, fittest, most professional bunch of soldiers I have ever come across. My vote goes to them and also to their US counterparts, the Seals. I have also heard them speak highly of Mossad.
  18. It increases the flow of blood into the muscle, carrying in more nutrients and oxygen and flushing out more waste products. It also increases vascularity as a result which gives an enhanced look to the muscle and more volume. If you don't get a good pump, your muscle hasn't been worked hard enough. A good pump is a sign of a good, intense workout. NOS helps you achieve that quicker.
  19. GABA is weird stuff. I used it extensively back in the nineties. It gives you pins and needles within 10 minutes of using it and it also allows you to get more quality sleep. I used to have 4 hours of sleep on it and feel totally refreshed. Shame that it's been pulled since a lot of people have been using to make GHB (liquid ecstasy). It's still around but it's rarer than it used to be. It's a very good GH precursor.
  20. No, Amped is a nitrous drink but contains creatine malate, AAKG, BCAA's and caffeine. It's used as a workout support drink as it gives tremendous pumps (and I mean AMAZING), energy and focus and it also increase endurance and overall strength. The first time I used it I was off my face for 6 hours. It gets you wired.
  21. Prednisone is a corticosteroid and is not in the same class of drugs as anabolic steroids. A steroid is any compound that has a 'sterol' group in its molecular structure. Cholesterol could also be deemed to be a 'steroid'. HIIT should be a good adjunct to any bodybuilding program as it keeps you lean without causing the skinny runner's physique that prolonged cardio can cause. As long as your protein levels are high and your carb levels are low to moderate you should be able to gain lean mass albeit not as quick as if more carbs were involved but then you would end up fat too. HMB is very good insofar as it prevents breakdown of muscle during dieting or intense training. It has a similar effect to Winstrol in that regard. Not a builder, more of a maintainer. Nitrous drinks are fantastic. Treat them like a glorified version of Red Bull however they are great way to get creatine and BCAA's into your bloodstream prior to training. Don't take them every day as per the instructions but only take it on training days and you will get a superb workout and it will last longer. Personally, Met-Rx Amped is the best supplement I've ever used. Period. Unbelieveable stuff. Lou looks like he's got early stage gynecomastia. Which is odd considering he doesn't look like he's on the gear anymore. Basically, he's taken so much gear, probaly something like testosterone or anadrol without taking an anti-aromatase, that this excess testosterone has converted itself into estrogen and he's started growing breasts. Unless it's bad, he won't need surgery just a couse of Tamoxifen or Arimidex and some Clomid to normalise his natural testosterone.
  22. TomH on this board did this for me on a Daytona. Didn't work.
  23. Looks really good. If you ever decide to sell them, put me down for one.
